General Information
The Greek Association for Atlantic and European Cooperation (GAAEC), established in 1991 and based in Athens, is a registered non-governmental and non-profit organization. GAAEC staff is constituted by the Chairman and the Chairwoman of the Science and Education Committee, both founders of GAAEC, an Assistant for Administration and Gender, a Program Assistant for Education and Youth as well as 2 part-time staff for International Cooperation, 2 European long-term volunteers (EVS) and 2 Greek interns. GAAEC organizes several educational programs in partnership with several institutions and NGOs in Europe and in The United States (between others The Fund for American Studies and Georgetown University). In the year 2007, for the fiscal year 2006, we have declared to the Greek tax Office approximately 250 000 Euros in incomes from different contribution and expenses. Private and public sponsors, Europe Union funding. Between others partners, GAAEC works with a large network of Euro-Atlantic associations (40 countries).
Mission and Objectives

GAAEC is dedicated in reinforcing European and Transatlantic cooperation through educational dialogue and advocacy. Our main focus is to underline the importance of education in a broader sense. Our organization is active at local, national and international levels endeavoring to develop European and international citizenship awareness, sustain integration and promotion of youth exchanges and intercultural relations. Active sections within GAAEC are the youth section and the transatlantic cooperation section. GAAEC holds academic programs that promote educational and other programs in cooperation with respectable Educational Institutions.

Main Projects / Activities

- Kernels of Our Future,
This two-week program is organized in Crete since 2004 with the support of the European Union.
- International Institute for Political and Economic Studies (IIPES), 90 students from Balkan countries, Middle-East, North Africa and the United States. co-organized with The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) and Georgetown University.
- Euro-Mediterranean Journalism Institute (EMJI), 50 young journalists from Balkan countries, Middle-East and North Africa, co-organized with TFAS.
- Fellowship Program on international security and cooperation
- Annual Conflict Management and Transformation Discussion: takes place in Jerusalem during spring and is co-organized with The Fund for American Studies.
- GAAEC is accredited to send and host European Volunteers to take part actively to all activities through the European Voluntary Service program (EVS, YOUTH program of the European Union) since 2006
- GAAEC offers Internships to European and Greek students in its office.

The Greek Bank of Memories is a nonprofit organization founded in May 2011 with the following purposes: • to preserve and promote history and culture as a whole of experiences, • to valorise knowledge and traditions of each people, particularly through the promotion of individual and collective memory. • to preserve individual and collective identity as a cornerstone for building a global, peaceful, multicultural society. •to raise awareness and to educate new generations about the importance of registering and maintaining collective memory. • to bridge the generation gap through the recognition of the important role of elder people in the evolution of our society and culture. The Greek bank of memories has as source of main funds private donors, sponsors and national or international programmes. during the first year of activity tha association has implemented 2 EU projects for a total budge of 30.000 euros. At the moment the association works only with volunteers, although it has a team of expertise supporting at professional level. The Greek Banok of Memory is the only Greek Partner of the project MEMORO www.memoro.org with more than 15 partners from all the 5 continents. The Greek Bank of memories organizes - collection of audiovisual material recording memories - implementation of educational programmes at schools - projects for bridging the intergenerational gap (Memoro has been presented in Brussels at the Committee of the Regions in February 2012 as best practice for the 2012 European Year of Active Aging and Solidarity among generations.

Although we are a quite young organization, our team is highly committed to establish fruitful cooperation with Greek partners to strengthen network and to add a peculiar aspect - memory sharing - to the works and of the network.

General Information
The Greek Council for Refugees (GCR) was created in 1989 and is the only Greek NGO that deals with refugees and asylum seekers in Greece. It has Special Consultative Status in the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and is an implementing partner of UNHCR. It is a member of the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) and the National Committee of Human Rights. The GCR is directed by an eleven-member board. GCR’s operations are funded by the Greek State, the EU, UNHCR, and by private donors. The staff of GCR reaches 53 persons. GCR cooperates with: •Ministries •National Youth Foundation •Social Work Foundation•National Councils for refugees of third countries ..
Mission and Objectives

Unlike other organizations that deal with refugees, GCR focuses its services on refugees and asylum seekers who are in Greece. GCR aims to improve its existing services and create new ones, always trying to provide the best solutions to immediate problems and striving to achieve social integration, broaden its services and actions to other regions of the country, continue offering social and legal services throughout the asylum procedure both in and outside the borders of the country, and disseminate its acquired knowledge and experience in the area of asylum procedure and social policy to other countries.

General Information
The School belongs to the Holy Monastery of Ursulines that composes the Greek Department of the Monastery Order of Ursulines Sisters, which has departments all over the world. The School administration consists of a 5-membered Board of Governments that is composed of three temporals and two nuns. Responsible for the good function of the school is the General Director who is the head of the Personnel and the Directors of the School Units. There are three kindergartens for different ages, a primary school, High school and Lyceum. The total number of Teachers and Personnel is 180-190. The total income comes from the tuition fees and runs to approximately 5.000.000€ every year. The School, maintaining its charity and non profit character, offers scholarships to students, whose financial position don’t allow them to study at a private school. The School takes part in student exchange programs with schools from other countries.
Mission and Objectives

The purpose of the School is to provide education according to the program of ministry of national education.
Furthermore, emphasizing the French Culture, gives the students the chance to obtain the highest French Language Certificates, by the second year of lyceum.
Also its main purpose it to render students to society, who are being ruled by the Principle of Serving (The motto of the School is “SERVIAM”- to serve)
