General Information
CISS is a NGO of international co-operation that also acts with local interventions and projects. The three main intervention areas are: a) Projects and activities aiming international co-operation; b) Projects and activities aiming education and awareness; c) Projects aiming local development in Southern Italy. CISS is member of COCIS (that is member of the European network SOLIDAR), is one of the founders of the European network ENCOD and member of the Association of Italian NGOs. The overall budget for 2005 is 2 million € and the staff is more than 25 people.
Mission and Objectives

Promoting, supporting and sharing solidarity values and culture
Defending and promoting human and people basic rights , fighting against neo-liberist politics that increase differences between north and south
Enhancing relationships and exchanges between various groups and organisations coming from north and south
Promoting peace to build a fair society
Focusing on human beings and their relations to contribute to the development and empowerment of local groups and societies

Main Projects / Activities

Since its foundation CISS has implemented 45 actions of 2 years length or more and over 220 interventions of shorter duration, co-financed by the EU, the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs, some UN Agencies and local or regional Italian administrations. Countries where projects are actually running are: Albania, Bolivia, Brazil, Rep. of Congo (Brazzaville), Dem. Rep. of Congo (Kinshasa), Ivory Coast, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Kenya, FYROM Macedonia, Mauritania, Palestine, Sudan, Tunisia and Venezuela.
Moreover, 10 projects of 2 years length or more and over 150 small actions aiming awareness are implemented till now by CISS.

Mission and Objectives

Unioncamere (the Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Handicraft and Agriculture) safeguards and represents the general interests of the Chambers of Commerce, their associations and
functional bodies. It manages the relations between the Chambers system, other national and international institutions, and different trades. Moreover, it formulates common orientations, promotes and carries out joint initiatives, and supports the activities carried out by the Chambers system and all its bodies, with a view to favouring its development as a network.
To such end, it promotes, provides and manages services and activities of interest for the Chambers of Commerce and the various trades.
With a view to enhancing local economic systems, Unioncamere promotes and coordinates the implementation of guidelines, programs, plans and the use of EU funds by the Chambers system, in agreement with the various trades.

Mission and Objectives

Il Comune persegue l'obiettivo dello sviluppo sostenibile del proprio territorio partendo dalla riscoperta e giusta valorizzazione delle risorse storico, antropologiche, monumentali e ambientali dell'area. Questo attraverso il coinvolgimento diretto della popolazione e il contributo delle giovani generazioni. Ciò al fine di coniugare tutela e valorizzazione con le possibilità di sviluppo anche economico dell'area e incremento delle possibilità occupazionali in favore delle giovani generazioni e delle donne.

The University of Macerata was founded during the thirteenth century (a.D.1291) by Pope Nicholas IV as Scholam Legis. Today is a Public Institution hosting 6 Faculties (Law, Arts and Humanities, Political Science, Economics, Education Science, Communication Science), 11 Departments, 9 Institutes, 3 Specialisation Schools, offering all together to 12.872 students (24 january 2007) a wide range of courses consisting in 28 undergraduate courses, 23 Masters, 27 Ph.D. courses, 17 Specialisation Diplomas. Annual budget for the Academic Year 2006/2007 is estimated of 10 Mill. €, having the Italian Govt. as main donor (Min. of University & Research), followed by the student taxation, European Community funds and others. In 2006 were employed 288 being permanent teaching staff and 1.435 as per collaboration contracts, while the number of employee in administration amounts to 236 persons.
Mission and Objectives

The University mission is to offer high quality education to national and international students in the field of humanities, law, political sciences and economy. Main task of the University is to promote dialogue and experiences exchange amongst the entire society, promoting equity and social justice. A wide range of activities is connected with the promotion of gender equality and democracy. Building a democratic society is the major objective and the University is continuously seeking for partners to achieve justice and peace.
The numerous projects the University is involved in, demonstrate the capacity of our institution to attract different position and to work for equity and transparency.

Main Projects / Activities

Besides the normal cultural activities that continuously go on, the University runs the Erasmus project, it is involved in scientific projects of National and International interest, it has a centre for inter-departmental research and many others research programs.
Very much emphasis is now on the development of a centre of e-learning and multimedia approach to study.

Mission and Objectives

Legambiente is active for the protection of the artistic and natural patrimony, collaborate with the local institutions and with international partners; it promotes the guardianship of the human rights and the intercultural dialogue using as privileged channel of communication the artistic expression, particularly theatrical, to sensitize above all the young people about problems as racism, xenophobia, intolerance and social exclusion.
As primary objectives work for the guardianship of the ethnic and religious minorities through Techniques for promote a management of the conflicts.
One of future objectives is to organize a permanent center of searches on the peace, through the creation of a network of European-Mediterranean artists that can bring their contribution for the creation of performances and permanent workshops.

