THOC is a State funded non-profit organization numbering approximately 130 staff members (both permanent and on contract), governed by a 9-member Board of Directors appointed by the President of the Republic. The Organization’s policy is set out by the Board. 
 

Mission and Objectives

THOC is a semi government organization aiming to promote theatre in Cyprus and to promote artistic relations between the theatre world of Cyprus and that of Greece and other countries.

Main Projects / Activities

Based in the last divided capital of Europe, Nicosia, THOC’s activities cover among other things:
• The production of classical and modern plays, from both the International and
the Cypriot/Greek repertoire in five stages (Main, New, 0-18, Theatro Apothikes and 'Away from Home')
• Touring in Cyprus and abroad
• PLAY - programme for development of new plays
• Promotion of theatre for youth and amateur theatre - organising the Pancyprian Theatre School games and the Pancyprian Festival of Non-professional theatre

General Information

1. The Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies is a non-profit organisation affiliated to Intercollege, the largest private higher education institution in Cyprus. The Institute consists of a five member board and associates that work with MIGS on project basis. 2. MIGS’ annual budgetary resources depend on the number of projects being carried out. 3. Our main source of funding is local and European funding sources. 4. MIGS main activities include research, training, awareness- raising, and dissemination of information. 5. Our main partners include NGOs and research institutions working on gender equality in the Mediterranean and in Europe The Institute’s major aims are to act as a main contributor to the intellectual, political, and socio-political life of the region as this relates to issues of gender and to do so using a multidisciplinary approach and in collaboration with other institutions.

Mission and Objectives

The Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies [M.I.G.S.] (Reg. no. 234) is a non-profit organisation which promotes and contributes to projects of social, political, and economic themes relating to gender. In the case of Cyprus, where the institute is based, a gendered perspective and feminist activism comes at a very crucial time to link, prepare, and promote the socio-economic and political ideals necessary for a smoother adjustment to the European Union membership

The General Union of Youth Entities (GUYE) is a consortium of 24 youth organizations and initiatives was founded in Gaza in 2010 as an initiative of youth organizations in Gaza that aims to develop the youth capabilities and to protect their rights and to advocate on behalf of youth communities in Gaza; The GUYE works towards youth empowerment in social, political, and cultural aspects to be able to contribute to the country future development based on social justice. The GUYE budget this year is 450,000 $, where it's expected to be increased numerously. The GUYE so far has conducted a youth initiative of agricultural land reclamation through creating job opportunities for youth in the Gaza South Region.

The GUYE mission is to develop and strengthen youth's capabilities in Palestine.
The GUYE objectives are:

Al Quds Club – is a Palestinian Association / Establishment – non-governmental, non-profitable, independent from any party, rendering services, voluntary activities, – aiming at enhancing the youth developing potential of the Palestinian Youth in the region of Jerusalem. Developing the Palestinian Youth in the Jerusalem area, and upgrading their cultural, sportive, social and vocational capacity, and emphasizing the importance of their role in establishing the community civil institutes, and encouraging them to practice this role through research and comprehension, and respecting the cultural and intellectual multiplicity. 2 - Enhancing and clarifying the importance of the role of women in Jerusalem –and encouraging her to attain her role – side by side – with the man in Jerusalem , and achieving the principal of equality of opportunities for her – in cooperation with the Women’s Institutes. 3 - Initiating the Innovation and Contribution spirit in the targeted youth sector in Al Quds club in all the fields leading to its development, adopting the scientific methodology – technique, approach and practice. 4 - To refrain and avoid discrimination in all forms – being racial, religious or social – and prevailing the concepts of Human Rights between youth, and comply to the International Decrees for Human Rights. 5 - Developing relationships with the maximum number of Youth Organizations, Associations and Centers – locally, in the Arab Countries and worldwide that share the same objectives, to get acquainted with the cultures, habits, traditions and problems of youth in our national districts and in the friendly countries – through the youth exchange programs – aiming at upgrading and developing the Youth Sector Jerusalem.

We are a non-profit developmental organization registered with the Ministry of Interior (BL – 494 – C) since 2005. Our focus has been to support children, youth, women and families in the Greater Bethlehmen District and to help youth overcome the many challenges of living in the unique circumstances of the West Bank, in particular helping those youth who are residents of the refugee camps. We work in collaboration with local and international partners to achieve our goals and have established relationships with diverse community groups.

