General Information
1. Unioncamere is the association of the Chambers of Commerce; it has a President elected by the Assembly of the Presidents of Chambers of Commerce, in charge for 4 years; the Assembly elects the members of the Board (composed by Presidents of Chambers of Commerce); and the Board nominates the members (Presidents of Chambers of Commerce) of the (restricted) President Committee; Unioncamere have a Secretary General; the staff of Unioncamere is of 76 persons; Unioncamere is shareholder of national agencies specialised in training, internationalisation, communication and marketing, tourism, innovation 2. Mission and Objectives

Unioncamere (the Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Handicraft and Agriculture) safeguards and represents the general interests of the Chambers of Commerce, their associations and
functional bodies. It manages the relations between the Chambers system, other national and international institutions, and different trades. Moreover, it formulates common orientations, promotes and carries out joint initiatives, and supports the activities carried out by the Chambers system and all its bodies, with a view to favouring its development as a network.
To such end, it promotes, provides and manages services and activities of interest for the Chambers of Commerce and the various trades.
With a view to enhancing local economic systems, Unioncamere promotes and coordinates the implementation of guidelines, programs, plans and the use of EU funds by the Chambers system, in agreement with the various trades.