Main Projects / Activities

August 2006: Project financed by the European union (Project Youth-Action 1) from the title migratory Experiences: the Mediterranean as theater of peace, promoted and coordinated by Legambiente-Trani, directs to analyze the tied up problems to the racism, xenophobia and social exclusion through the dynamics of the theater of the oppressed.
December 2005 - May 2006: theatrical Laboratory promoted by the Arcilesbica Bari finalized to the realization of a theatrical performance by the title Labyrinths, directs to investigate the conflicts social and cultural legacies to the identity.
March 2004: European Project (Action 3) from the title: Step in to the Europe,
Involved countries: Ireland, Germany, Italy, Sweden
Subject leader: Boomerang Theatre Company, Cork - Ireland.

General Information
Il Comitato Territoriale di Ancona opera da oltre 15 anni nel territorio delle Marche, sia capillarmente attraverso i circoli della città e della provincia, sia globalmente attraverso iniziative che riguardano l’ambito culturale, sociale, ambientale attraverso le linee guida del pacifismo, della lotta ad ogni tipo di razzismo culturale o sessuale e delle pari opportunità tra uomini e donne. L'associazione è composta da 3 persone impiegate stabilmente e dagli operatori del Servizio Civile Nazionale che annualmente sono ospitati presso l'ente. A livello finanziario, Arci Ancona è sostenuta dalle quote associative, dai proventi derivanti dagli eventi a pagamento organizzati lungo tutto l'anno e da contributi pubblici eventualmente erogati a sostegno delle proprie attività. Arci Ancona opera durante tutto l’anno lungo direttrici che investono la musica, il cinema, la poesia, la letteratura e le arti visive (pittura, scultura, video, etc..). Questo si è tradotto in una miriade di iniziative, piccole e grandi, estemporanee o articolate: rassegne musicali e cinematografiche, concerti, mostre, incontri culturali, rassegne di poesie, dibatti, etc. Nella realizzazione di attività e progetti, Arci Ancona persegue l'obiettivo di fare sistema con l'associazionismo marchigiano esistente, al fine di mettere in rete risorse e competenze e creare occasioni di confronto e di collaborazione. Per questo motivo, molti degli appuntamenti targati Arci spesso sono presentati in sinergia con altre associazioni, o fanno parte di programmazioni artistiche e culturali condivise.
Mission and Objectives

Uno degli obiettivi prioritari di ARCI Ancona è quello di inserire le tematiche culturali nella prospettiva di crescita e di formazione dei nuovi cittadini, per la costruzione di nuovi modelli di vita e per la qualità dell’esistenza delle comunità locali, ancor di più oggi nel tempo della comunicazione e della produzione globale. Una scelta che, senza escludere l’ambito professionale della cultura, privilegia in primis la scelta di promozione sociale, di liberazione degli individui, di responsabilità rispetto all’impatto delle scelte, di difesa dei luoghi della socialità reale, di rifiuto della monocultura imperante e di ogni tentativo di omologazione.
L'inserimento in un network internazionale di operatori che si occupano di cooperazione internazionale rappresenta attualmente uno degli obiettivi prioritari che l'associazione persegue.

Main Projects / Activities

A livello nazionale, tra le attività ed i progetti ideati e realizzati nel corso degli anni da Arci Ancona ricordiamo in questa sede:
> rassegna musicale itinerante "Controcanto", organizzata in collaborazione con la Provincia di Ancona che vede come protagonista la canzone d'autore;
> gestione dell'Arena Cinematografica Estiva nel Comune di Ancona e Chiaravalle;
> festival "Sconcerti", che evidenzia lo stretto legame che unisce la musica alle altre discipline artistiche - in particolare cinema e letteratura;
> gestione della stagione estiva dell'Anfiteatro del Consorzio Parco del Conero a Sirolo(AN);
> festival di musica e cultura elettronica "Acusmatiq".
A livello internazionale, ARCI Ancona è stata partner di diversi progetti internazionali di cooperazione culturale:
> progetto "Adriatico Mediterraneo - Klezmer", che dal 2005 promuove scambi culturali ed artistici con i Balcani
> progetto "European Adriatic Cultural Network" volto a favorire gli scambi di risorse umane, di idee, di conoscenze nel settore artistico-culturale e della pianificazione culturale nell’area Euroadriatica

Mission and Objectives

To promote intercultural dialogue through artistic expressions, through meetings, youth exchanges, and telematic networks. To make Italian and global common feeling sensitive and conscious about the very duty of giving a contribute for the affirmation of peace and human rights. Promoting the intercultural exchange by emphasising themes such as the understanding of ethic, cultural and religious values shared by both Arabian and European societies, as a contribute to comprehend common values in making new peace paths in Mediterranean area.
