The Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought is an international Islamic non-governmental, independent institute headquartered in Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Mission and Objectives

The purpose of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought is to serve Islam and humanity at large. Among its objectives are: promoting awareness of Islam and Islamic thought, rectifying unsound ideas and misconceptions about Islam, highlighting the Islamic intellectual contribution and its impact on human civilization, deepening the dialogue and fostering cooperation between the schools of Islamic jurisprudence, highlighting the achievements of Aal al-Bayt (Household of the Prophet) and their calling for middle ground, moderation and tolerance, fostering the encounter of Muslim scholars, the strengthening of their intellectual links and exchange of opinions, and cooperating with research centres, institutes, academic entities and universities in accordance with the objectives of the Institute.

General Information

The Royal Film Commission (RFC) is a non-for profit body that enjoys administrative and financial autonomy.

The RFC was established through a temporary Government Law (No. 27 - 2003) which was later passed by the Parliament through Law No. 22 (2008). The RFC initiated its activities in 2004.

The RFC reflects the official ambition of having Jordan play a leading cultural and economic role, regionally and internationally, in the audio-visual sector.

Mission and Objectives

The Royal Film Commission – Jordan (RFC) was established with a vision to develop an internationally competitive Jordanian film industry where all people of the Middle East can freely make films alongside the world’s most talented artists. Its mission is to encourage Jordanians and Arabs to tell their stories, thus contributing to cross-cultural understanding and enhancing freedom of speech, as well as to promote film culture and position Jordan as a location for international audio-visual productions.

Main Projects / Activities

The Royal Film Commission's activities fall within three main categories:

Production support: the RFC provides support to film and television productions in Jordan. This includes, but is not limited to: location scouting and spotting, facilitating the procurement of location permits, providing customs clearances, and providing assistance production cost reduction by locating cost-effective services. It also provides some production support and advice for independent filmmakers. In addition, the RFC promotes Jordan as a filming location.

Training: the RFC provides emerging film-makers and professionals, from Jordan and the region, with various training opportunities in all fields of film and television production. It regularly organizes seminars and workshops which are usually free of charge. Since its establishment, the RFC has also built several partnerships, including an annual workshops held in partnership with the University Of Southern California, as well as a Screenwriters’ lab (Rawi) held in partnership with the Sundance Institute. These partnerships play an important role in providing the know-how and adding value to the RFC’s educational programs.

Promoting film culture: the RFC organizes regular screenings with local or international partners. Films – narrative, documentaries and shorts - are selected on the basis of their quality; they usually are premiere movies in Jordan. The RFC holds screenings in Amman as well as in the various Governorates. Screenings are usually followed by a discussion with filmmakers.

General Information
The Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan (JREDS) is the first and the specialized organization in Jordan in marine conservation since 1993. HRH Princess Bassma Bint Ali is leading the organization as the chairperson, in addition to seven activists representing the Board members. JREDS is non-profit, non-governmental organization, and a member with the Foundation for Environmental Education, which is an international NGO running international programs in field of eco-tourism and Eco-schools. JREDS is also a member with national and international partnership, including IUCN, German Corporation Agency (GIZ), Quebec Labrador Foundation (QLF), Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), Potash Company, Ayla Oasis Project, Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), and Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT). The society at the highest level is governed by its general assembly, which elects seven board of directors each fourth year. The board of directors approves and appoints an Executive Director who is entrusted with the society’s day-to-day management functions. The Executive Director in turn is authorized to recruit a cadre of qualified and capable full-time and part-time staff members who formulate the working team that would execute the society’s programs of work and activities. Mission and Objectives

To contribute to the conservation and sustainable use of the marine environment in Jordan through our conservation program, outreach and advocacy as well as the sustainable development program.
JREDS is seek to be a world- class organization working on marine conservation for future generations in Jordan.

Main Projects / Activities

JREDS is running three main programs; Marine Conservation program focus mainly on marine life, doing scientific studies and research. Outreach and Advocacy program aiming to raise conscious awareness of individuals and organizations toward the environment, and advocate for human rights, in addition to invest our volunteer energy with our programs, field visits and activities. the third program is Sustainable Development that running in Jordan since 2008, through three international environmental Eco-Labels; Green key Eco labeling for tourism facilities, Blue Flag Eco label for beaches & marinas and Eco-schools program that designed for both governmental and private schools.
Moreover, JREDS is running funded projects in different fields that support the social economic approaches and one annual biggest campaign called "Clean-Up the World".

