General Information
It is a Foundation and have a Board Committee consist of five members. It has two employees. It has €100.927 capital. Apart from its own capital of interest, there are individual donors. We have as many as 10 project implemented between 2004-2010 We have had EU grant for our three project called 'Healthy Future for Young People' and 'New Beginings New Oppotunities' and 'Emek' 2006-2007. We are implementing concrete projects and conducting research studies.We also give out scholarships.
Mission and Objectives

Başak Culture and Art Foundation aims to carry out various activities to discover, support and promote artistic abilities of poor and/or low-paid young people and to eliminate difficulties they face in building their personal capacity. It is also aimed at orienting young people to be more productive and taking part in the social life as an individual and making scientific researches in the field of culture and art.

Main Projects / Activities

Meeting of Different Cultures on the Streets” Project aims to bring young people from different cultures, to make them join each other with productivity of art, to have a powerful togetherness through knowing different cultures and to improve consciousness of art. Especially reaching children and young people, who have no possibility to meet or to reach art activities or have limited resources and are disadvantaged, is the basic point of our projects.
Activities:
* Cultural and Artistic Courses.
It is aimed to support the spiritual development, to conduct the active energy by the artistic works, to develop the self confidence, to obtain the habit to work as group, to have hand ability, to increase the attention and sensibility, to connect relation between the event and facts, to enlarge the creativity and the imagination world, to obtain positive point of view, to reveal/development of the artistic capacity. Within this extent we organize Theatre, Painting, Ceramic, Modern Dance, Pandomim, folklore, Origamy, Music, Musical instruments, Guitar, Solfege. It has been benefited so many children and young for these courses. Six of them are attending private music school; two of them are attending to Istanbul University Conservatoire with our scholarships.
* Educational Courses
In educational courses, some of our young who are open high school student that are continuing to their education by supporting of volunteer university student at Basak.
* Vocational Courses
In Turkey, the children and the young people who have experienced the difficult effects of forced migration and suffering from the lack of social life can not find a good work. As many social excluded groups facing difficulties on a day – to day basis they seek for support. Vocational training facilitates the access of these people to the education system and the labour market. These are efforts that contribute to an increase of empowerment, self esteem and capacities of individuals and groups that have a sustainable impact on improving their own lives.

BIS, Body-Process Arts Association is a non-profit organization run by volunteers and the stuff are hired on project based. 2007 resources: 23 765,59 TL 2008 resources: 125.209,99 TL Sources of funding of BPA projects are: Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture Agency, EU Fund in the frame of Immediate Project, Akbank Sanat, Istanbul City Municipality, CATI-Contemporary Dance Artists Association, Bimeras Cultural Foundation, Bilgisayar Hospital, Teknosa…etc. - Main activities of BPA are Amber, Art and Technology Platform that includes amberFestival, amberNetwork and BPA Center. AmberFestival hosts workshops, seminars, performances and installations in the field of art and technology. AmberNetwork host its members and future members by organizing meeting to discuss strategic plans to develop cooperation, mobility and cultural exchange in the region. Mission and Objectives

BPA is an Istanbul based initiative that aims to explore artistic forms of expression at the conjunction of the body and the digital process.
It was founded in 2007 as an association by a team of researchers and artists from disciplines such as dance, performance, design, social sciences and engineering.
The founders of BIS came together in order to create a local discussion and production platform on art and technology in a globalized World itself transformed by new technologies.
BPA's objective is to establish a permanent center that will focus on the research, production and education in the field of body-process arts in Istanbul.
Simultaneously, BPA seeks to create an international network of artists, researchers and technicians with whom it would continue to work and cooperate in a spirit of cooperation and exchange.

Main Projects / Activities

The main projects of BPA is amber, art and technology platform. BPA co-organize and acts as partner on local and international projects like: Immediate-Immersive Media Dance Integrating in Telematic Environments.
amber, art and technology platform includes three main activity; AmberFestival, AmberNetwork and BPA Center
AmberFestival is an annual festival which promotes art and technology field in Turkey by organizing seminars, stage performances, exhibitions and workshops. It is run each year in the second week of November.
amber Network is established on 2008 with the first meeting realised in November 2008 during amber, art and technology festival with the members from the following countries: Greece, Turkey, Krygysyztan, Lebanon, Palestine, Iran, Armenia, France, Belgium and Germany. The network aims to gather the organizators and independent artist working in the field. Until the third Network meeting in 2010, The ambernetwork aims to enlarge its capacity and launch officially.
BPA also gives support to the educational activities in the region and operates artistic collaborations with the partner institutions internationally and nationally.

Mission and Objectives

In the awareness of our social responsibilities, the mission of the Borusan Center for Culture and Arts is to contribute to ensuring that music, particularly polyphonic music, is appreciated by wider audiences in Turkey. Our mission also encompasses raising cultural awareness, supporting young Turkish artists. Our vision is to see Borusan Center for Culture and Arts one step ahead of other cultural centers and to witness the emergence of Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras as ones the best orchestras of Europe.

a non for profit organization established by two founding partners Esra A. Aysun and Ece Pazarbasi. Mission and Objectives

CUMA is a non-profit contemporary art organization, aiming to activate urban and rural communities by creating contemporary art projects and acting as a mentor for art organizations and initiatives. CUMA is based in Istanbul, Turkey.
CUMA’s aim is to break monotonous cycles of urban and rural daily life via interdisciplinary contemporary art happenings. Its endeavor is to disrupt the chronically discriminatory, monopolist attitudes, and the status quo of our time. In order to fulfill its goal, it is also CUMA’s aspiration to form creative bridges between thought and reality for organizations and initiatives with creative ideas to realize their international and local collaborative utopias.
With its collaborators from a wide spectrum, CUMA also acts as a mediator amongst them, creating dynamic networks and gathering place.

