The Chavaya Association is a non profit organization established to strengthen and improve the community of Kfar Vradim and the multi cultural surrounding region. It is supported by the local council of Kfar Vradim and private donations. It is actively involved in the Euro Med program, Con Act (of Germany). Being a host, sender and coordinating organization. It has many partners from both Europe and the Meda countries
Mission and Objectives

To strengthen local communities through increased active volunteerism and a great knowledge of the world we live in.
The breaking down of stereotypes, racialism and the inclusion of the mentally challenged and disabled.
The inclusion of minority groups and equality of cultures, genders….

General Information

"Die VILLA" - a sociocultural youth center - is located not far from the city center. It has its home in an old renovated house in Leipzig´s artists quarter. "Die Villa" was founded by 12 independent associations. Since 1999 youth work has been established. In 2005 three NGOs have fused to one insitution called LeISA GmbH. "Die VILLA" aims to support and promote cultural and leisure activities for young people and kids. There are several fields of activity: Management & Finance (2 employee), House service of "Die VILLA", children and youth work (2 employee), media projects (2 employee), school projects, youth events (1 employee), youth voluntary service (1/2 employee), intercultural projects, youth cafe (1/2 employee). Our sources of funding are the city of Leipzig, Country, EU, Foundations etc. and own recources.

Mission and Objectives

The target groups of "Die VILLA" are from baby to senoir, but mainly children and youth. Every field of activity as its own objectives. E.g. the Medienwerkstatt Leipzig develop youth competence in media relations (video, photography, computer and internet). We are offering projects with schools and other NGOs, regular workshops, semi-professional courses for youth and holiday courses for children. Moreover it is possible to rent rooms and equipment for own projects. So all in all there are over 100 offers and events a week; approx. 80 000 guests a year; approx. cooperations with 30 independent organisations.

Main Projects / Activities

"Die VILLA" offers a wide range of opportunities to discover and develop their own creativity, for example media workshops, dancing and cookery courses. Moreover, "Die VILLA" organizes regular cultural events such as book presentations and conferences on current topics. "Die VILLA" does of course host a wide range of other cultural and leisure events. The main projects of the LeISA GmbH are called Kinder- und Jugendbereich, Veranstaltungskeller, Medienwerkstatt Leipzig, Europäischer Freiwilligendienst.

Mission and Objectives

Coalition for promotion and protection of human rights is an association of non-profit, non-governmental organizations that act in realizing and advancement of human rights, democracy and the rule of law in the Republic of Croatia. The Coalition overlooks and monitors the consistency in implementing laws and their harmonization with international standards; educates and raises awareness on the importance of respect for human rights, and; advocates the enhancement of the status of the civil society organizations that deal with human rights and democratization.
Mission of Coalition is to monitor and consistently supervise the application of legislation and theirs coherence with international accepted standards, educates and making public more sensible on importance of respecting human rights as well as advocating an improvement of status of civil rights organizations which are involved in human rights and democratization of societies.

Main Projects / Activities

Projects: Multiculturalism as a part of modern European society; Promotion and protection of human rights Program; Promoting European values against racism and xenophobia at local and regional level; Minority rights in practice in southeast Europe – National action plan for Croatia for period 2007-2008; etc.
Values and principles of activity are: Fundamental rights and freedoms, Equality before the law for all citizens, Rule of law Gender / sex equality (equal possibilities for men and woman in public, political and economical life), Active citizenship (or participative democracy), Multiculturalism and nondiscrimination on ethnic, cultural, lingual and religious foundations. Few current and past activities: initiating the campaign to adopt the Law on Free Legal Service; one of the initiators of the campaign “The Public Right to Know” – Adopting the Law on the Right of Access to Information; campaign for the restitution of tenancy rights; members of the Coalition have and still are providing legal advices…

The Institute for International Relations (IMO) has four departments (Department for International Economic and Political Relations, Department for European Integration, Department for Culture and Communication, Department for Resource Economics, Environmental Protection and Regional Development), and hosts two documentation centres (EUi Documentation Centre; Information and Documentation Centre). Mission and Objectives

The Institute for International Relations (IMO) aims to increase public awareness of the most important policy issues in the fields of international relations and communication, as well as of the Croatian international position, by disseminating knowledge through scientific research; publishing professional journals and books; organizing international conferences, educational seminars and training courses; improving information exchange through research and advancement of techniques and issues in information technology; and providing strategic decision support and decision analysis services to decision makers, non-governmental and international organizations, as well as to the regional and international industry.

Main Projects / Activities

IMO's activities emphasize high quality interdisciplinary research and scientific analysis of crucial social and policy issues of international scope and global importance. The association endeavours to support personal and social development through professional psycho-social work on the basis of philanthropy and altruism.

Main Projects / Activities

Wisdom of Split - Elderly Community Support Services is intended to meet the needs of the elderly citizens of Split through the counselling centre, clubs, educational activities, volunteer work of elderly citizens and home visits to isolated elderly individuals, raising public awareness on elderly issues. Volunteer Center Split promotes and develops volunteer work at a local, regional and national level; educates NGOs and volunteers, connects, supports and follows their activities; Regional NGO Support Center- provides up-to-date information, instructions, workshops, and consultations, connecting NGOs to other relevant associations and to other sectors. Ethnic reconciliation project: Building Sustainable Community in the Aftermath of War has been designed and implemented by Association MI since beginning of 1997 as a countrywide project covering all areas affected by the war in Croatia.

Three letters followed by three dots, acronym of Teatro In Rivolta, the name of our association. A name that seemed us strong and convincing when, in 2002, we decided to liven up a new reality.
