General Information

We have just been official registered in Malta a process that takes a long time. We have a board made up of 5 people proffesionals in various fields. We have one director and used voluntires. We are looking forward to run our first Human trafficking small project involving the youths. Our main source of funding will be through fund raising initiatives, donations.We also looking to make applications for EU funding. I am sure you will appreciate the amount of work we need to cover after having been registerd 2nd half of 2012. We are formulating a human trafficking project,Work with the marginalised and the immigrants who form 2% of the maltese propulation,Training, etc We are looking to team up with one partner to hold cultural arts festivals annually that will help bring back interest and capture the participation of the communities in Arts and culture

Mission and Objectives

CCIF is dedicated to enhancing cross-cultural communication within each community, and across communities and nations. Tolerance and mutual understanding are central themes. While not a partisan or political institution, the foundation is to support the basic values and goals of the European Union that endeavour to offer equal opportunities to all people irrespective of colour, creed, social orientation and religious or cultural background. The foundation intends to build cultural harmony, understanding and well-being through cultural and artistic expressions as a means of promoting solidarity and social cohesion. • Humanitarian aid; • Spearheading interventions tailored to enhance cross cultural communication and exchange programs in all sectors of the communities we live in; • Providing training on cultural issues, that is developing intercultural awareness, improving intercultural interactions and fostering cultural partnerships with other Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) in the same field; • Encouraging self-sustainability and self-reliability amongst people of diverse cultures living in Malta and other selected countries through empowerment programs and utilizing the services and expertise of third country nationals who are resident in Malta and blending them with Maltese nationals for the purpose of integration and information and knowledge interchange;

Malta we believe is strategically located and has experiences with problems that come with its close proximity to Africa. Secondly we have a team of professionals who have exposure in the field. We have a strong young Music dance, media artist who can capture the appeal of the youths in Europe.We are diverse in our Make up have Zimbabwean - Britsh, Uk citizens,Irish,Maltese,German, Swedish involved in the running of CCIF. We are visionaries and are passionate in what we do and want to achieve. We strongly believe in sharing experiences and participating in like events. We have indepth experience in Event managemnt and planning. We have variied experience working for organisations like World bank,World vision international, ESF projects, NGOs, Civil service. We are dynamic and have a herat to impact the destiny of our youths. We are willing to learn form others too.

General Information
Din l-Art Helwa is a voluntary non-governmental heritage organization founded in1965. It is wholly funded by members’ annual subscriptions and private sponsorship. The Council is elected every two years and all serve on a voluntary basis. The organisation has taken on the role of the island’s senior heritage organisation and is highly respected locally and abroad as a result of its successful campaigns and restoration work of the country’s traditional and historical heritage and culture. The organisation has 2 full-time employees and numerous volunteers.
Mission and Objectives

The main objective of DLH is to safeguard the natural, historic and cultural environment of Malta and Gozo. DLH promotes cultural exchanges and projects between local and foreign institutions. The Association is a member of Europa Nostra, the European Network of National Heritage Organisations and ICOMOS (MALTA), and is affiliated to various international heritage organisations.

Main Projects / Activities

Since its foundation in 1965 DLH has campaigned for the protection of the Maltese environment. It has restored, and still maintains, some 20 monuments and sites. More recently the organisation has embarked on an afforestation project thereby entering the field of natural conservation. Further projects are currently in the pipeline. A series of monthly lectures on various themes is organized annually, as are cultural tours to various historical sites. The organisation’s publication ‘Vigilo’ is issued twice a year and communicates the activities carried out to members and the general public. The youth section of the organisation seeks to instil the love of heritage in tomorrow’s citizens. A Heritage Badge is awarded to Scouts who carry out various tasks related to DLH activities.

The Eden Foundation is a non-government organisation established in 1992 which works in partnership with people with developmental disabilities in order to help them achieve full inclusion. The Eden Foundation is an established educational facility for specialized programmes & learning incentives that are second to none. It offers therapy and educational programmes to more than 1000 children and 200 adults. Its governed by a board of Trustees under the presidency of Dr. Josie Muscat. The annual expenditure of the Eden Foundation is Lm800000. Of these the parents shoulder 10% and 30-40% is raised through fund-raising activities and donations. The state pays for the rest

The Euro-Med Movement is coordinated by: a) Governing Board made up of professionals, university students and young workers, b) a number of volunteers that implement projects and activities through the setting up of ad hoc project teams. Budgetary resources depend mostly on sponsorships and direct funds by the European Commission in relation to projects themselves which include seminars, meetings, training courses and publications. The Euro-Med Movement is affiliated to international networks such as United against racism, Euro-Med platform and a list of partners throughout the region.
Mission and Objectives

The Movement’s aims and objectives are listed in a manifesto encompassing the main principles on which it is founded. It pays particular attention to issues of Freedom, Equality and Solidarity. Through its operations and statements, the Euro-Med Movement tries to foster a sense of unity and peace within society, including policy-makers and young people. It works through regional cooperation in the Mediterranean and likewise is in favour of strengthening ties between the European Union and all countries bordering this region. The EMM encourages the implementation of regional cooperation projects that are financed by the European Union and other institutions.