CEIPES – TURKIYE is a non profit organization and representative of CEIPES EUROPE, which was established according to the needs, demands and motivation of the young people in different parts of the world. CEIPES – TURKIYE has no bound with any political party. CEIPES - TURKIYE is inspired by some fundamental values such as independence, equality, solidarity, human rights, non violence, respect, cooperation, dignity. The aim of CEIPES - TURKIYE is to train and educate young people and adults in the direction of values. It is aiming to inform and promote the knowledge of young people especially who have limited facilitates. CEIPES - TURKIYE is trying to minimize the differences between people. Being CEIPES-TURKIYE’s conciliatory, its main compasses of actions are human rights, peace, non violence, cultural diversity, being a part of active citizenship, participation in the activities, disabilities, limited facilities and being marginalized. CEIPES - TURKIYE is connected with the other associations at local level and also, it adheres the activities of these charities. CEIPES - TURKIYE consists of young and dynamic staff. Genis Aci Project Office (GAPO) is founded at the beginning of 2007, based on the experiences of Genis Aci Photography Magazine published between 1997-2006. In GAPO only two people are working, and currently there are not anybody else employed. Because this organization is on the establishment, budgetary resources in a year are currently not available. Sources of funding are coming from the participation fees for the workshops, advertisements and sales of the publications. Modalities of action is organizing workshops and exhibitions, publishing magazines. Institutions specialized on photography like National Center of Photography of Russian Federation.
Mission and Objectives

The main objective of GAPO is to promote photographers from Turkey, help them to get to known
internationally by organizing exhibitions, publishing books, contributing editorially to magazines and websites with the collaborations of national and international institutions.
Secondly GAPO gives consultancy to photographers on editing, design, curation of their photographs for exhibitions, books, and their ongoing projects; searches scholarships and residencies for them.
One other service of GAPO is to produce special photography projects and establishing a photography collection for the companies or associations with existing photographs of photographers or based on producing new photographs.

Main Projects / Activities

Genis Aci Photography Magazine was dealing with the cultural and artistic aspects of photography in the world and specifically in Turkey, likewise GAPO is working on projects like creating a database of photography in Turkey, and organizing a contemporary photography exhibition which will be shown abroad.
GAPO is organizing workshops (for example on personal vision enhancement and project development) for photographers to help their personal development.
GAPO holds a project 'Young Talents in Turkish Photography'; open to all photographers under 30 that are willing to submit a thematic portfolio of their own. Selected portfolios of the Young Talents meet with public in a special bilingual (Turkish/English) magazine as well as a traveling exhibition. Last year a selection presented in National Center of Photography of Russian Federation. This year 4th edition of this project happened, a special magazine was published and a traveling exhibition is on touruntil the summer of 2008.

General Information
* The organisation is composed of members, a board and a secretariat. hCa Turkey currently has 188 members, 7 board and 7 reserve board members, 3 audit commission and 3 audit commission reserve members. The secretariat has 9 full time staff, 5 voluntary interns. * Budgetary resources available during 2009 has been 784.638,92 TL. * Sources of funding are mostly projects and and partially members fees. * Modalities of action are; concrete projects on freedom of religion, expression, torture, cultural rights. These projects use activities of focus group discussions, workshops, panels, research on practice and regulations, reporting and advocacy. * Main partners are human rights NGOs (human rights association, human rights foundation of turkey, mazlum-der, amnesty international, human rights joint platform), partners organisations of common projects (Roman and migration associations),members from academia, media, legal professions that respect values of democracy.
Mission and Objectives

hCa’s mission is to contribute to the promotion of human rights as a set of common values respected by all segments of society, and to work towards the building of universal values of peace, democracy and human rights from the bottom-up.
The purpose of the association is to support the principals of the process started with the Helsinki Final Contract that have been signed by 35 countries including Turkey and developed by the Paris Condition signed by the same countries at the end of the Paris Summit on the date of 21 November 1990 that are obligatory with the European Security and Co-operation Council (ESCC) Conference.
More concretely, the objectives of the association are to promote the values of peace, human rights, ecology/human centered economy, democracy, rule of law at the bedrock of civic life, establishment of a common understanding of peaceful co-existence, and the development of civic approaches against conflicts.

1. Mapping Discrimination in Turkey Faaliyetler:
i. Focus study meetings with human rights organisations in order to collect, prepare the content of, and map out the discrimination cases.
ii. Round table meetings with experts on the field of discrimination taken on by the selected mapping cases.
iii. Prepare a Project website (ayrimcilikharitalari.org)
iv. A publication of prepared discrimination maps and articles written on the cases
v. An international conference on the complex nature of discriminations and the need for new tools in understanding such complexities.

Netherlands Education Association has completed its foundation preparations and hold legal non-governmental organisation (NGO) status in Turkey since September 2010. HED organizes activities that has education at dimension and provides support to related initiatives and institutions who work at the same area. In this framework and without any intention of profit, the organisation may do: • Project writing, management, consultancy • Monitoring and reporting related policies, • Partner search and matching support • Organise trainings which have higher education, vocational education or life long learning perspectives • Acting as an intermediary institution at projects in Turkey who have foreign partners or run by foreign institutions And similar activities may be organised according to needs.
