*Friends of Environment Association has around 100 members in the General Assembly, 7 members of those present the Association's Board of Directors. We have 4 staff members aiding with management and financial work, along with 6 regular volunteers that support our activities. * Monthly running costs are supported by a trust bank account. * Funding comes from grants from funding agencies responsible for our projects. *Our activities are illustrated through Lawsuits, press campaigns, seminars, awareness campaigns and concrete projects. * Some of the partners we've worked with as Egyptian Enterprise Development Authority, Swiss Development Fund, EEAA, Frederich Ebert, GEF , World Bank, European Union, Sawiris Foundation and Ministries of Environment and Education in Egypt.

*Protecting, maintaining and improving the natural and built environment in Alexandria governorate. *Monitoring and Identifying the environmental problems . * Cooperating with the bodies of scientific research, the executive authorities and popular entities to figure out suitable solutions for the environmental problems. *Organizing dialogues with the legislative bodies, planners, decision makers and implementers with a view to providing the needed protection for the environment. *Carrying out well-studied projects in order to improve the conditions of the urban environment, particularly in poor areas.

*Project on the legal education in the field of environment, It has aimed at raising the legal awareness on the legislation pertinent to the protection of the natural and physical environment that had been enacted in Egypt. *Project on developing and relocating foundries outside the populated areas. *Project on preparing trainers in the field of environmental education. *Project to establish a garden for environmental education to be located in the premises of International Garden of Alexandria. *Project on the protection of urban poor from the disastrous consequences of pollution and environmental degradation. *Project on curbing industrial pollution in Alexandria. *Project on the preservation of the biodiversity of Mariout lake. *Project on the control of the industrial pollution. *Project on raising the environmental awareness in schools. *Project on curbing the pollution of seawater and beaches. *Project on the protection of sea turtles living on the coast lines of Alexandria from extinction. *Project on the establishment of a network of NGOs in the three governorates (Alexandria, Beheira and Matrouh) and qualifying those with the necessary capabilities and skills to undertake collective advocacy of citizens' environmental rights. *Project on Educational development. *Project on Environmental Parliament. *Project to support household women to develop skills through recycling work. *Project to provide job opportunities for the youth through environmental cleaning campaigns.

Dr / Sameh Fouad Habib, Chairman of the board Mr / Seif Sameh Fouad, Deputy Chairman of the board The Academy was founded in 1993 and obtained a license under resolution 1471 on 13/11/1993. Since its establishment the academy has striven to prepare its students both academically and morally to develop their sense of responsibility.
Mission and Objectives

To prepare graduates with skills and technical knowledge that will enable them to honor their job duties in the future as there is an increasing demand for this distinguished class of skilful graduates in Egypt and other Arab Countries.
To shape the personality of its students in a creative way. In fact the Academy instill in the minds of its students important social and cultural values such as creative thinking, self sacrifice team work, diligence in work and the continual development of their professional skills and mental abilities.

Main Projects / Activities

Interested Academy student activities and future families of different kinds because of their great importance in the educational process and their direct impact on student behavior. The Student Union under the supervision of the Youth Welfare oversees all student activities at the Academy as follows:
 
Social activities:
Social activities within the academy received significant interest and through many events, including the celebration of an orphan within the academy, as well as the many contributions in social services such as blood donation campaigns and donate to Cancer Hospital and the Institute of Nasser.
In the area of ​​social solidarity by the Youth Welfare Office exchange subsidies from the social solidarity fund for students who can not, and provide students who are unable Office textbooks and references that will help them recall.
 
Sports activities:
The Academy works to encourage students and employees to exercise care and superior elements of them through the provision of grants.
