The Organization of Backing Liberal and Social Development (OBLSD ) is an Egyptian non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 8th of July, 2009. It works according to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights' Principles and the International Human Rights' legislation. The organization mission is to spread and promote the liberal though and the culture of Human Rights as well  to work on the community development through the dissemination of the notion and culture of the voluntary work across Egypt. We don't have any religious, racial, political or partial belonging, we are dealing with all groups to achieve Freedom and Liberal principles and to disseminate the human rights culture inconsistent with the Law or the national interest. we have 10 member in our stuff . 3 Units :- social media unit / democracy and political participation unit / Gender unit / Education and Vocational Training unit
Mission and Objectives

- spread the human rights culture and publicize it, and expand the circle of peace to the principles of knowledge and the development of democracy and they relate to development
- promote the values that respect human rights at the core of women's rights.
- empower women to actively participate in public life on the economic, social and political levels.
- Foundation seeks to focus on narrowing the gender gap and work to empower women politically, socially and culturally authentic

Main Projects / Activities

- "Only You" project for girls in the slum "Azbit El Nakhl " for 3 months period
- Number of seminars at the journalist syndicate under the supervision of the freedoms committee and Watny newspaper
- Training courses at Gabha party, Al-Ghad party and the Liberal Egyptians for the
partial work and 1 course about the Civil society
- Participating in the Street Children National Day with more than 70 human rights' organizations and institutions.
- Set up the Liberal Cultural Forum at Watny newspaper place for 2 months period and graduating more than 15 new researcher
- Directed the play "Death Brokers" about tolerance in cooperation with the German
Friedrich Neumann Foundation.
- Participated in observing the Parliament elections in 2011 with Ibn Khaldoun Center for Development studies.
- Periodic trainings on the negotiation skills with the Egyptian Democratic Institute

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Working on spreading the legal and constitutional cultural awareness among the citizens to know their guaranteed rights and duties in the constitution and the law as well.
Working on providing research, reports and periodic and non-periodic studies on liberalism, human rights, tolerance and acceptance of others culture and monitoring the human rights' violations occur in Egypt through seminars, workshops and conferences with the participation of specialists from institution, organizations and individuals in all fields.
Working on the community participation in an assistant attempt to raise the society through the volunteer work.
Working on supporting women empowerment in the society as well as fighting discrimination and violence against them through projects , programs and training aimed at empowering women's role and raising their awareness to change the inferiority perception to be treated as a human.
Working on providing opportunities for the marginalized sectors, ( especially " Migrant Egyptians") supporting and integrating them into the community as it is their simplest right, and integrating the special needs in the community as well through workshops, projects and programs for them.
Raise the awareness of the importance of the civil society's role and its institutions in the community.
Establish strong relationships with local and international institution interested in working in the liberal field, human rights as well as community development to achieve the organization goals.
Priority interest in slums through the field and training work and establishing special programs for them to introduce the human rights 'culture and spreading the liberal principles to them.

OUR RESEARCH CENTER is a volunteer based research centre, established in 2021 by Mohamed Sobhy in Zagazig University, as the first research centre in Egypt specialised in legal research, till now, OUR research centre served more than 14 institution and developed research skills of +20 students.

"Dialogue for reconciliation" The culture of revenge prevails in Assiut, as is the case in many of Upper Egypt governorates, which leads to lots of unjustified violence, for example a normal conflict may result in a number of dead. "Against Women Trafficking (Leisure Marriage)in Hawamdeya" There is a large no. of girls in Hawamdeya Providence who resort to common law marriages from rich Arab tourists during their short stay in Egypt during the summer season and then this relationship would end by divorce as soon as the tourist goes back home, this phenomenon has spread widely because of the religious ignorance, families disintegration, illiteracy and poverty and from here comes the objective of this project which is to eliminate the phenomenon of women trafficking in Hawamdeya in the form of underage marriages from wealthy Arabs for a fixed period by raising the religious and legal awareness in Hawamdeya.

Our company was established in 2014. It produced many corporate videos and documentaries. We also handled the post production of many projects. “The dream of a scene” short film was our first fiction film production. It was produced and released in 2014. Who talks about women and her rights in life.
“The dream of a scene” participated and was awarded at many film festival around the world. In 2017 Produced other short film called "Berries Island" By Khalid Mansour.  Talking about a child searching for traveling to the moon like her mother. " Film for children".  The feature film "Starting Date" By Yasser Shafiey got a development fund from Luxor Film Festival in 2015 By "Initiative Film" By the consultant "Isabelle Fauvel". The company working on many projects with "Save The Children" in Cairo.  And many Projects with "GIZ" doing videos with them.   Worked with "Beqaa" in Lebanon with " The Syrian refugees ” .doing magic Shows for the children.  still working on many artistic projects step by step. There are many art projects that we are working on in the present time. We welcome any creative projects which we can either produce or develop so stay updated.

Our Company Stablished on Cairo, Egypt. The main staff is 4 artists "Producer, Photographer & videographer, Editor, Graphic Designer". 
Other Staff working with us by Project depending on the target of the project.
We mainly work on short & Feature films "Fiction & Documentary". 
 We support some Projects with Equipment when we find that it helps non-commercial projects. Like in Lebanon " Beqaa" with doing Photoshoot for the children there.

