General Information
The private limited company Bok & Mal, d. o. o., has been founded in 2010 in order to provide quality translation and interpreting services to the general public as well as professionals in different fields of research. Since its establishment, the company has carried-out several projects in cooperation with governmental and non-governmental organizations, especially from the Euro-Mediterranean region. The company employs two translators/interpreters and cooperates with several external professionals for different languages and fields of expertise. Funding depends on the number of projects carried-out. Due to the implementation process of translation and interpreting services in the Euro-Mediterranean region, the need to develop new language tools in order to improve the dialogue between cultures has arisen. Therefore, the company will develop and provide new language tools in the near future, aimed especially at NGOs and the civil society.
Mission and Objectives

Bok & Mal, d. o. o., has always been focused on the needs of NGOs as well as the private sector. Therefore, we offer comprehensive language solutions for different fields of activity, focusing especially on intercultural exchange and cooperation between nations and cultures in the Euro-Mediterranean region. We will develop language tools and methods for both sectors and become one of the leading providers of such solutions in the region. Furthermore, we want to stimulate and foster intercultural dialogue between citizens. Providing mutual understanding between people is, at the same time, our main mission and objective.

Main Projects / Activities

We offer different language services (translation, interpreting, proof-reading, text formation etc.) to the public and private sector, whereas our services are especially tailored for NGOs. Since 2010, we have cooperated with several organizations, institutions, companies and individuals on projects addressing different topics of intercultural cooperation and dialogue.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Bok & Mal, d. o. o., would be the first member of the Slovenian network to offer and provide comprehensive language solutions to the whole network. Slovenia, one of the smallest countries in the world, lays at the most important cultural crossroads in Europe and could, therefore, develop into a hub for specific language solutions tailored for different sectors and users. At Bok & Mal, d. o. o., we are truly convinced that we are capable to provide language support to the whole Slovenian network and, consequently, improve communication between countries, regions and people.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

The founders of Bok & Mal, d. o. o., have always been and still are active in the NGO field. Therefore, the company strongly believes that NGOs play a crucial role in the shaping of a better future for everyone. As we are developing new language tools and methods on how to improve communication between nations and cultures, the exposure to such a big network can only result in synergies for all members, independently of their legal status and country of origin.
