The Folklore - Archeological Elassona Association, which was founded in 1977, in the town of Elassona, is a cultural society, non-profit with a multi-faceted, remarkable activity in Greece and abroad. It currently has 250 members. Commanded by 7 administrative members (elected every two years), which meets regularly to decide on all affairs. Sections The areas of the club would break out in the following sections: 1. Studies and Publishing 2. Buildings and Folklore material 3. Traditional dances - traditional costumes 4. Music 5. Mission and Objectives

Proceedings published unreleased tracks in the region of Mount Olympus.
Organizers festival dances in Elassona.
Competitions lectures on folklore, scientific, social, cultural interest and awareness events to social problems and issues of our time.
Organisation of Painting and Photography.
Establishment and organization and anniversary celebrations in Elassona.
Study visits to selected sites and tourist sites, for members of the association.
Continuous collaboration with municipalities - communities, cultural organizations and other agencies and municipal enterprises culture a Thessaly area.

Main Projects / Activities

-Participation in the European programme «Youth for Europe» with participation in informal meetings and exchanges of young people - members of the group, aged 15 to 30 years, in European countries.
Shares in major European educational programmes.
-The dancing group, which started its operations in 1978 and is regarded as one of the best-known of Thessaly, with international recognition. It presents traditional dances from all parts of the Greek region and indeed to the region, Elassona and Olympus. Hundreds performances have made the group known in Greece and abroad, and has been recognized by flattering reviews of the specialists and many awards, representing and delivering the Greek “colours”. Indicatively, has visited countries Spain (8 times), Belarus (2 times), Bulgaria (2 times), Portugal (2 times), Italy (3 times), Germany (3 times), Denmark, Sweden, Russia, France, Austria, Yugoslavia, Belgium (2), Turkey, etc.

General Information
Our work relates to advocacy/legal and social support/ material support to vulnerable groups (minorities, homeless, unemployed etc.). We also work on awareness raising on human rights issues. We cooperate with Greek (e.g Amnesty International, Greek Helsinki Monitor, MDM, Greek Council for Refugees etc.) and European NGOs (ECRE, PICUM, Danish Refugee Council, Dutch Refugee Council etc.)
Mission and Objectives

Our mission is to defend human rights and to help groups of people who are more vulnerable to violations of their rights. Our objectives are to improve the general human rights situation in Greece and to offer free assistance to vulnerable people.

SOLIDARITY: Material help to Greek people in need and to asylum seekers/refugees
AWARENESS RAISING ON RACISM: Project delivered at secondary education schools.
SUPPORT: Advocacy/Free legal and social aid to asylum seekers and refugees
EUROPEAN NETWORK FOR THE APPLICATION OF DUBLIN REGULATION: Participation to the network which follows legal developments on Dublin Regulation and assist asylum seekers in the Dublin procedure.

We can contribute our experience in human rights issues (on advocacy for human rights, refugee issues,combat of racism (antiracist education to schools), solidarity activities for Greek people and refugees

General Information
ELIAMEP is governed by a 13-member Board of Directors and an 11-member Honorary Council. It is staffed by a small number of permanent senior officers and a large number of research associates and interns, usually affiliated with it on a project basis. ELIAMEP is funded by the public and the private sector in Greece and abroad, European Institutions and International Organizations. Its activities include mainly policy oriented research, the organization of international conferences and training seminars and the publication of policy papers, reports on topical issues and edited volumes. ELIAMEP has an extensive institutional networking and international presence and it plays an active and constructive role in a number of international networks
Mission and Objectives

ELIAMEP is an independent, policy-oriented, non-profit research institute. It serves as a forum for the study and understanding of issues relating to foreign and security policy, European affairs and international relations. It functions as a forum of debate on international issues, as an information center, as well as a point of contact for experts and policymakers. ELIAMEP conducts a number of research programs that combine specific needs and interests of policymakers with the Foundation's own agenda. Important subjects for research at ELIAMEP include European integration; the evolution of European and regional organizations; transatlantic relations; political, economic and military developments in Southeastern Europe, the Black Sea area, the Caucasus, the wider Mediterranean and Middle East region, as well as Greek-Turkish relations and Cyprus.

Main Projects / Activities

In recent years, ELIAMEP has coordinated or participated in a number of European research consortia (funded principally within FP5 and FP6).
ELIAMEP also organizes several major international conferences and workshops every year addressing issues of direct concern to ELIAMEP’s audience. The other aspects of its activities relate to training. The Halki International Seminars (HIS), represent the core of ELIAMEP’s training activities for young leaders, held since 1990.
Publications comprise a substantial part of the Foundation's work as more than 160 books, seminar and conference proceedings, working papers and monographs (in Greek and English) have been published since 1988.

The “United Societies of Balkans” is a Non Governamental Non Profit Organisation, founded in Thessaloniki in 2008 by a team of active young people, socially sensitized, and with rich experience around voluntary programs. The vision was the promotion of youth mobility, youth involvement in volunteering and their further sensitizing around social issues.