Our Budget depending on our needs. If we will produce a film we search for Grants for it and search for donors, founders. We don't have a High budget but we have the tools that make us achieve our goals. 
We have great contacts with artistic people in our field that want to support our projects always.

PFT works in the context of assisting the community to consolidate and apply integrity, transparency and accountability values to achieve inclusive human development and human rights respect, along with establishing good governance system.

Partners for Transparency is a Head of Egyptian Network of Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue Between Cultures, the Anna Lindh Foundation is an international organization working from the Mediterranean to promote intercultural and civil society dialogue in the face of growing mistrust and polarization.

Mission and Objectives

Partners For Transparency seeks to assist different stakeholders to adopt practices against corruption, promoting transparency, integrity, and accountability, as well as unfettered access to information and facilitating circulation of information to assist different actors to take good decisions. Thus, Partners For Transparency seeks to establish four principles in Egypt: Access to information is a right for all stakeholders; People have the right to hold accountable decision-making entities and power holders; Credibility and impartiality are the foundation for the exercise of power; Transparency and accountability are tools for progress not defamation; Main Objectives: Enabling power holders (governmental and non-governmental) to apply transparency and integrity practices; Promoting the instruments aiming at detecting and eliminating corruption; Providing assistance to civil society in its broadest sense to use social accountability tools.

Partners for Transparency implemented the project to address hate speech in the Euro-Mediterranean region through how to use cultural dialogue to combat hate speech in the Mediterranean region. Through a number of diverse activities, in partnership with the heads of the Anna Lindh network in Spain, Belgium, Latvia and Luxembourg we organized an international forum in Egypt that brought together 70 young people from these countries.

Ponza Prima Med Project

Partners for Transparency participated in the Ponza Prima Med project in 2021, on environment and climate change. In partnership with the head of the Italian and Palestinian networks for Anna Lindh Foundation for Intercultural Dialogue, to address the phenomenon of combating climate change in the region.

Be My Voice Project

Partners Foundation participated in a project entitled “Be My Voice” on “Freedom of Expression”, in partnership with civil society organizations from Luxembourg, Jordan, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Albania, Morocco and Tunisia, and the importance of promoting cultural dialogue to support freedom of opinion and expression

Act for dialogue

Partners for Transparency participated as a partner in the project of “Action for Dialogue” on Multiple Citizenship in partnership with the Presidents of the Moroccan, Tunisian, French, Spanish and Turkish Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation and was responsible for this project in Egypt, and participated in the international forum held in Morocco in Safi in July 2021

Second: Partners for Transparency has implemented a number of activities to combat corruption and uphold the values of integrity and transparency, whether at the national, regional or international levels:

Citizens for Transparency

Partners for transparency launched the “Citizens for Transparency” program as a voluntary initiative in April 2018. It aimed at enhancing the role of youth in adopting and disseminating values of integrity, transparency, accountability and anti-corruption by training and qualifying a group of youth leaders in 14 governorates, Aswan, Luxor, Qena , Sohag, Assyout, Ismaileya, Suez, Kaliobeya, Kafr El Sheikh, El Beheira, El Gharbeya, El Sharkeya, El Monofeya and Dakahlia. Over the course of 8 months, Partners for Transparency have enabled 140 young men and women in the targeted governorates to carry out voluntary activities aimed at raising awareness among their peers of anti-corruption issues and concept . one of the most important outputs of the program is the implementation of 30 voluntary youth initiatives in the targeted governorates and the formation of 14 youth committees of active cadres on transparency, accountability and anti-corruption

 

The Egyptian-European Alliance to Follow the Elections

Partners Foundation was the coordinator of the Egyptian-European alliance to follow up on the parliamentary elections in Egypt 2020, and the alliance included 30 observers from Germany, the Netherlands, Romania and Egypt.

Participation in meeting of promoting partnership between civil society and governments in Sierra Leone

Partners for Transparency participated in meeting of promoting partnership between civil society and governments in Sierra Leone which held in 30-31 October 2019 , this participation came through our membership in the African Union (ECOSOC), this meeting discussed how to enhance cooperation mechanisms between governments and civil society

Participation in Sessions of the Human Rights Council of United Nations in Geneva since 2019 about abuses of human rights in the world and organized side events and submiiting big number of oral intervention in UN Geneva

In line with its commitment to build networks and partnerships that can foster positive change surrounding transparency, accountability, and integrity, Partners For Transparency seeks to build strong bonds with both the national and international partners of the Anna Lindh Foundation. These could serve both to unite efforts with very similar organizations in joint projects or to build up the relevant capacities of organizations involved wtih community development and decentralization. Furthermore, Partners For Transparency is interested in the excellent opportunities for training, funding, and exchange that the Anna Lindh Foundation and its networks provide. This could potentially strengthen Partners For Peace as an organization as well as its employees and volunteers. Since the organization is still in its infancy, there is a high potential for training and knowledge transfer of having a significant impact and helping Partners For Transparency achieve its full potential.
