3e édition du Project Design Forum pour le Luxembourg et la Grande Région

Le Project Design Forum donne aux citoyens, aux associations et à d’autres organisations la possibilité de concevoir conjointement des projets et de collaborer à des demandes de projets en vue de recevoir un financement, principalement dans le cadre de programmes de l’Union européenne. Le forum permet ainsi de présenter, de développer et d’approfondir des idées de projets, de rejoindre d’autres projets et de recevoir un soutien direct des points de contact des différents programmes communautaires, sans qu’il y ait pour autant une « obligation de résultat ».

Etaient représentés les programmes Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV), Erasmus+, Europe créative, Interreg Grande Région, Interreg North-West Europe et Interreg Europe ainsi que la Anna Lindh Foundation. Pour les organisateurs, c’était l’occasion de présenter les possibilités de financement qu’offrent les six programmes communautaires aux citoyennes et citoyens européens. Des présentations, des tables thématiques et des tables « programmes » ainsi que des brochures et des flyers informaient sur les modalités d’un tel projet citoyen. Les présentations et les discussions étaient en anglais et en français mais des explications étaient aussi données en luxembourgeois et en allemand.

L’évènement se clôturait à l’heure de midi par un repas léger et des boissons ce qui permettait de poursuivre les échanges dans un cadre informel et convivial. Une 3e édition est prévue pour l’automne 2023.

Action Group against Racism and Discrimination

The Action Group against Racism and Discrimination was organised within the framework of the "Building Together" project. The aim of the workshop was to sensitize young people about Human Rights, the fight against racism and the fight against discrimination.

Participants learned valuable skills that will positively impact our community. They deepened their knowledge in Human Rights education and developed effective strategies to combat discrimination. They are now better equipped to engage actively in the fight against racism in Luxembourg. Young people also developed methods of educating their peers on important topics such as fighting racism and discrimination.

The project is supported by the Department of Integration of the Ministry of Families, Integration and the Greater Region and co-financed by the European Union.

General Information

The Alliance for Global Development is a network of four organizations working in the area of
global development. The Alliance seeks to harmonize the working of each of the organization
embedded in the system in a manner that enables each unit's values offering to actualize the United
Nations' sustainable goals and thereby contribute meaningfully to reducing the plight of the most
vulnerable, impact social inclusion especially the difficulty of illegal migration and displacement of
people from third world countries. The Alliance uses the multicultural teaching approach to
educate leaders of non-governmental organizations and engages stakeholders in a multi-level dialogue
to bridge the gap of economic and social development through learning and sharing of best practices
with each other. A group of 9 energetic volunteers team manages AGD learned and dedicated mid-aged professionals comprising governance and human rights expert, engineers, architects, social inclusion experts, and international relations experts who design and manage projects in several areas including Technical and Vocation Education Training, Leadership and Entrepreneurship development. The team syncs every minor detail mandatory to achieve the desired objective in the life cycle of our programs – thereby advancing the concept of
social behavior value of life for all participating in our events as we drill to bridge the widening gap
of social inequality. Our member's organization is NGO Nest Berlin, Intercultural Youth Dialogue Association, Institute for Sustainable Education and Development (ISEDE e.V), Association IMPRESS, Croatia , HELLENIC YOUTH PARTICIPATION, ASSOCIAZIONE MULTIETNICA DEI MEDIATOR INTERCULTURAL,
Association STRIM, Youth BCN, UNGDOMSFRONTEN, AKDENIZ EGITIM VE ISTIHDAM DERNEGI, MV INTERNATIONAL, SYSTEM & G FINLAND RY.

The currently budgetary provisions for 2020 are about 375, 000 Euros for staffers and administrative related expenses including specific project-based funding. The sources of funding come from the European Union and partnership in youth mobility and strategic partnership project management.

Mission and Objectives

Our overall vision is to create a new generation with the concept of global citizenship promoting the elements of economic democracy which we are sure will enhance the promotion of world peace, limit hate speech, discrimination, and racism amongst people of the world.

Our Objectives:

- Establish, promote and support social awareness of the importance of sustainable action and contribute to the implementation of international sustainability strategies,
- Promote a better understanding of different nations and cultures,
-Promote peace among the key competencies of other countries in terms of intercultural understanding through the participation of young people and civic education,
- Seek to affirm the value of each human being with their own origins and cultures,
- Seek to enhance its fundamental principles in each of its programs: dignity, respect for differences, understanding, and tolerance.

