DSCHUNGEL WIEN – Theatre for Young Audience, established in 2004 in MuseumsQuartier Wien, is a centre and platform for arts and culture, a unique example of a theatre for young audiences with a national and international reputation.

We are a public institution, certified as non-profit and supported through public funding by state and city with budgetary resources around 1,000.000€ a year. 32 staff members are employed, who work in press, production, office, meditation and audience services.

With more than 600 performances per season, DSCHUNGEL WIEN presents a diverse
range of events with a main focus on artistic quality. A big part of the program is theatre and dance mediation (Workshops, classes, long-term projects) in schools and with different groups.

Our main partners are ASSITEJ Austria, AK Wien, der Standard, Ö1 and Raiffeisen Bank. The mediation program is partners with wienXtra, VZA, PlayTogetherNow, Juvivo, integration wien, Interface, Flash Mädchencafé, oiip, etc.

Mission and Objectives

Our Mission is based on the fact, that every child has a right to participate in the arts and cultural activities and on the vision to create this reality. Dschungel Wien is an authentic platform, where young people negotiate their perspectives, interests and realities through the theatre, dance and performance. We put a spotlight on young peoples’ reflections on society, wishes, fears and visions but also their provocations and utopias in our performances for and with young audiences. In our theatre meditation program, we process a lot of non-profit projects, that focus on participation, co-creation and cultural education with different groups (refugees, people with disabilities, etc.). If a young person can’t afford attending a theatre performance or any other cultural activity in Dschungel Wien, the entry is for free.

Main Projects / Activities

Our main focus is on theatre and dance performances for young audiences from toddlers to young adults. Every season we present around 500 performances of 60 or more pieces to school classes, families, kindergarden groups, etc. Besides that, we take part or organize theatre mediation programs in schools, youth centres, kindergardens in the centre and at the periphery of the city, we organize discussions, panels, festivals with and for our young audiences. These programs consist of Workshops on different topics (gender, emancipation, diversity, resilience, democracy, etc.), poetry slams, dance battles, open spaces, long-term theatre classes theatre performances with young actors, political debate programs and long-term projects.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

We as an organization have an expertise of childrens’, teenagers’ and young adults’ realities and express those on an artistic level with or for young people. Furthermore, we see our place as a platform for young communities to meet and exchange and a space, were public discourses can take place. We can offer representation, space, human resources and ideas.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We want to expand our profile and shift the focus more on children’s rights, gender equality, diversity strategies and democracy values. Therefore, we are looking for partners to cooperate on projects, workshops and discussion panels in different fields.

The organization was created in the belief that creativity & working with artists can accelerate the process of integration especially amongst unaccompanied minors and their Swedish peers. The programme is supported by Göteborg Stad and VG Regionen & various trusts & foundations c 200, 000 sek per year/project. ROL works on artistic projects in partnership with institutions including the World Culture Museum , Gothenburg University, Röhsska Museum, community organisations Blå Stället, Frölunda Kulturhus, Support Group network & with formal and informal education providers, offering inclusive workshop experiences.

Mission and Objectives

River of Light (ROL) is a non-profit association.
ROL is an independent, non-political and non religiously affiliated association and its mission is to provide opportunities for innovative, creative and social engagement. The vision is for an inclusive society where there is respect for difference and everyone lives equally and free from discrimination. The project was created in the belief that creativity and working with artists can accelerate the process of integration especially amongst unaccompanied minors and their Swedish peers.
It is home to a diversity of people and ideas, ROL reflects a spirit of inclusiveness, a global perspective, and the cultivation of integrity, compassion, civility and ethical behavior as foundational to living well together.

Main Projects / Activities

The main activities are workshop based (for example lantern -making) which serve as meeting points in the community for new arrivals and Swedish young people and families, and use art as a tool to break the boundaries of language, geography, cultural divisions and thereby bring people of all kinds of backgrounds together who would not normally meet. ROL works in partnership with arts institutions, in community settings and in informal and formal educational settings to introduce new and sustainable ways of working.

ROL also offers training days for students in higher education and teachers, and training and work opportunities for artists from a range of cultural backgrounds making them more visible to the arts and arts education sectors.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

We believe we can contribute to the Network's aim of creating a culture of dialogue and exchange and have resources, skills and cultural capital to share with the other members in order to bring about much needed change. We have been working effectively in partnership with Rasha Shaaban and other colleagues at the World Culture Museum to make a positive impact in the city and region over the last couple of years and this more formal relationship would make our partnership more strategic and influential, especially now in response to Black Lives Matter. We could also contribute in practical ways by providing workshop experiences for members, by speaking at conferences or hosting networking events.
We recognise that there is a long way to go, and that we have a responsibility and desire to contribute to a larger network in order to bring about positive change more rapidly.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

ROL shares the strategic vision and organisational values (empathy, inclusivity and creativity) of the foundation.

ALF will provide ROL with new regional contacts and opportunities which will add to our own growing network

ALF will give ROL a more global perspective and reach and the potential to work internationally.

General Information

EurAsia Dance Project International Network, directed by Stefano Fardelli, has more than 20 EurAsia Partners in 18 countries all over the world through Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, Pacific States and Central America. It has become one of the biggest dance networks worldwide and one of the cultural "bridges" linking the five continents.
The Network is supported by all the Italian Embassies and Italian Cultural Institutes of the countries where it is based, and also by all the EurAsia Partners, governments and institutions, both private and public.
EurAsia Dance Project International Network is a Non Profit Association legalized by the Italian Government: it is a great opportunity for young dancers and choreographers of any origin. It enables them to study abroad and spread out their culture, share their experiences, giving them access to artistic residencies, meetings, shows and dance opportunities at the highest level of the global dance scene.
The EurAsia Partners are based in UK, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Poland, India, Iran, Indonesia, Kuwait, Senegal, Mexico, Holland, Denmark, Switzerland, South Pacific United States, South Africa, Armenia, Nepal and shortly new partners will join us from Brasil, Italy, Gambia, Ghana, Serbia, and India. All of them support all the events we organize and all of them represent their countries in the world through EurAsia itself.
Our non european partners give their talents the chance to be selected, and our european partners give them the chance to study and become real professionals.

Mission and Objectives

The EurAsia Auditions are on tour in the poorest and most dangerous countries of the globe in order to give a chance to all those kids who share our same passion, helping them to fight for a better life and to fulfill their dream of becoming professional dancers.
With the support of all the EurAsia Partners, EurAsia´s Artistic Director is creating the first generation of contemporary professional dancers in many countries of the world, changing the dance history of these countries but also helping them to spread out their cultures abroad, breaking the borders between the continents.
Thanks to these new cultural meetings and fusions, EurAsia also gave birth to a new taste in contemporary dance, where different bodies, different ways of moving and traditional dances meet in one single place: Europe.

Main Projects / Activities

The network wants to be a chance for cultural exchange and cultural meetings. It allows these students to take auditions for the biggest academies of Europe without flying abroad. The students selected during the EurAsia Auditions win a 50% / 80% scholarship for all the 3 / 4 year professional programs.
The EurAsia Auditions are on tour in Iran, India, Mexico, Indonesia, Kuwait, Senegal, Armenia, Nepal, South Africa, Gambia, Papua New Guinea and many other countries.

After being selected, students become part of EurAsia International Network as EurAsia Students and they get the chance to be chosen for international exchange studying programs, as well as for dance contests, artistic residencies, international festivals and other dance opportunities abroad, granted by all the EurAsia Partners. Eurasia also involves them in its own activities: EurAsia Summer Camp, EurAsia Prize, EurAsia Dance Award and EurAsia Repertory.
All the EurAsia initiatives in Europe are free of charge for the EurAsia Students. EurAsia is taking care of everything they need.

Once they finish their professional training, our students become EurAsia Dancers and they have the chance to work with the biggest international dance companies, EurAsia Partners, and of course for EurAsia Dance Company and Stefano Fardelli´s projects on tour all over the world.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Thanks to the several dance opportunities granted by the EurAsia Partners, EurAsia is opening its calls for European Dancers too. Since 2016, when the network was founded, our European Students have had the chance to study with many talents coming from abroad and to travel to their distant countries, in order to experience the stories they heard from their foreigner classmates.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

EurAsia Dance Project International Network would be glad to be part of ALF Network in order to connect with more institutions that share both our aims and view of the future for the new generations of the world.
EurAsia look forward to build up new collaborations and partnership.
EurAsia look forward to support other projects and to receive support for the EurAsia´s commitments too.