1. Working on new project that aims to implement safety plans on public beach.

General Information

(RSFA) is a cultural, non-profit organization founded in 1979. It is governed by a Board of Trustees and has an independent administrative, financial and legal status. As a non-profit institution it is tax exempt in Jordan. It derives budget from donations, grants and loans by individuals, institutions and governments in Jordan, the Arab orld and beyond. The RSFA has engaged in a range of activities in co-operation with international museums and institutions, in order to promote cultural dialog and artistic exchange. The RSFA established the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, which was opened in 1980. It is one of the major art museums in the Middle East, its unique collection of modern and contemporary artworks in the region comprises over eighteen hundred works, including paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, installations, weavings, and ceramics by more than 700 artists from 45 countries, mainly in Asia, Africa, and South America.

The RSFA’s goal is to encourage cultural diversity and promote contemporary art.

Main Projects / Activities

The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts organizes exhibitions in its own space as well as in co-operation with foreign museums and institutions. The Royal Society of Fine Arts and the National Gallery organize lectures, seminars, and workshops. URI MENA is a regional network that cultivates peace and justice by engaging people to bridge religious and cultural differences and work together for the good of their communities and the world. URI MENA implements its mission through local and global initiatives as well as through its 85+ independent group members/ organizations (we call them Cooperation Circles “CCs”). URI MENA CCs are engaged in community action such as humanitarian aid, conflict resolution and reconciliation, environmental sustainability, education, women’s empowerment, youth leadership programs, and advocacy for human rights. Even though it operates independently from its office in Jordan, URI MENA is part of the URI, a global grassroots interfaith network presents in 108 countries including more than 1,000 member groups and organizations. URI enjoys the consultative status with the United Nations Economic & Social Council and has partnerships with several other UN agencies. (www.uri.org) URI MENA is active in grassroots interfaith dialogue and peace-building activities in 13 countries across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). URI MENA’s member groups/ organizations are diverse, each group/ organization includes at least seven members and at least three diversities (e.g. religions, spiritual expressions and indigenous traditions). In total, URI MENA community exceeds 350 members. URI MENA organizes regional conferences, training workshops for all its member groups under themes related to interfaith dialogue, peace-building and community development. In addition, it encourages its member groups/ organizations to organize many local activities dedicated to promoting peace and serving local communities.

It is a non-profit NGO registered under Ministry of Social Development. its board consists of seven specialists. Its main sources of fund are membership fees, government support and donors support through proposals. Modalities of action are researches, demonstration projects, awareness and training.

Main Projects / Activities

Reusing grey water at schools for agriculture. the project used sub merged gravel filter to treat (10) cubic meter/month of grey water and irrigate the trees in the garden which was also provided by the project. Also, the NGO has been qualified recently to apply for EU project.

Help the network in achieving its objectives through the NGO development projects and the extensive experience of NGO's members especially the Executive Director who has long experience with Donors, writing proposals and managing projects.

The Youth Spirit Center is a group of Jordanian youth who believe in interfaith dialogue and social work and whose mission is to promote their concepts and importance through the community.YSC believes the culture of Peace and non-violence as language for dialogue and understanding.YSC helps in building bridges of understanding between youth from different cultures and religious background, to break stereotypes and to promote the Jordanian example on coexistence and diversity. YSC hosted many Euro-Med Projects, starting with a Contact Making Seminar on Art & Religion, and how to use Art as a tool for Interfaith Dialogue, 21 Organization coming from 15 different countries toke part in that CMS, to come out with three main projects under Action 1. Youth & Art, a Youth exchange with participants coming from Denmark, France,Palestine, and Jordan, 48 of youth gathered for more than a week to work on Music,Theater, and Drawing.

Increase the youth active participation in the development process, through ensuring the chances of participation in the local and international meetings, and emphasize the youth initiative to develop the society and integrate in it. On the other hand spread the cooperation and peace spirit between the Jordanian youths and the rest of the world youths for a better future.

The organization obtains it values from the Jordanian deep-rooted traditions and norms, with faith in creativity and sustainable development by using the newest technology and communication methods.
