General Information

WE ESHTABLISHED OUR FOUNDATION IN JULY 2006 TO HELP REFUGGEES IN HUNGARY. WE ARE 3 PEOPLE, 1 PRESIDENT AND 2 CURATORS,+ FEW VOLENTIERS. WE ARE WORKING FREE, SPENDING UNLIMITED ENERGY, INVESTED OUR OWN PRIVATE MONEY (ALTHOUGH WE ARE POOR TOO) HELPING PEOPLE, WHO HAD TO LIEVE THEIR OWN COUNTRY COS OF WARS, HUMAN RIGHT PROBLEMS, ETC. LOOSING THEIR COUNTRY, FAMILY, GOODS...NOW THEY TRY TO LIVE, TO STAY SURVIVE IN A NEW COUNTRY, OR MAYBE JUST NEED OUR HELP GOING HOME, FINDING THEIR FAMILY'S MEMBERS, ETC. THEIR SITUATION IS HORRIBLE HARD IN A UNKNOWN, POOR COUNTRY, WITHOUT MONEY BUT FULL WITH LANGUAGE, HEALTH OR MENTAL PROBLEM.

Mission and Objectives

REFUGEES ARE IN BAD SITUATION ALL OVER THE WORD, WITHOUT ROOTS, SECURITY, MONEY ETC. WE TRY TO HELP THEM TO FIND NEW HOME, OR GO BACK BUT ITS BRINGS LOT OF PROBLEMS. WE TRY TO SOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS, MAKE THEIR LIFE A BIT EASYER, HAPPIER. SOMETIMES SMALL FEELING ENOUGH , SHOWING THEY ARE NOT ALONE, THEY CAN COUNT ON OTHERS TOO, WITHOUT REFUSING, DISUNDERSTANDING, RACIZM. WE TRY TO HELP WITH USEFULL INFORMATION, ADVICES, COMMUNICATE WITH OFFICES, FINDING JOB OR BETTER PLACE TO STAY, OR STUDING HUNGARIAN LANGUAGE FOR ARRANGING THEIR LIFE ALONE. (HERE NOT TOO MUCH PEOPLE SPEAKS LANGUAGES IN THE OFFICIES AND THE HUNGARIAN IS VERY DIFFICOULT)SO WE KNOW LOT OF THINGS WHAT MAKES BETTER THEIR LIFE BUT WE DONT HAVE SPONSOR FOR IT BUT IN THIS FIANCIAL CRISIS IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET MONEY TO HELP THEM, SO THIS IS WHY WE TRY TO ASK U ALSO, AS LASTEST CHANCE TO KEEP OUR FOUNDATION IN LIFE COS OUR OWN MONEY IS FINISHED.

Main Projects / Activities

OUR FIRST ACTIVITY WAS TO FIND A PLACE FOR OUR MAIN PROJECT IN THE MIDDLE OF BUDAPEST. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT COS NO ANOTHER THIS KIND OF FOUNDATION,WHO HELP THEM ON THIS WAY.WESAW, THAT HERE IS MISSING A PLACE WHAT THEY CAN USE AS THEIR COMMUNITY'S CENTER. ALL REFUGEE'S CAMP ARE OUT OF BUDAPEST, THERE R PLACES ONLY FOR ASKING ADVICES BUT THEY NEEDED A PLACE TO MEET THEIR PEOPLE, FRIENDS, KEEPING NATIONALLY HOLIDAYS OR BIRTHDAY, FINDING NEW HUNGARIAN FRIENDAS TOO, KNOWING MORE ABOUT EACHOTHER, WATCHING NEWS OR SPORT EVENTS IN THE TV, USING FRE INTERNE KEEPING CONTACT WITH FAMILY MEMBERS WHO ARE LIVING IN OTHER COUNTRY. SO WE RECONIGZED THAT IN BUDAPEST IS MISSING A THIS KIND O PLACE AND WE FOUND A CELLAR AND WE RENT IT FROM THE MAJOR OFFICE IN THE 8. DISTRICT IN BUDAPEST. IT WAS IN BAD CONDITIONS, WE RENEWED FROM OUR MONEY AND ITS WORKING NOW. ITS OPEN EVERY WEEKDAY, WE TRY TO KEEP IT OPEN EVERY DAY FOR LONG BUT IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT DONATION OR ANY TYPE OF HELP. WE HAVE TO PAY THE HOUSERENT, LIGHT, HEATHER WE WOULD LIKE TO BUY COMPUTERS LET THEM TO USE IT AND WE HAVE LOT OF OTHER PROJECT, LIKE TO HAVE HUNGARIAN LANGUAGE COURSES OR NATIONALITY MEETINGS INTRODUSING LOCAL TRADITIONS FOR HUNGARIANS IN OUR PLACE AND TO ORGANIZE CULTURAL PROGRAMS ALSO ON BIGGER PLACES, WORKING TOGETHER WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS, AND SO ON, BUT ALL OUR PLANS NEED MONEY. WE CAN WORK FREE FOR LONG BUT NOTHING ELSE IS FREE. WE NEVER GOT GOVERMENT MONEY FOR OUR PROJECT DURING OUR 2 AND HALF YEARS SINCE WE ARE WORKING. BUT NO OTHER THIS KIND OF PLACE IN BUDAPEST (EVEN IN HUNGARY!) SO WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE OUR WORK COS LOT OF PEOPLE MISSING IT.

Main partners involved in the organization's projects/activities during 2008/2009 were the individuals, nongovernmental organization, cultural institutions, publishing houses, production houses, educational institutions (The Faculty of Political Science)
Mission and Objectives

Our mission is to initiate and strengthen women’s/feminist artistic/cultural praxis deconstructing the concept of monolithic, ”universal culture”. That way we want to deny the idea of cultural re-presentations as universal ones, to show up them to be just constructions generated by the centers of (patriarchal) political power. So, our activity is based on the following principles: culture is not universal, culture is not non-political, culture is not non-gendered. By promoting feminine culture (par excellence culture of otherness) we are going to take part in the creation of new culture that would come out of truly interaction of different cultures - identities, social, political and aesthetic positions.
Our aims are:
- Initiating and organizing the art projects, workshops and educative programs;
- Women artists linking up and different networking forms;
- Establishing international cooperation with similar groups and organizations;
- Strengthening women’s arts infrastructure in Montenegro;
- Making influence on the culture policy creators.
