We are a unit consisting of 10 people with different specialities.  We are nine people hired at the unit Community work; four working for community based developement, two working with public health, two with youth influence and one with international projects/Eurodesk.  We cooperate in a lot of different issues and projects and we think that our common experiences and knowledge strenthens our unit. Adding to the team is our manager with former head executive experience of the regional "Rädda Barnen" (Save the Children) foundation.
Mission and Objectives

Our mission and objectives - Youth and community work unit - Culture and leisure department, City of Mölndal.

Increased security and well-being in Mölndal

Increase youth's overall experience of influence in the city
To reach these objectives we work with sustainability, co-creation, inclusion and democracy-issues in all our acitivities. At our six youth centers we daily work to strengthen the youth to be independent and active in the community, through group activities, workshops and discussions.
Except for working within our own department we want to further our cooperation and work together with other departments in the city as well as associations and the civil society. We want to develop the international perspective in the city and find collaborations community overrun.

Main Projects / Activities

Our main projects and activities consists of:

4 coordinators that work with Community based development acording to the area with projects like: Residential cultivation, women's empowerment, integration, young people giving tech and phone support to elderly, safety tours

Development and establishment of youth council where we work with democracy issues and development of the youth policy in the city.

HBTQ group for youth that works with tolerans and inclusion

Public health issues concerning dug and alchol prevention, mental health issues, integration, unvoluntary solitude and exclusion, parents support and human rights.

Eurodesk / International work- We work with EVS because we can offer informal and non-formal learning opportunities for the volunteers, which often lead to new or better jobs, along with personal and social development. We also believe that hosting volunteers in our organisation is a great enrichment to our activities on many levels. When volunteers are hosted in the youth centers we see that the youngsters grow in an intercultural aspect in the interaction with the volunteers.

General Information
C:NTACT is an independent theatre and media organisation dedicated to social and cultural integration and education, based at the Edison stage in Copenhagen, Denmark. Every year C:NTACT launches stage-, film-, radio- and journalistic productions in Denmark and elsewhere. Our core objective is to provide a platform for living encounters between people with different backgrounds in order to create dialogue and reconciliation. Our principal task is to nurture and encourage the ability to communicate thoughts, dreams, ideas, and visions. C:NTACT offers a wide variety of production processes and workshops – primarily for and with young people. Our target groups cooperate with our professional artists, teachers, and directors who assist them in creating and developing artistic products for large audiences. Through theatre, film, radio and other media C:NTACT creates intercultural encounters between people who otherwise would not have met. C:NTACT’s starting point is always the personal story rising from each individual’s own reality. C:NTACT believes that our personal stories bind us together as human beings. We constantly define and reflect the world around us through our stories. The personal story offers possible worlds to us; when we relate our stories, we present our perspective on the world. Consequently, our young participants have a close personal relation to the artistic material, at the same time gaining experience and awareness of artistic modes of expression, such as theater and film. The participants are met at eye level – but they are also met with demands. Demands are highly significant in every artistic process which – besides learning basic methods and techniques – is also about being able to cooperate and develop a common project. C:NTACT believes that insight into the various techniques, methods, and frames of reference can be instrumental in creating greater understanding and tolerance – and we believe that our stories are capable of constituting a platform for developing “the common third”. Likewise, we believe in the broad concept of culture; that culture goes way beyond mere ethnicity and national borders. When working with theatre cooperations, we usually follow three steps: RECRUITMENT: Together, we gather a group of participants who represent different social backgrounds. The project will typically be given a headline signalling a current social issue. WORKSHOPS: The participants are taught various tools to tell and share their own stories. Together with professional artists and each other, they cooperate to bring a common vision into being. PRODUCTION: The project ends with a stage performance or documentary film that can be shown to a broader audience, who can mirror their own reality to what is presented on stage. Contact have 5 employed and 20 partners, main funding is private funding and goverment and municipality funding, in Denmark and abroad. 7 to 12 million DKR is C:ntact budgetary ressources in a year.

C:NTACT always works with local theatre professionals and social organisations to set a theme relevant to the local audience they want to address, and to engage people in society who do not normally find themselves on stage––but have every right to stand there. In every single country we have visited during the years, we have entered profound partnerships with local talents and producers with whom we develop our method. We never not just arrive with a ready-made concept. Instead, we learn from new colleagues and participants––every time.
Over the years, we have worked with many organisations: NAKIPELO, Kharkiv Crisis Infocenter (Ukraine), Ma3mal 612 Think Factory (Jordan), Jordanian Women’s Union (Jordan), Hillbrow Theatre (South Africa), Irbid Art Theatre Troupe (Jordan), MedeArt (Jordan), Hala for Art Production (Egypten), NAYA for Training and Community Development (Jordan), ActionAid, ActionAid Regional Invitiative (Jordan), Community Development Committee (Jordan), Palīdzēsim (Latvia), The Danish Cultural Institute in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania (Latvia).

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

By sharing methods, knowledge and network.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

Because we work internationally and in Denmark with intercultural, intersectional understanding, and would love new friends and new inspiration.

General Information

Artistes Sans Frontières – Tunisie is a cultural association that consists of an executive board of four members and an employee, as well as volunteers. We are sustained by cotizations from the executive team, as well as donations from various organizations and revenue from the organized events. Our partners can be divided between the four stages of our artistic projects: formation (Evora Musical School, Cesaria Training) creation (Nostalgia Band), production (Studio FX) and diffusion (Tunivisions), but we also collaborate with international brands that support our activities (Institut Francais, Hard Rock Cafe, Goethe Institut and Ministry of Cultural Affaires).

Mission and Objectives

Artistes Sans Frontières – Tunisie is a team of talented youths whose mission is to democratize local people's access to world culture with a low budget. Our main target is young people who are open to creative intercultural events, and our objectives include bringing such forms of artistic expression closer to the people of Sfax, and hopefully extend the concept all through Tunisia in the years that follow.

Main Projects / Activities

Our association works with international artists and has been organizing cultural exchanges since 2012. At this time, we have made musical residency activities with our partners in Germany (Mano Muzik Festival) and France (AixQui, Poitiers) and we would like to enlarge our network and diversify our projects. The residency program aims to be a creative exchange between Tunisia and a foreign country. Our most recent project aims to take our mission one step further by creating the Cultural Container co-working space that will make Sfax an international capital of culture. We were inspired by improvised spaces in developing countries, and now we want to make the ultimate space for artistic expression, using shipping containers - this way we can optimize the production costs of events, while also centralizing and sharing the skills and expertise of the main cultural actors (organizers, freelancers, and artists). You can find links to some of our projects below: Production in Tunisia: https://youtu.be/Z-iAfdR0UXM?list=PLTpJtef-a-wpXMHWH7joHbxNIH8Ivm-iI Reportage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tI7cTIbtHZg Production in France: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiGxyhw2Mr8

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

With the musical residencies and exchanges we organize, we try to get closer to our goal of democratizing the access to world culture for both the people of Sfax and their foreign counterparts. Moreover, we wish to change Tunisia’s unequal distribution of artistic events by creating the Cultural Container, a co-working space inspired by improvised spaces in developing countries, that should become the ultimate space for artistic expression. Using shipping containers, we can achieve the same effect as the great cultural spaces of the world with a low budget and make the people of Sfax feel like real citizens of the world.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We believe our activities are ideally in line with the mission of Anna Lindh, and we feel confident that a collaborative relationship would allow us to centralize the resources, talent and skill of both our association and the foundation and can greatly benefit the national Network, as well as our target audience. Together we can improve social understanding between the corners of the Mediterranian and discover the diversity, but also the shared traits of our complex cultures.