Main Projects / Activities

AGD's objectives are notably achieved by the following activities:
• International education, youth and cultural exchanges on sustainability issues, in particular in the field of environmental protection and development cooperation,
• Institutional support to organizations working on the SDGs (sustainable development goals), namely sustainable/global development,
•Promotion of science and research as well as art and culture by supporting the art-science dialogue as a means and expression of a sustainable transfer of knowledge,
•Reinforcement of positive discourses on sustainability issues, in particular education and environmental protection, through the participation and organization of events and conferences.

Main Projects in 2020:
1-AGD participated this year in a TRAINING OF TRAINERS project: Facilitating "hot potato" topics with multicultural groups as part of Erasmus + KA1 - Learning mobility of individuals Mobility of Youth Workers. The aim of this project is to support the capacity building of partner organizations through the professional development of youth workers, youth leaders, and trainers in the field of dialogue facilitation with multicultural groups.
2- Entrepreneurship to Empower project: This project started in February 2020. The aim of this project is to address the identification of existing best practices and the development of support schemes for the
transmission of attitudes, skills, and competences of Social Entrepreneurship to disadvantaged young people (NEETs) in partner countries and at the European level.

Project in 2021:

"Erasmus Me" project: this project aims to answer and satisfy identified needs of our partner organizations and colleagues youth workers, leaders and trainers and support them in development of competencies needed for the development of high-quality inclusive projects under the Erasmus+ program, first of all, activities within Key Action 1 (training and youth exchanges). the purpose of this project is to support capacity building of partner organizations and provide needed knowledge and support the development of competences of youth workers/leaders/trainers related to project management within theErasmus+ program, with the accent of development of inclusive projects and providing more mobility and learning opportunities for young people.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

The filed experience of our team can be mainly used as a co-ordination channel between the ALF's NGO members. Our aim is to build up and exchange our local and international expertise, improving the developing activities service, and being more competitive.
As a new umbrella organization, we aim to work with other network partners to help young people to gain skills such as leadership, project management, NGO work, application writing, and fundraising. As a hub for 4 NGOs working in different domains, we are specialized in developing skills for young and future leaders.

 Alliance for Global Development AGD are being manage by a group of energetic, well-structured and dedicated mid aged Members whom always seek various and developmental projects on a global scale in several different youth fields and target markets. AGD blends all arts and sciences to support the development of all its programs enhancing awareness through allocating the essential and necessary resources required for every designed program by and for the entrepreneurship sector. The team and Management at AGD sync together every minor detail mandatory to achieve a desired objective within a program set by any development entity seeking to add social behaviour value to a life by the prime concept of drilling to bridge. The idea is always creating a new generation with the concept of Global Citizen which will promote for the world peace, no hate speech, no  discrimination and no racism. We are part of networks of a huge organizations such as Mine vaganti in Italy, Intercultural Youth Dialogue Association and comparative research network in Germany and foreign students in Luxembourg. After all we are trying to coop with the idea of sustainability especially the SDGs of the united nations as well as the integration of refugees and youth participation as these are the main themes for us.

EDUCATION
At AGD we are highly concerned about the human well-being in mind, thus education always comes as our number one priority when we get to engage to shape one’s own academic future, we focus on non formal education in topics related to the day to day needs, also the Adult Education and Vocational Education Traininsg are both a big focus of our main objectives and mission.

Main Projects / Activities

For the time being AGD is responsible of implementing two big European Projects :
1-Strategic Partnership in the field of Youth (Entrepreneurship To Empower ENTEM)
"Entrepreneurship to Empower" (ENTEM) addresses the identification of existing best practices and the development of support schemes for the transmission of attitudes, skills and competences of Social Entrepreneurship to disadvantaged young people (NEETs) in partner countries and at the European level.
The project objectives will be achieved by exchange of ideas, practices and knowledge between the partners and joint work in the elaboration of 3 educational modules as following:
1. Personal Empowerment –an educational module which will seek to accompany youngsters on a self-development path and will cover the following subjects - What is a personal empowerment, developing a personal vision, setting personal goals, planning personal development, job employability, entrepreneurial employability
2. Community surrounding – an educational module which will seek to make youngsters aware about their wider surroundings, foster connections and increase awareness on how they can relate to their communities through social initiatives.
3. Social enterprise– an educational module which seeks to develop youngster’s knowledge and skills in the development social innovation activities within their communities.
2-Training of Trainers under Erasmus Youth Mobilities:
AIM of this project is to support capacity building of partner organizations through professional development of youth workers, youth leaders and trainers in the field of dialogue facilitation with multicultural groups.
In addition AGD is preparing two major strategic partnerships in the field of Adult education and VET, which aims to dialogue among European Organizations regarding Citizenship issues, the second one is to empower migrant females in 6 European countries to create their own start up business related to sustainable food industries.

