General Information
The Department of Political Sciences and its Middle East Research Centre work in institutional framework. The staff consists of 5 teachers. The university is mainly a state supported educational institution, but the different projects, scientific conferences etc. are financed by tenders, foundations or sponsoring. For instance, the international conference of the Middle East Research Centre in November last year on the Barcelona Process was completely financed by sponsors.
Mission and Objectives

The Middle East Research Centre takes part in the teaching and scientific work of the Faculty, conducts and helps Hungarian and foreign students in preparing their theses about Middle East topics, fosters interrelations and co-operation with similarly focused institutions abroad and in Hungary. It organizes lectures, workshops, conferences, its experts offer analysis and commentary for television, radio, and printed media.

Mission and Objectives

aMAZElab is investigating the key points of territory and society, handling the great themes of changing realities from an artistic point of view. It sets out to create an anthropology of day to day life. It is not a defined space, a container of works, yet it is able to transform the territory into an ongoing workshop-cum-field of action. The city and its inhabitants are openly surveyed from a wide variety of observation points, following the movements of groups and peaking into the folds of urban living, opening up new spaces for discussion and art exhibitions

Main Projects / Activities

GOING PUBLIC is a mobile open platform, a network of production, reflection and cultural exchange, that establishes itself in peripheral areas. GOING PUBLIC invites artists to work on places of the city, such as railway stations, public libraries, schools, ect…. The project develops an attitude for intervention in social issues, together with local communities, in the fold of public policy, nomad’s, of today’s precarious and temporary settlements. The researches are addressed to contemporary subjects such as: mobility, borders, new geographies, new EU, Mediterranean and eastern cultures, micro-geographies, ect...

UNINETTUNO has carried out research projects on the new technologies applied to the teaching and learning processes at national, European and international level. Managing boards: the Board of Directors, the President, the Rector, the Academic Senate, the Evaluation Team, the Board of the Auditors. - Financial resources: from university fees and taxes, institutional activities, from allocations and funds supplied by public agencies, companies, private citizens and from European funding. - UNINETTUNO collaborates with 11 Euro Mediterranean Countries such as Algeria, Egypt, France, Jordan, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey. Among partners there are traditional universities, distance universities, vocational training agencies and institutions, specialisation schools and technological partners.
Mission and Objectives

The University carries out research, study and training activities using distance education means. Its initiatives aimed at making the services supporting distance training courses offered to students accessible and at favouring the access of youths into the labour market and enhancing the training of employees taking into account the situation of the national, community and international social and economic system.
The University acts in full scientific, didactic, financial and accounting autonomy and asserts this autonomy in such a way as to grant the efficacy of its activities, transparency and the publicity of the procedures and decision-making process.
In order to carry out international cooperation, the University can enter into agreements with Universities and scientific and cultural institutions; to this end it can promote and encourage the exchange of professors, researchers and students at international level.

Med Net’U – Mediterranean Network of Universities – Project, funded by the European Commission in the framework of the EUMEDIS Programme for the creation of the Euro Mediterranean Distance University.
The Open Sky Europe Project, funded by the Delegation of the European Commission in Jordan in the framework of the Euromed Regional Communication targeted for Youth Programme for the implementation of a Master in European Studies for students of Euro Mediterranean Area.
Project: "e-Learning innovative applications for the knowledge and economical valorisation of the cultural and territorial patrimony of the Mediterranean Sea” funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research in the framework of the FIRB funding.

The work in South and East Mediterranean countries is developed and implemented through an extensive network of partnerships with NGOs and institutions. The WWF Mediterranean Programme includes ongoing or recently completed projects in ten Mediterranean countries (Albania, Algeria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Lebanon, Libya, Montenegro, Morocco, Portugal, Turkey). Over the last five years, WWF MedPO managed a project portfolio of over 2 million Euros per year.
Mission and Objectives

The WWF Mediterranean Program’s goal is to conserve and restore the natural wealth of the Mediterranean and promote the sustainable use of natural resources. The Programme focuses primarily on the conservation of forest, freshwater and marine ecosystems, promoting the establishment of protected areas and resource use practices to maintain biodiversity and ecological functions that support human needs and livelihoods. Geographic focus is on the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean ecoregions.

Main Projects / Activities

WWF Mediterranean Programme focuses on the following thematic areas:
• Forests – Landscape level planning, establishment and management of protected areas; forest sustainable management and certification; landscape forest restoration.
• Marine and Coastal – Seascape level planning, establishment and management of multipurpose management areas, including protected areas and no-take-zones; ecosystem based fisheries.
• Freshwater – Integrated river basin management; water resource policies; freshwater conservation capacity building.
• Climate Change – Climate adaptation strategies at land/seascape level.
• Capacity building – for civil society organizations working on sustainable development issues.

Le Cefir participe depuis 1975 au vivre ensemble à Dunkerque et dans la région Nord – Pas de Calais.