Max Goldin was an outstanding Latvian Jewish composer and musicologist, professor of Latvian Academy of Music. The Executive institution ot Max Goldin Society "Jewish Culture Heritage" is the Board consists of 4 members headed by the Chairman of the Board. Budgetary resources available - 10000 Ls a year. Sources of funding:grant programmes - the Municipality of Riga,the Council of Jewish Communities of Latvia, funds, private donations. Modalities of action - concrete projects, concerts, festivals, exhibitions,archive and scientific researches in the field of Latvian Jewish culture. Main partners involved in the organization's projects - Council of Jewish Communities of Latvia,the Embassy of the State of Israel in Latvia and Lithuania, Ita Kozakevich Latvian Associatian of National Cultural Societies, the Municipality of Riga, Latvian Academy of Music etc.

Mission and Objectives

The mission ot Max Goldin Society is - to maintain and develop the Latvian Jewish Culture and traditions, to develop the ethnic dialogue in the field of culture based on the values and ideals of the European Union. Objectives: - the organization of concerts, festivals, exhibitions and other culture activities; - to support scientific research activities, development of the educational programs, CD recordings, archive researches in Latvia and abroad - in the field of Jewish and Israel culture, promotion of Jewish and Israel culture; - to preserve and to explore the creative heritage of Max Goldin and other outstanding representatives of Latvian Jewish culture; - to acquaint the Latvian audience with music written by Latvian Jewish and Israel composers, classical and popular music, Jewish folk music, liturgical and klezmer music; - cooperation with the institutions, dealing with the problems of Jewish culture - in Israel, other countries; - organization and conducting of training, seminars, conferences, workshops, master-classes, the production of multimedia products.

Main Projects / Activities

Main projects of Max Goldin Society in 2012: 1. The concert-dedication "To the righteous among the nations". Concert was held on February 1 in Maza Gilde Hall. Partners in this project - Embassy of the State of Israel in Latvia and Lithuania, Municipality of Riga, Ita Kozakevich Association of Latvian National Cultural Organizations, Latvian Academy of Music. The project was supported by Latvian Republic Saeima Social Cohesion Committee, Latvian Archbishop Z.Stankevich. The concert was attended by prominent Riga musicians - male ensemble of "Balsis" choir (conductor - Ints Teterovskis), singer and cantor Vlad Shulman, pianist professor Raffi Kharajanian, violinist Yury Savkin, saxophonist Eduards Raubishko etc. 2. Music festival "Remembering the hand of conductor" dedicated to the memory of professor Ludmila Pismennaya (Latvian Academy of Music). Partners in this project - Municipality of Riga, Latvian Academy of Music, the Council of Jewish Communities of Latvia. Two concerts of the Festival were held in November-December in Latvian Academy of Music Concert Hall and in the Concert Hall of Riga Jewish Community House - with the participation of prominent Riga musicians - mixed choir of Latvian Academy of Music, conductor - Maris Sirmais,pianist professor Raffi Kharajanian, singer and cantor Vlad Shulman, violinist Yury Savkin, ballet soloists of Latvian National Opera Pauline Druka un Sergej Sosnovsky. Concerts was visited by about 600 spectators. 3. Performance in "Jaunais Rigas teatrs" - "Secrets of the Kabbalah" by I.Bashevis-Zinger - consultation on Jewish tradition and music.

We plan to begin the work of Max Goldin Society website in the next month. At the moment we are cooperating with the websites of Ita Kozakevich Association of Latvian National Cultural Organization and the Council of Jewish Communities of Latvia.

Cooperation with the Anna Lindh Foundation corresponds to the goals of Max Goldin Society. We want to participate in the events organized by the Foundation, promote the values of Jewish and Israel culture, cooperate with organizations involved in the culture of the Mediterranean countries.

The mission of the youth organisation TREPES (transl. ladder) is to help young people to reach the next step in their personal development by giving practical tools and raising their awareness of social issues. It is very important for us to be a part of a volunteering community that helps to foster social inclusion and that encourages young people to be socially active and responsible. We are running Creative Clubs in areas such as healthcare, active lifestyle, environment protection, cultural understanding, civic education, volunteering, intergenerational cooperation, charity, youth politics and entrepreneurship.

Homo ecos: is established in 2007. At the moment there are 5 people working in the office, organisation has a network of 60 local volunteers and supporters. Main Projects / Activities

Organisation works to inform and educate people on environmental issues, as well as to involve them and encourage to change their everyday habits to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Our main activities and projects include social campaigns (“Latvia – the greenest country in the world” and “10/10/10 – Global Work Party”), youth non-formal education activities, educational activities (movie nights, discussions) and cooperate with partners to develop and promote sustainability guidelines for their offices and events. The Synergy of Music Theatre [S.Mou.Th.] is a non profit association, created in 2001, by young professional artists in the areas of Theatre, Music, Dance and Media. In its initial stage it was an initiative supported by the Municipality of Larissa and later established its independent legal entity in 2004. "S.Mou.Th" functions mostly through volunteers and external partners that are employed on a need basis. The organization funds its projects through donations and grants. The organization collaborates with various private and public NGO's in order to realize projects and activities.
Mission and Objectives

The primary objectives of S.Mou.Th. are to provide youth and adults opportunities of initiation, training, education, creation, research and professional issues, in the arts that combine the Music Theatre, and by this process, to reinvent the means of artistic expression.

S.Mou.Th. has realized workshops and several large scale productions ("Romeo and Juliet", "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Rubbish's Rubsody", "Amongst Genders", "Carmen" and the "Magic Flute".
