There is also a video program, activity centers, an arabic course, and other actions such as humanitarian aid.
Mission and Objectives

Organization Summary: Established in 1991, Windows is a joint Palestinian-Israeli educational organization that seeks to strengthen values of human rights, equality, and democracy among Palestinian and Israeli youth.
As an organization, we function through a unique triangle framework with equal representation of Palestinians from the Occupied Territories, Palestinian citizens of Israel and Jewish Israelis. Our flagship project is the production and distribution of Windows Hebrew Arabic Youth Magazine , a bilingual magazine written for and by Palestinian and Israeli youth. Our activities are designed to empower young people to be agents of change in their communities, leading their societies towards a more democratic and equitable future. Our work in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) focuses on education and community outreach programs that foster critical thinking, democratic values, and leadership among Palestinian youth.
Through our programs, Windows participants gain skills in journalism, verbal expression, and activism enabling them to become positive forces of change and development in their communities. We place a particular emphasis on reaching disadvantaged sectors of Palestinian society and we have extensive experience working in refugee camps and high-conflict areas. Through working with these populations, we provide disadvantaged youth with practical skills in journalism and expression, as well as a strengthened commitment to democratic values that enables them to be leaders in the development of Palestinian society.

Main Projects / Activities

At Windows we believe in the power of long-term programs, in the ability of youth to become change agents in the region, and in media as a tool to overcome stereotypes and fear. We invest in small groups of young people who use media to disseminate alternative information and thus serve as catalysts for social change through increasing access to knowledge in their communities and in society at large. During our Youth Media program, a multi-year, four-stage program, Windows participants go through a long-term process of growth and empowerment that focuses on media and critical thinking skills as methods to affect change in the region.
The Hebrew-Arabic Youth Magazine is the primary output of our Youth Media Program , and reflects the courageous and complex journey of our Youth Media Program participants. We complement these groups with large-scale activities including: in-school workshops for Palestinian and Israeli youth, as well as community outreach initiatives such as lectures, film screenings, and exhibitions.

General Information
Mifalot is the largest and most diverse sport for development and peace organization in the Middle East. To date, over 20,000 children and youth in Israel, Palestine and Jordan participate in Mifalot's programs each year. Founded in 1997 by the owners of Hapoel Tel Aviv Football Club and the Kahanoff Foundation, Mifalot's vision is: • To capture the power of football in order to build more active, compassionate, just and cohesive communities, and • To support the sustainable development of a more engaged society, and • To promote peaceful coexistence in our immediate region and beyond. Our primary business is serving the educational and social needs of children and youth in our region, who graduate our programs with the life skills and tools to learn, grow, excel and develop their community and world. Mifalot has over 300 projects that use football to accomplish the following program objectives: Promoting peace and coexistence by creating bonds of friendship between Israelis, Palestinians and Jordanians; • Providing much needed assistance to children living in at-risk, disadvantaged or isolated environments in our region and internationally; • Teaching life skills to children with special needs; • Promoting the integration and inclusion of newly arrived immigrants into Israeli society; • Encouraging the social integration of Arab-Israelis by empowering the individual and the Arab-Israeli community; • Shaping socially responsible and value enriched leaders for tomorrow. Mifalot leverages the platform provided by the Hapoel Tel Aviv Football Club to engage political institutions, the corporate sector, the general public and the international community to ensure that due attention is paid to the most pressing social issues in the region and internationally. The Hapoel Tel Aviv Football Club has shifted the public’s perception about the role of a professional club in helping children and communities. Rather than carrying the image of a marketing ploy or public relations campaign, Mifalot is viewed by its funders, supporters, and partners as an earnest and effective use of sport to promote social development and peace. Mifalot’s local success over the past 13 years is driving our new international initiative. To date, we have assisted communities in implementing and adapting our project models to their local needs in Jordan, Palestine, Rwanda, Haiti and Cameroon.
Mission and Objectives