AGD with its European Network can contribute a lot in the education sector, exchange best practise among the ALF member organizations will be a great asset and we are confident to be able to contribute to the ALF general mission and objectives

Amitié Plurielle Luxembourg a.s.b.l. is an intercultural and intergenerational organization.
Amitié Plurielle - Luxembourg a.s.b.l., was founded in 1969 to promote better relations between Portuguese speakers and Luxembourgers. It is therefore one of the first Luxembourg associations to work in the field of Migration.

Association sans but lucratif avec un bureau exécutif constitué de 10 personnes et une cinquantaine de membres adhérents. Ayant seulement une année d'activité, l'association bénéficie néanmoins d'un budget de 3000 euros. Le financement de l'association se fait à travers les frais d'adhésion des membres et les bénéfices dégagés lors de l'organisation d’évènements ou les projets. L'association compte organiser des débats et des conférences participatifs impliquant les tunisiens mais aussi toutes les autres nationalités désireuses de mieux s'informer et d'échanger. A coté des évènements gastronomiques permettant aux gens de découvrir les spécialités culinaires tunisiennes, l'association va organiser des cours d'arabe et des ateliers pratiques. L'association a souvent collaboré avec le CCRN, la maison des associations, le CLAE.

Notre contribution au réseau FAL luxembourgeois se fera à travers une aide logistique. Les membres de notre association se mobiliseront dès que le réseau entreprend un projet. On compte également contribuer à travers l'apport de nouvelles idées et le lancement de projets novateurs.

Le réseau du FAL Luxembourg réunit des associations partenaires, avec lesquels nous avons déjà collaboré avec sucées. General Information

Amities Luxembourg - Armenie a.s.b.l. (ALA) was registered at the beginning of 2016. The president of the organization is Mr. Samvel Arakelian, who is responsible for the general operations of the NGO. The key staff members are:
Seg Kirakossian is the project coordinator of the ALA. He is in charge of the project management several components: general, creative, IT and technical support. He is specialized in filmmaking and media production, leading training projects for different organizations, among them the US-based MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL (MSI). Since 2012 he is working as a trainer of media production and peace education, implemented workshops and trainings in Armenia, Luxembourg, Italy, Sweden, Czech Republic etc.
Taguhi Kharatyan is the coordinator of international educational projects. She is responsible for the organization’s educational activities as well as for finding partners, creating effective cooperation, and monitoring the quality of ALA participation in the projects.
Usually, the annual budget is approximately 100.000 EUR and the main sources of funding are Erasmus Plus programme and several national grants. ALA’s main activities are long term training courses, youth exchanges, seminars and conferences. ALA is cooperating with many national and international organizations, mainly from EU, MEDA and EECA member countries.

Mission and Objectives

The mission of the ALA is to assist and strengthen the Luxembourgish society where cultural diversity is respected and valorized, and where people from different cultural backgrounds work hand in hand for the solution of global problems and sustainable development.
Aims and objectives of the organization:
Promotion of intercultural, inter-religious and inter-civilization dialogue;
Consolidation of the potential of representatives of different cultures for the solution of global challenges;
Promotion of the cultures and sub-cultures represented in Luxembourg.
Organization of various international youth projects in the framework of the programs of Council of Europe and European Commission

Main Projects / Activities

Despite the ALA was registered at the beginning of 2016 but the initiative group started its activities already in 2014 when the 3 of the representatives of the Armenian community in Luxembourg participated in the “No hate speech” campaign of the Council of Europe. As a follow-up idea, the initiative group of the organisation implemented a raising awareness campaign on combating hate speech. The organisation started several workshops on intercultural learning in the frame of which representatives of the different cultural, language, national and religious communities of Luxembourg had an opportunity to present the singularities of their cultures and try to find commonalities with the others. Since the initiative group of the organisation consists of youth workers, trainers of human rights education and intercultural learning specialists, ALA develops its methodological toolbox for the realization of Intercultural Learning activities and has developed several exercises, handouts, presentations, simulations, role-plays and other tools for intercultural, inter-faith and other types of activities.

