Mission and Objectives

Vision "We look forward to the advancement of the local community and the reaching of the social balance." Mission WSCR is working on community rehabilitation and development through providing social, educational, and psychological equal services to several targeted beneficiaries. Goal Achieving community-based sustainable development through programs that meet the Palestinian society's needs. Objectives • Enhancing the psychosocial well-being of targeted groups (children, women, youth, and elderly). • Rehabilitation of youth to act leading and vital role in building up the community. • Developing and improving the personal and professional skills and capabilities of youth and graduates to meet labor market demands. • Contributing to enhance children abilities and develop their behaviors and skills. • Support and enable women to enhance their community participation. • Enhancing the principles of citizenship and respect, and avoiding the intellectual and political fanaticism. • Contributing to enhance the principles of democracy and national peace, and human rights for targeted groups. • Activating the role of Palestinian family in enhancing the humanity values, empowering the concepts of family dialogue and full families, and strengthening marriage relations. • Investment of experiences and capabilities of elderlies through enhancing their community participation. • Identification of community needs and problems throughout studies, researches, and questionnaires. • Enhancing the voluntary participation in the institutional and community work.

1. El-Funoun is composed of seventy-five volunteer members. There is one full time employee – director, and one part time employee – assistant director. 2. Administrative budget = $44,000 , and the project budget = $52,000 3. El-Funoun's main funding comes from ticket revenue and international tours. In addition, El-Funoun gets funding from international donor organization for its productions.

Mission and Objectives

We seek to offer in-kind assistance in such a distinguished and professional way . we provide the marginalized Groups (children , woman and handicapped people ) with needed community awareness programs this comes to ameliorate the less fortunate group living conditions as well as to promote concepts of civil society and advocacy .

The organization is governed by the board of directors which consists of nine members, and they are meeting twice monthly. Those board of director are elected by the general assembly, that is consisting of 270 member, and they are meeting at least once annually. Mission and Objectives

General mission:
To improve the quality of life of the disabled clients by offering proper services in a specialized rehabilitation centre within the Gaza Strip.
Objectives
• To help the disabled clients achieve their maximal possible potential regarding physical, mental, and behavioral abilities.
• To secure essential medical aid for disabled clients so they can achieve independence in functional activities
• To increase awareness of the disabled clients and their families regarding disability related complications and how to prevent them.
• To achieve integration of the disabled clients within the outer community.
• To empower the disabled clients to formulate unions and achieve their rights in the community.
• To raise community awareness of and participation in prevention of disabilities.
• To improve the living conditions of disabled clients through our different rehabilitation programs.
• To encourage voluntary work and enhancing community participation in the rehabilitation process.
• To enhance co-operation with other rehabilitation institutions to improve the quality of rehabilitation services in the Gaza Strip.
Our center is the only body that provides the distinctive and holistic approach of medical rehabilitation from A to Z, till our patients achieve their maximal possible functional potentials in performing their daily living activities.
Our facilities include surgical operation rooms, clinical laboratory, x ray department, ICU, recovery rooms, physiotherapy department, occupational therapy department, inpatient departments with 82 beds capacity, and outpatient clinics. We operate with 300 health professionals and admin staff

El Wafa charitable society ( WCS ) is a nonprofit NGO that was established since 1982.
WCS runs El Wafa elderly nursing (WEN) home with 35 beds capacity where it shelters free
of charge needy aged social cases who has no breadwinner to look after. WCS also runs Elwafa
medical rehabilitation hospital (WMRH) with a capacity of 50 beds in which physically
challenged persons are medically rehabilitated

General Information

El-Wedad Society for Community Rehabilitation (WSCR) is a nonprofit nongovernmental organization. It was established in March, 2001 to provide psychosocial and educational rehabilitation services, in addition to the development of the local community in Gaza Strip. It mainly targets children, women, youth, and elderlies where they receive equal services including training, counseling, guidance, and awareness in psychosocial and educational fields.

Main Projects / Activities

A. Women and Child Support and Rehabilitation Program: A.1 Objectives: • Enhancing educational, social, and behavioral capabilities of children; • Raising parents' awareness of different children's issues; • Raising women's awareness of their social and psychological issues and rights; • Empowering the role of women in Palestinian society; • Working on enhancing civil society's principles among women and children. A.2 Target Groups: This program targets children - up to 15 years old - and women. A.3 Program Achievements The Projects' services were provided to 12,580 beneficiaries who had direct services from the projects under “Women and Child Support and Rehabilitation Program”. Gender percentage in this program is 52%. B. Rwad Youth Development Forum: B.1 Objectives: • Enhancing the social, educational and leadership capabilities of youth; • Increasing youth's participation in various fields; • Supporting community and youth initiatives; • Enhancing youth culture and principles of the civil society; • Encouraging voluntary inspiration among youth. B.2 Target Groups: The program targets male and female youths aged 18 to 30 years old. B.3 Program Achievement The Projects' services were provided to 6,926 beneficiaries who had direct services from the projects under the “Rwad Youth Development Forum”. C. Program of social and economic support of family & elderly C.1 Objectives: • Rehabilitating and enabling of Palestinian family to strengthen marriage relations and have families' relations based on love and understanding; • Enhancing community's values and principles among families; • Reintegrating elderlies in the Palestinian community and enabling them to play their roles in their community; • Decreasing the psychosocial problems among elderlies; • Studying negative social phenomena in the community in order to facilitate any possible intervention and elimination. C.2 Target Group: The program targets couples, families, and elderlies in the Palestinian society. C.3 Program Achievement Projects' services were provided to 6,540 beneficiaries from the projects under “Program of social and economic support of family”. Gender percentage in this program is 73%.