Main Projects / Activities

In order to achieve its goals, the Euro-Med Movement takes an active role by organising local and European-wide seminars for young people on topical issues such as social tension and conflict in the Euro-Med region. It also issues regular press-statements on current affairs, whilst holding meetings with political and diplomatic corps to voice the Movement’s concern on sensitive areas principally on matters of foreign policy. On a local level, it empowers young people to take part in exchanges hosted by European and Mediterranean partners, as well as disseminating information related to the European Union.

General Information
It is our intention that the EMUI_Malta becomes a Euro-Mediterranean academic center that can offer Degrees Studies of the universities and research institutions of the Consortium. We are going to work in the framework of the European Union, the Maghreb and Middle East. The provisional model we intend to be is a Tuition Centre, just like our main partner in Malta, the London School of Economics and Political Science. In the close future, the EMUI intends to formally become a Public and International University, as originally planned and recognized by the Anna Lindh Foundation. SOCIAL COUNCIL The Board / Social Council is as well composed of representatives with strong experience in public and private institutions, which will assume political, economical or academic responsibility in the EMUI. The constitution of the Board / Social Council must contemplate a tripartite composition: From the political side, a representation of the Malta Government, the Malta Parliament and the European Commission Representation in Malta, as well as the diplomatic corps accredited in the Republic of Malta. Mission and Objectives

1. To develop teaching and research quality programs focused on the European Union and its projection upon the Mediterranean Area.
2. To form professionals in every area of punctual interest for European and Euro-Mediterranean institutions. These professionals will meet the standards of quality set by social, political and economic sectors involved.
3. To offer programs of continuous education for updating knowledge and basic skills of the above referred professionals.
4. To foster the spreading of results through specialized media. There will be also a presence in general media, according to the interests of their users.
5. To draw up proposals of continuous education through courses, seminars or conferences that will be available to any citizen, with the purpose of guaranteeing accurate and critical information on the ongoing development of the EU, particularly in relation to Mediterranean issues.
6. To advise public and private institutions on the aforementioned issues. Consultant panels will be set up to pursue this goal.
7. To set up institutional teaching and research networks, with or without extra-communitarian partners, in order to improve the spreading of results. It will be also be a target to establish partnerships with other institutions in order to create local, regional or communitarian programs to be developed at the affected geopolitical areas.

Europe Direct Mosta is an information/communication office run by a board of directors with each one of them bringing in a specialised field, assisted by a small team of assistants. EDO Mosta was opened following the award of a contract by the European commission to provide information to the Maltese public concerning EU issues . EDO Mosta is active in fields of funding, culture, media, social issues, environment, information, tourism, agriculture, seminar/conferences organisation and training, bringing together a number of experts collaborating together to offer the top services required from our clients. We believe that our role on the market is to provide clients with a customised, one-to-one service where their business needs are understood and fulfilled qualitatively. With this, our vision is to be quoted as the leaders in providing a comprehensive package covering consultancy services.

EDO Mosta Organizes activities related to the European Commission and is the direct point of contact between the community of Malta and the European commission, offering advice, information etc both to the Maltese public, SME’s, NGO’s, schools and also to European citizens who require information about Malta.

The services offered consist of highly integrated yet distinct areas that are vital for businesses aspiring towards the consolidation, growth or diversification of their company processes.

Moreover, we also undertake the organisation of conferences and events, training sessions and product launches. They have numerous years of experience in this field and are channelling it into this new organization.

General Information
The Faculty of Theology is the oldest faculty at the State University of Malta. It was set up in 1592 as part of the original nucleus that constituted the University of Malta. a) It is governed by the Faculty Board in accordance with the University statutes and the Educational Act of Malta. The Faculty of Theology has six departments, around 35 permanent members of staff and over 400 students. Its main budgetary funding comes from the state and from NGOs. The Faculty of Theology is member of a number of International Organisations and participates actively in EU educational programmes
Mission and Objectives

In line with its long tradition as a Faculty within the University, it pursues higher studies of the foundational texts and the development of Christianity in relation to other religions and world views, especially those that have flourished around the Mediterranean, and collaborates with other Faculties and Institutes of the University in such fields as those of Mediterranean studies and professional ethics.
As a Faculty of Theology enjoying canonical recognition, it seeks to help in the continuing renewal of the Church and its presence in society through the appraisal and interpretation of the Christian tradition, including Church structures, in accordance with the relevant ecclesial criteria for theological studies and research; it also provides appropriate courses of studies for Church ministry and other related work.

Main Projects / Activities

One of the main projects of the Faculty of Theology is the setting up of a Network of Mediterranean Religions. The main activity of this network is to promote inter-religious dialogue and intercultural dialogue. The principal objects and activities of the Network will be
• To facilitate communication between centres, programmes and individuals working in inter-religious dialogue in a Mediterranean or a Euro-Mediterranean perspective;
• To promote the study of the three monotheistic religions as a common spiritual heritage in the history of Mediterranean civilization;
• To promote the dialogue between the three monotheistic religions as well as between religious and secular world-views as a basis for common action and peace in the Mediterranean region.