General Information

We are a local youth NGO that uses art and culture in place of conflict and violence as tools to promote Peace. Currently, we have two paid staff members, and 15 volunteers. Budgetary resource in a year: About 30,000 Euros Sources of previous funding: Euromed Feminist Initiative – E.U. Madad, U.S. Embassy Beirut, U.N. Youth Solidarity Fund, and we also receive a small amount of funds from art and music classes. Modalities of action: There are too many to list. I have attached a summary of our activities for the last two years. Main partners: United Nations Network of Young Peacebuilders, E.U., U.N., U.S. Embassy Beirut

Mission and Objectives

Mission: Positive Young Changemakers Peace of Art is a local organization that uses Art and culture in place of conflict and violence as tools to promote Peace. We create groups of young changemakers to be the future leaders in Art and to transform a culture of violence, discrimination, extremism and ignorance into tolerance, acceptance, development, and freedom. We break barriers and create an alternative culture that promotes peaceful coexistence and reduces the negative impact of conflict and armed violence in villages of different ethnic, religious, and political backgrounds in North Bekaa through art, education, and culture. Objectives: Build a youth-led community where art and other nonviolent means of communication are employed for the betterment of society. We do this through designed programs that focus on fine art training (music, theater, photography, film making, drawing), and civil training (citizenship, acceptance toward others, leadership skills, conflict mediation and resolution).

Main Projects / Activities

Peace of Art’s Activities: Art trainings (music, theater, photography, video art production, robotics); civil trainings (conflict resolution, peace building thought art and education, leadership skills, tolerance, acceptance toward others); capacity building for youth & women (preserving cultural heritage, carpet weaving, musical instruments, local handmade crafts, and language courses); and organizing youth training programs, and art events (music festivals, photography and drawing exhibitions, film screenings).

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

We build youth-led community dialogues though the fine arts which are building alternative narratives to extremist beliefs and ideologies. So we can contribute by being a voice for the North Bekaa region and a representative of youth-led intercultural dialogue and relations in the area.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We are in a very rural area and we are the only activity center within a two-hour drive for 400,000+ Lebanese and Syrian refugees. Additionally, we are the only activity center that works on intercultural dialogue within an even greater distance. We rely on our participation in the global community to enhance and support our work and connect with partners to strengthen our skills, outreach, and policy advocacy, as art is often the last priority in places of conflict; and Lebanon has seen/is seeing its share of conflict. We would also like a greater opportunity to partner with local organizations that we may not normally connect with due to our ruralness. ALF is the perfect way to connect globally with organizations that promote dialogue between cultures. We would also be excited to offer the opportunity for our youth to participate in dialogues at the "Young Mediterranean Voices"

Mission and Objectives

Planta Panta Tree's vision is to be the leading organization in bringing to children and the coming generation massive awareness about the value and importance of a tree to a human being.

The vision is to plant trees for children's nutrition, clean air, and water. Once accepted, the vision is to go to as many schools that will accept our program and cause awareness about the importance of trees through teachings, and hands-on practices of planting trees together with the children. Influencing governments to adopt PPT`s "recycling in order to plant trees method" wherever possible. Our ratio 1;4 is that for each cut tree, plant four.

Planta Panta Tree's mission is to inform, remind, and educate people both young and old the importance and urgency of the need of living trees for the survival of mankind.

PPTI encourages environmental awareness to children and people, regardless of gender, race, age, physical ability, or geographical location, using the following methods: Reach people especially children at schools and in the community. As early as possible, begin to create environmental awareness for children to love and appreciate trees and nature. PPTI's motto is “ your can/ bottle is a potential tree”. By locally and internationally introducing the Panta= Plantera träd method, (recycling in order to plant trees) or else nations might be full of plastic by 2050. Trees clean both the air and the water naturally, and therefore we need more trees.

We need to create a generational shift in this understanding. We need to introduce panta/recycling internationally Connect with trees: by tree observing, by tree climbing, etc. Provide small greenhouses for children to plant their own trees. Open tree clubs locally and internationally. Provide children with a framework to play and socialize while planting trees eg. creating small hobbit homes out in nature. To mobilize parents about the importance of trees so that they too may bring their children to the program To work with the educators, to embrace the program, and to develop an environmentally friendly curriculum. Advocacy with policymakers such as; municipality, ministries and regulatory agencies to endorse and support the program

Main Projects / Activities

Tree planting activities in schools and in nature. Tree clubs in schools, small Hobbit houses out in nature for children's play to help them realize that nature is actually fun. We produce PPT water that benefits tree planting initiatives. We recycle in order to plant trees.