We aim to increase youth participation in community development as it affects social, cultural, economical and political realms of Palestinian life.

Main Projects / Activities

• The Future Vision Society is proactive in its research into the betterment of youth life chances. The organization has, for example, conducted detailed studies into the psychological damage to children of prisoners and parents wounded in conflict. This was followed up with practical outcomes such as the provision of psychological courses and a rehabilitation program provided in collaboration with the YMCA.
• The organization has also provided regular community-based training in areas of conflict resolution, family health and welfare, and education on democratic processes.
• Teenager and gender specific training and awareness programs have addressed issues such as drug use, reproductive health, and utilized drama and theater as a means of self development.

General Information

we was founded on 2008 by a group of Jerusalemite educational and pedagogical youth. They believe for the importance of preserving the Palestinian heritage and civilization and the role for combating the political and social challenges. Special consideration was devoted to the issue of Jerusalem with reference to the imposed siege and closure. Jerusalem Forum For Culture and Art is a Palestinian Arab heritage and cultural institution, the organization is part of nonprofit Palestinian NGOs. The philosophy and the vision of the forum is preserving the cultural and heritage value of the Palestinian civilization. The objective of the forum is to plan for adaptable mechanisms that promote and develop the Palestinian perception and responses to the issue of heritage and cultural values. This mission of the forum will be achieved through the various services that provided by the forum to the Palestinian society in general and Jerusalemites in particular.

Mission and Objectives

1) Activating the heritage and cultural programs among youth and children groups. This in turn will contribute significantly for transferring the Palestinian heritage and cultural vision among generation. 2) Establish a forum for youth that whom are willing to develop their cultural competences in general and heritage culture in particular 3) To contribute in the educational process for children and to strengthen their national affiliations and social solidarity. 4) The fight against discrimination in all its forms (discrimination based on gender, ethnicity or social affiliation) and to disseminate the culture of participation and equality of rights and duties among people in general and youth in particular. 5) Building of professional networks with social, youth, educational, cultural local and international institutions to enrich the experience and to contribute in developing youth. 6) The establishment of a production line of heritage art crafts to enhance young people participation, and support their creativity

1. Artistic, cultural, performances and shows by two main branches Siwar troop for popular art, the first is the youth troop and the second is vanguard troop. 2. Various musical performances presented by Siwar oriental music band 3. School of popular art, this included the following: A. Handcraft and traditional craft school B. Heritage school of music C. Folkloric dance-dabkah- school 4. Tawasul-outreaching program: the program focus on communicating with the world in general and with the Palestinian cities in particular, and this mission fulfills through various means as follow; Tours in the Palestinian cities Youth cultural exchange with local, regional and international heritage and cultural partners. Conducting various artistic and cultural performances in many Palestinian, Arabic and International cities. General Information
Beit Sahour is a town of approximately 15,000 residents and is located one kilometer east of Bethlehem and 10 kilometers south of Jerusalem. Known as the "City of the Shepherds' Fields", the origins of the name Beit Sahour (the house of vigilance) stems from the Canaanite words "Beit" meaning place, and "Sahour" meaning night watch, which reflected the importance of the area for shepherds. Additionally, the area is famous as the biblical site where the angels appeared to the shepherds and announced the "good news" of Jesus' birth. Hence, the long standing and historical tradition of the City of the Shepherds' Fields. Beit Sahour also prides itself on being one of the last Palestinian town with a Christian majority and the town with the highest number of post-secondary educated individuals in Palestine, even perhaps in the whole Middle East.
Mission and Objectives

The Beit Sahour Municipality is the administrative body responsible for the provision of basic services to and the welfare of the residents of Beit Sahour.
Our mission is to strengthen and solidify the role of the municipality in the community and to gain the trust and respect of its residents.
Our vision is to be the leading local government unit that provides high quality and dependable services that support and enhance the economic infrastructure of Beit Sahour with particular emphasis on tourism and environment.

Main Projects / Activities

The three year strategic investment plan of Beit Sahour Municipality was focused into four domains:
1. Infrastructure development and maintenance.
2. Directing and encouraging economic growth particularly in the tourism sector.
