Mission and Objectives

The mission:
Create an artistic, and a moderate professional cultural climate based on the acceptance of others to broaden the base of the creative activities in all fields in order to communicate inside and outside the country.
Developing the society culturally and artistically to boost the morality and public taste.
General Goals:
1. To create and develop professional organizations and individuals to support activities.
2. To organize workshops, holding seminars and training in many creative fields in professional, development, education and services.
3. To design and produce the creative works of art with dimensions that reflects the reality.
4. To organize events and festivals.
The Project background:
The idea came from the practical experience in the art and culture field and realizes the importance of establishing such institutions in the present time after the remarkable leap in the recent years, and the appearance of some of the spaces which serves the creative work.
Hatem Nazmy thought of “Karna” as a special independent space so that it can meet the terms and integrates the service and development to achieve some of the pressing needs which still represents a challenge to development in this field in Egypt such as the following:
• Managing the groups and ensembles, as there is the specialized management problem which still affecting the continuity of arts.
• Managing and organizing the events and festivals, contributing to the continuing of artistic and cultural communication locally and internationally.
• Advertising and marketing groups and individuals, that which is to provide the necessary capacity to continue presenting their art to the fullest.
• Support and training, through technical, administrative and consulting support to the groups and artists and training to achieve the artistic and cultural continuation.
The idea of “Karna” is not directed to a segment without the other but it seeks to support development through its policy of equality for all in all transactions and access to alternative perceptions of art and different ways to work because the founders are aware that through their experience in the field of art and culture, they need to work without any pressure related to production and public policy, They are trying through the institution to provide for workers in the art and culture field a good experience through workshops, training seminars, discussion groups and integration between each other, which helps to create a bridge between local artists and their peers abroad.

The RCE Cairo brings together institutions, e.g. universities, schools, research institutes, enter-prices, NGOs, and individuals at the local and regional level, to jointly promote Education for Sustainable Development. On this way the RCE Cairo is an extension of SEKEMs activities in the field of Sustainable Development. Four working groups (see "projects")act as the operational arms of the RCE Cairo. The RCE Cairo relies on funding - due to its acceptance a few weeks ago, we are still working on the final budget.

Mission: Shape a sustainable future by educating and mobilizing key actors towards sustainable development in the RCE Cairo scope area.

1-House "makers love and life For orphans "
The house receives children who have lost their parents, whether their fathers or mothers or both, and suffer the loss of some needs, and even all the requirements for the children of health care, social and educational, and try to reach these children to safety and compassion in order to grow all of them growing naturally secure in the community.
This project aims to deepen the message of love and peace between all community members to get to know the community well communication between people of one nation through the work of meetings and workshops for youth and days of cultural and art through which to raise issues and many important topics.

Scouting4Peace began in 2007 as an online community for youth and scouts to gather and share their opinions on peace and the environment. Scouting4Peace has connected over 4500 scouts and young people on its website, Scouting4Peace.org In December 2010, Scouting4Peace Foundation held its first international camp in Egypt, "Together for Peace". This week-long peace gathering included participants from 9 different countries worldwide, who joined together to send a message of peace to the world. Campers brought the mission of the Foundation to life with scouting activities, cultural and historical tours, and services.

Since its establishment in 2007, Scouting4Peace Foundation has united both scouts and non-scouts in the name of worldwide peace and understanding. Scouting4Peace Foundation produces events and youth programs, which instruct participants in subjects related to peace, responsibility, and the environment. Members also share their cultures and experiences with one another through international discussion on our website, Scouting4Peace.org. By fostering empathy, knowledge, tolerance and a global conscience within young people, we hope to give youth the qualities necessary to create a more peaceful and clean world.

Main Projects / Activities

Scouting4Peace Foundation plans to develop programs in various charitable fields. These fields include:

United Journalists Center For Freedom of Expression, Opinion, and Protecting Journalists .UJC is an independent human rights center work in protecting journalists and defending their rights to express freely their opinions and obtain the information they need. UJC mainly works in defending freedom of opinion and expression in press, audio and visual mass media. Since it has been established, a year ago, UJC had many contributions and activities in many fields

Main Projects / Activities

1. Monitoring activities:
• the journalist syndicate elections
• Monitoring the media performance (objectivity was the main criteria) in the elections and the sect cases (problems between citizens from different religious), for example we monitored the previous Shura council elections we also we monitor the coming parliament elections which will be held next month.
• Monitoring the performance of the journalist syndicate , the press supreme council and the radio and television union, the general center of investment and all the organization that has an relation with the journalist.
2. Training for the media workers:
• The ujcenter mainly concern with specialized trainings that the other centers who work in the field of human rights do not give a concern like:
i. Collective bargaining.
ii. Organizing campaigns to gain rights.
Both trainings were done by the cooperation with the international solitary center.
The center also designed and executed many trainings for many human rights center, to help them in developing their practical skills in dealing with the media and develop their employees who edit their website skills and make them more competent in dealing with their organization websites, like the employees of "Hakowk.com".
The center also help and transferring the center experience to many civil society organizations in establishing websites and dealing with new media, the center is helping the syndicate of lawyers in establishing their website and developing the worker of the website.
3. solidarity activities:
1. Providing legal support for different groups of journalist who are fired by illegal way from the organizations they work in.
2. Soldiery with many Egyptian, Arab and few international journalist by creating campaigns through the center website and also issuing pres releases and sending it to the center mailing list that include the emails of most of the journalist and workers in civil society organization in Egypt and Arab world.
4. In depended syndicate for the journalist and a lobby campaign to change the law of the journalist syndicate:
a. The center is working now on setting strategy to put pressure on the syndicate and parliament members to change the current syndicate law.
b. The center also is trying to establish an independent syndicate or journalist.

a. www.ujcenter.com is the first specialized website in the media workers issues in Egypt. The website publish all news, features and interviews that is related to the Egyptian, Arab and international media.
