Links: www.facebook.com/creativecourt.org www.twitter.com/creative_court http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creative_Court
Mission and Objectives

Concepts of international law and democracy are relatively young and still developing. One may wonder if they will ever be fully perfect. At Creative Court, we believe that it is quite impossible to achieve lasting peace simply through rules and regulations. True peace can only be found through our shared humanity.
Creative Court develops art projects and reflects on peace and justice. We aim to become a leading source of inspiration for human consciousness and connection. We work from the understanding that art has the ability to incite empathy and reflection, vital characteristics for peaceful coexistence.
Creative Court is based in The Hague, seat of the Dutch government and international city of peace and justice.

Main Projects / Activities

We look into challenging issues of current times, unspoken realities of history and related underlying emotions, which are often impossible to put into words. We strive to disrupt common notions, embrace complexity, and walk a path of nuance. We like to question rather than answer, and we prefer showing ‘the other side’ to taking a stand.
At Creative Court, we tell intimate stories that people can personally connect to, share factual information, and pose overarching questions concerning humankind. We collaborate with international artists, curators, journalists, scientists, and many others. Quality, imaginative power and accessibility are key to our work. Preferring to function without a permanent space, the world is our stage.
Our audience ranges from the general public, to people interested in art, society, and human rights, to law specialists and policy makers.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Creative Court stimulates awareness by translating difficult topics into engaging experiences for a wide audience. We think that our way of working may be interesting for other organisations in  the Network.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We are interested in meeting new partners, either from the arts field or from the global justice field, for the purpose of starting up innovative collaborations at the interface of art, peace and justice.
We are specifically open to initiatives related to: (post-)conflict, reconciliation, human rights, democracy, terrorism, colonialism, freedom of expression, gender, modern slavery, cultural identity and refugee issues.

Mission and Objectives

TSF is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization that works to bring lasting and sustainable changes to social and economic problems. It is established as a research, training and policy hub to respond to the challenges
confronting Egypt and the Middle East North Africa region at large. The Foundation envisions seeing marginalized and vulnerable populations in Egypt capable of living a quality of life where technological innovation, education and economic empowerment are leveraged on sustainability. Our experts aspire to work hand-in-hand with all relevant stakeholders on the ground; including and not limited to; academic institutions, corporations, government agencies, nonprofits and individuals. Our plan is to advise national governments on issues related to sustainable development and implement the projects with all stakeholders involved. We focus on providing social and economic opportunities for all people regardless their racial profile, gender, age, religious beliefs or disability. Our uniqueness also comes in our approach to each of these sectors, as we believe in integrating media, the arts, sports and technology to find solutions that are innovative, engaging and long lasting.

Main Projects / Activities

TSF has broad interests in many sectors such as climate and society, education, healthcare, mental health, renewable energy, and public welfare. At TSF we promote sustainable, scalable, community-led progress towards the use of scientifically validated interventions. We ensure ownership of governments, local and community stakeholders. One of our core beliefs is increasing capacity and community empowerment through training and knowledge sharing with local governments and Community Based Organizations (CBOs). Partnering with the public and private sectors, innovative NPOs, universities, leading experts, and the international donor community to continually improve and coordinate development strategies. Public awareness and combatting stigmatized segments of the society is one of our main strategic areas of interest. Awareness about mental health issues, struggles and creating opportunities for stigmatized psychiatric and psychologically affected individuals to become completely integrated, functional, productive and most importantly passionate about their lives in the bigger society are our main objectives.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

We bring in local and international expertise in working in sustainable development. Our ideas are innovative and unorthodox as we try to address the chronic problems we have been facing in our region using arts, sports and use of technology to make the beneficiaries more engaged ensuring buy in and sustainability of whatever we have planned in our projects. We are sure our inputs will be enriching to all members of this esteemed network.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We would like to share our experiences with other members of the network and learn from their experiences in order not to reinvent the wheel in any way. To be able to collaborate and make strategic partnerships and alliances with the other member organizations for mutually benefitial purposes allowing our work overall to become more cost-effective, efficient and not redundant at all.
