The primary goal of Stories of Palestine is to strengthen society's resilience, especially among women and young people, by promoting art and culture. Serving as the 3 year project’s culmination, the Stories of Palestine project was a resounding success, encapsulating the spirit and creativity of the Palestinian people. The day began with an open house and bazaar featuring local products and handicrafts, offering a platform for artisans to showcase their work. Alongside this, film screenings of 12 captivating short films enriched the cultural experience. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a cooking workshop that immersed them in the vibrant flavors and culinary traditions of Palestine.
A musical exchange between Palestinian and Viennese music students, led by Marwan Abado on the Oud and Sofia Labropoulou on the Kanun, created a harmonious fusion of musical traditions and a sense of cross-cultural connection. As the day progressed, an evening feast of Palestinian cuisine and a vernissage, showcasing visual art, further enriched the cultural tapestry of the event. The grand finale featured a mesmerizing concert with Marwan Abado, Sofia Labropoulou, and music students from Palestine and Vienna, demonstrating the power of music to bridge cultures and touch hearts.
