General Information
YDD was established in 2000 as part of the Orient House and Arab Studies Society in an initiative to support youth and their institutions in Jerusalem. YDD works as an umbrella organization providing support to approximately 75 established youth groups throughout the Jerusalem Governorate. Since 2000, YDD has provided youth organizations in Jerusalem with capacity building training and a wide variety of projects for youth such as a drug rehabilitation program, a vocational training program, and a successful Career Resource Centre pilot project. 1- developing youth institutions and building their staff capacities 2- building database on youth sector in Jerusalem governorate 3- Promoting and extending local, regional and international partnership network 4- Improving management level in the department 5- Implementing youth programs

Mission: Working to provide administrative support for youth institutions in Jerusalem governorate, building partnership and youth exchange locally, regionally and internationally, and developing programs for youth based on studies and researches relevant to their needs and phenomenon related to them in the highest quality possible to contribute in developing youth sector.

General Information
RJ follows 30 children:handicapped and 10 with special needs during the year in rehabilitation centre and kindergarten, 70 in summer camps. The goal is rehabilitation and outreach of education. The activities are extended also to the local community. The staff is of 6 employees and many local and international volunteers. The budget is of around $ 30 000 per year, the kindergarten and rehabilitation centre are funded by private donors and by fees. We work with experts: social assistants, physiotherapists and young volunteers from Al Quds university, especially in summer camps and from abroad. Main partners are foreign associations, local as Palestinian Red Crescent, Israeli associations such as All Nations Caffe and Service and Peace in the Community.
Mission and Objectives

Rose of Jerusalem is a non governmental, non political, non profitable association depending mostly on volunteer work. It looks after handicapped and children with special needs aiming to integrate them into local community after treatment and rehabilitation.

Main Projects / Activities

- Rehabilitation centre for Azariah and nearby villages of Abu Dis, Al Sawarh, Sheikh Saed and Jahalin
- Kindergarten for main stream children and special needs.
- Summer Camps for 70 children, including disabled children.

Ma'an Network is a non-profit media organization dedicated to strengthening independent Palestinian media in order to enhance the development of democracy and human rights in Palestine. Our nine-member Ma'an Board of Directors, elected by the Ma'an General Assembly, guide our training, production, broadcast and research activities. We have over 100 permanent employees and approximately 160 staff members based at our partner stations. Our partner TV stations are: Al-Amal TV (Hebron), Amwaj TV (Ramallah), Al-Quds Educational TV (Ramallah), Bethlehem TV, Farah TV (Jenin), Nablus TV, Qalqilia TV, Al-Salam TV (Tulkarem) Our partner radio stations are: Amwaj Radio (Ramallah), Al-Balad Radio (Jenin), Kul Al-Nas Radio (Tulkarem), Marah Radio (Hebron), Radio Mawwal (Bethlehem), Nablus FM, Al-Qamar Radio (Jericho), Nagham Radio (Qalqilia). Our 2009 annual operating budget was $3 million. Our major funders include the UK Department for International Development, the European Commission and Search for Common Ground.
Mission and Objectives

Ma'an Network’s mission is to empower Palestinians by providing independent news and information, facilitating public discussions and interaction between Palestinian citizens and decision-makers, and bringing Palestinian voices to global audiences. As an independent Palestinian media organization, Ma'an seeks to lead the way in developing Palestinian media into a force for positive social change, accountability, and democracy in Palestine. Through enhanced cooperation between local, regional and international media, we aim to strengthen Palestinian media outlets and educate the international community about Palestine. Ma'an also works to create opportunities for public debate on critical issues, and to empower citizens to participate actively in these discussions via television and radio talk shows where they can question governmental and community leaders. Ma'an aims to help Palestinian media achieve global standards of excellence and greater international credibility while better meeting local people’s needs for reliable information and news.

Main Projects / Activities

Media productions: our TV and radio programs include feature stories, documentaries, talk shows, quiz shows and drama films and serials. Ma'an productions are broadcast on local Palestinian partner stations and regional satellite channels.
Ma'an News Agency (MNA): around the clock local, regional and international news published online and with additional SMS and IVR services. MNA is published in Arabic, English and Hebrew. MNA is among the most regularly browsed websites in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Trainings and workshops: we regularly hosted training courses focused on capacity building in the Palestinian media. Our courses have covered everything from Hebrew for Palestinian journalists to television drama production and most are open to Palestinian journalists or technicians from other media organizations.
Research unit: surveys public attitudes towards media and Palestinian governance, which is used to evaluate and refine our programming to better respond to the needs of the Palestinian public.

Mission and Objectives

works to enlighten the Palestinian citizen. It also works to develop talents, capabilities and consciousness through civil, human rights, democratic behavior and peace edification. This instruction is to be done through unitary activities and programs that are supervised by a group of experts whose goal is to make the Palestinian citizens capable of defining their independent character. Its purpose is to develop performance and achievements and the ability to escape the circle of violence and its negative effects.
Children and women are the primary attention at the YCC because they are the most capable in changing their community democratically and peacefully. Its purpose is to expand the Palestinian child culturally, socially, and intellectually and to inform them of their rights. The center plans as well to enlighten the community's view of women in order to support them effectively in developing their individuality and importance to society. It also intends to maintain awareness of the reality of refugees and their rights. It aspires to set the foundations for civil community and democratic concepts on the basis of respecting freedom of speech.

General Information
Structure: member-based NGO with general assembly, board and staff. Staff includes two project coordinators, one program development officer, one part-time accountant, one admin, plus two field coordinators. Budgetary resources vary depending on projects. Sources of funding: donors such as Ruwwad/USAID, UNDP, Friedrich Foundation, U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem, among others. Most of our projects consist of workshops, training, mentoring for young entrepreneurs, students, and young people wanting to start up their own business. We also organize the only national conference on entrepreneurship in Palestine, and work to promote entrepreneurship on a policy level. Our main partners are the same as our donors.

Main Projects / Activities

All YEP's activities aim to promote youth entrepreneurship. Current projects include a business incubation project for young university graduates starting up their own businesses; an internship program for youth; a microbusiness project for poor families; and a workshop and training series on entrepreneurship. Past projects included a women entrepreneurship project.
