A systemic action originating at the city level to address increasing phenomena of racism, xenophobia, discrimination, cultural polarization and growing social inequalities are made even more relevant in the post-Covid 19 context where mobility limitations and social distancing to contain contagion constrained the possibility for direct engagement and interaction between people.

The relevance for addressing intercultural dialogue at the city level has been reiterated by the Anna Lindh Foundation’s research on Intercultural Trends and in different surveys that have been conducted among the more than 4500 ALF Network members from the 42 countries from both shores of the Mediterranean.

In this regard, the ALF develops the following three main strands of activity:
