General Information
Our organization sees its sphere of action in Global Learning, which is based on prevention of violence and on intercultural learning. Two employees, 17 members totally.We don't have a steady budget. The employee organizing projects on prevention of violence is a teacher seconded part-time by the supervisory school authority. In 2007/08 the position of the employee in charge of intercultural dialogue is funded two-third by the Evangelische Entwicklungsdienst (17.500.-€/year, one third by our organization. For overtaking the expenses of our projects, concerning material, fees for consultants, etc. backers have been in the pastime: InWent, Europäische Akademie NRW (emphasis on development aid)and Thüringer Kultusministerium (emphasis on prevention of violence. Our main partners: Eine Welt Netzwerk Thüringen(EWNT), Interkultureller Verein e.V., SOS Kinderdorfe.V./Jugendhilfen Gera e.V., Landesstelle Gewaltprävention, Thüringer Kultusministerium, Schulamt Gera/Schmölln.
Mission and Objectives

With the globalization bringing the furthest nations seemingly in everyone's living-room, the fear to loose the own identity is growing and opens the door to rejection, racism, hate and violence. Our aim is to bring intercultural understanding into schools. We want to show the richness of diversity of all countries and nations, gushing with myriads of cultures. And we want to show, that yet the whole world is interdependent and that we have a lot more in common, than is usually known. It's the union in diversity which we try to point out. This is the most important step on the way to develop empathy. If the unknown looses its frightening face of strangeness, approaching can take place, understanding will follow and finally empathy will happen.

Main Projects / Activities

anti-aggressive: Faustlos: program for young pupils, regarding coping with anger and irritation, controlling impulses, developing empathy. Mediation:training elder pupils as mediators for their schools. Buddy:trainig teachers to develop stategies on strengthening social competences of pupils Intercultural: Projects on developing countries, as Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Benin, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Noth-Cameroon, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea, with themes such as geography, history, culture, daily life, nature, religion,...for a better understanding. Consultants are either migrants or have worked in these countries as development aid workers. Projects on "One world themes", as Fair Trade taking chocolate as example, "biodiversity and biopiracy", UN-millenniumdevelopmentgoals. These projects can last from 2 hours up to even half a year, with one class or a whole school, depending on how much stress school principal and teachers want to put on.

Mission and Objectives

EMC Ragusa works for a strong Euro-Mediterranean partnership, based on international relations, cultural exchanges in order to promote a useful dialogue and support the improvement of global community, by giving opportunities at any level.
In particular EMS Ragusa helps young people in developing skills such as leadership, social responsibility, entrepreneurship, brotherhood in order to create positive changes.
Its objectives are:
- to promote Euro-Mediterranean citizenship in the Mediterranean Area;
- to train, offer stages and job shadowing;
- to spread communication through teaching languages;

- to build concrete and successful projects;

Main Projects / Activities

1) E.M.Y.C. - Euro-Mediterranean Youth Center ù
Its main activities and medium are articulated on three platforms:
- Training Centre (managed by Ragusa), with job-shadowing (held in Med countries)
- International Audivisual Centre (on-line TV with a siege in Ragusa)
- Euro-Med café (on the Web and in the events planned)
Final goal: promotion of the European citizenship in the two shores of the Mediterranean region strengthening dialogue between cultures and intellectual cooperation

2) Music, Art, Tradition: a key to (towards) EuroMed Citizenship
Traditional Music and Dance form different countries are the language to let young people communicate, meet, know from other cultures, think about and find common values basis to build the Euro-Med citizenship.

General Information
This Women's Cultural Association has 98 members and the Board of Trustee consists of 7 members, who are elected every two years. Most of the work done for every activity, is on volunteerly basis, and there are two secretaries, to carry out the office work. The annual income consists of memberships, private donations, and sponsorships. Depending on the yearly activities, and the sums needed, there is financial support by Greek Ministry of Culture, and European Funds for Culture for Music & Film Festivals, Exchibitions, Conventions and other events organized in co operation with the Municipality.

General Information
Al Kasaba Theatre & Cinematheque realizes theatre productions for adults and children, organizes film screenings of Arab and international movies and hosts concerts and dance performances in Ramallah. The theatre's premises include two multi-purpose halls equipped with highly innovative sound, lighting and projection technologies, able to put on live shows and to screen films in Ramallah with a capacity of about 300 and 400 spectators respectively. Al Kasaba's activities are mainly funded by European governmental or non-governmental organizations. Al Kasaba has 16 staff members: 7 administration, 2 technicians, 6 reception and services and 9 actors (3 permanent and 6 freelance).
Mission and Objectives

Al-Kasaba Theatre & Cinematheque aims to provide comprehensive arts and cultural services to the community, and to promote cultural exchange on a local, Arab and international level. Throughout the last thirty-three years Al-Kasaba has worked hard to establish its reputation, unrivalled in the Palestinian context, primarily through its own theatre productions, as well as hosting international artists and providing activities and training across all art disciplines, for both adults and children. Its main objective is to activate the Palestinian cultural life in general, and its theatrical work in particular as well as to nurture talent in all fields of artistic and creative expression. Furthermore, Al Kasaba aims to make art and culture accessible and relevant to all sectors of society.

Main Projects / Activities

From its inception, Al Kasaba has been at the forefront of Palestinian theatre, staging sixty-five own productions (adults and children theatre) and participating in thirty-two Arab and International Festivals, garnering an array of different awards.
We host a number of international artists each year, besides staging our own performances and those of other local theatre, dance and music groups. We have three film screenings every day in Ramallah and we organize regularly international film weeks.

Kulturtreger has 10 regular members 2 of whom are full time employees of the organization and more than 10.000 joined members. The annual budget of the organization ranges between 50.000 and 100.000 EUR. The main sources of funding are Croatian Ministry of Culture and Coucil for Culture of the City of Zagreb along with other donors such as National Foundation for Civil Society Development. The organization is primarily involved in promotion of literature and literary education, but also of other forms of art. Main partners involved in these activites are Croatian and foreign writers, organizations involved in culture and civil society and national and regional independent media portals.

Mission and Objectives

Kulturtreger is involved in the promotion of literature, literature serving as a platform for discussing society, by developing critical culture and encouraging social responsibility and engagement. By means of literary club Booksa and other programs Kulturtreger creates space for participation and interaction and in such a way includes local community in cultural exchange. The objectives of the organization are to: - contribute to affirmation of literature as a platform for discussing society and developing critical thinking - motivate the audience to actively participate in organization's programs - encourage literary creativity of the youth - stregthen cultural exchange and collaboration in Croatia, the SEE region and Europe - involve in the initiative for change of public culture and youth policies

AIIR was established in 2002. It has no staff employed. Partners in different projects are mostly non-governmental organizations with similar goals, but also different public institutions like cultural centers or schools. AIIR is being supported by Zagreb City Council for Education, Culture and Sport and Ministry of Culture, EACEA, and also has been supported by Austrian Cultural Forum, Goethe Institute Kroatien, Spanish Embassy in Croatia, French Centre du livre, Soros-Croatia etc. Budgetary resources available annually has varied from 10000 Euros to 30000 Euros. Modalities of action vary from concrete projects, based on scholar and artistic research with broader visibility to educational and intercultural projects.

AIIR sees its mission in creating and maintaining intercultural and interdisciplinary platformas for research on and redefinition of diverse societal problems: from spatial organization, conviviality, intercultural, gender and piece issues to sustainable life on the planet, with special interest in Mediterranean region.