Some of the previous projects:
“InFormalBasic Course” long-term training course (2018)
The main aim of the training course was the integration of a non-formal education approach to the formal education system for youth empowerment at the local level. It was an attempt to use non-formal education (NFE) to build a productive co-working platform for educators coming from formal education and the youth field. This training course was the third edition of “InFormal” project. Its idea was developed due to the experience and learning outcomes of the first 2 versions of InFormal and it was adjusted to the feedback and evaluation of the participants as well as general assessment by the project team.

“CommunicART” long term project (2019)
The main aim of the long term project CommunicART was to foster non-violent communication in the educational process addressing current challenges such as intercultural dialogue in the work with people coming from rural areas or preventing the radicalization of young people through music and drama as effective tools.

Facilitation Guide long term project (2019)

This long term training course was focused on building on facilitation skills targeting all types of educators working in the formal or non-formal educational sphere. Facilitation skills are often taken or educators have to learn them by practice, often instinctively. However, facilitation is an essential generic skill and it is hard to overestimate the importance of it in the group (learning) process. This long-term course was an attempt to give a structured approach to the art of facilitation among educators.

“WomInPower” long term project (2019-2021)

The aim of project "WomInPower” is the empowerment of on different levels: at the individual level, to support the creation of their autonomy and economic independence, and on the social level, to promote their equal access to political, social power and to the power enabling the forming of opinion. We are sure that the process of empowerment should be started by the youth workers and our project idea is to support them in this. The project is aimed to promote young women entrepreneurship by empowering youth workers from different countries with project development and implementation competencies.

ARTinclusive long term project (2019-2021)

Human rights practitioners prove that theatre is used as a powerful tool in human rights work and theatre exercises and tools have been particularly useful for groups and communities that are looking to solve their problems. Yet, despite this, one of the biggest "minority" groups of our world, people with special needs are limited in their possibilities to use this powerful tool. The idea of the project is to provide a space for youth workers to experience, exchange and develop new methodologies for implementing activities in the local reality for the inclusion of people with special needs by using theatre and performance arts. We have realized that even those who involve young people with special needs in their training courses or local activities never asked themselves such questions: How inclusive can we be in our creativity? Creative activities and self-expression can so often seem off-limits to many people – and this includes the world of theatre equally.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

The target group of ALA is not only Armenians living in Luxembourg, but also other cultural and national minorities. After becoming a member of Anna Lindh Foundation network we will organize more offline and online activities to share and spread three main purposes that ALF believes in. ALA is planning to organize info sessions for other organizations in Luxembourg about the Anna Lindh Foundation, the possibilities it provides. During our future projects that will be funded by the ALF we will include the logo of the foundation on our promotional materials to raise visibility in this way as well. Despite this, we will follow the projects financed by AFL and implemented by other organizations to share the best results through our social media accounts.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

The Amities Luxembourg - Armenie a.s.b.l. is a relatively new organization but our team consists of experienced professionals working in the fields of education, human rights, integration and intercultural learning. We believe that it’s important to foster intercultural, interreligious and international competences, develop dialogue between the countries, minority and majority groups. We are very interested in becoming member of the ALF Luxembourg Network as during our experience of cooperation with the Heads of the ALF Networks in Jordan and Slovenia realised that there is a great potential of networking with the organisations that share the same values as the ALA. Our EuroMed experience was limited in cooperation with the organisations from Egypt, Jordan and Turkey, but we are interested in enlarging our network and promote the values of Democracy, Dialogue and Diversity.

From 30 January to 1 February 2023, the ALF organised a face to face meeting of the Heads of Network coordinators in Marseille, France, in collaboration with the Heads of French ALF Network, Les Têtes de l'Art and ALDA - European Association for Local Democracy.

Forty participants from thirty countries engaged in fruitful discussions to assess the recent work of the ALF, address challenges in its management and governance, and develop the future programming of the Foundation.

L'association a pour objet de faire la promotion de la culture berbère à
différents niveaux: faire découvrir l'histoire et la civilisation berbère en organisant
des colloques, des expositions,
Faire la promotion des différents travaux artisanaux confectionnés par des femmes
des villages berbères du Maghreb (des bijoux, de la poterie, des peintures, des
vêtements traditionnels] en organisant des expositions,
Organiser des rencontres littéraires, des café débats, conférences;
Organiser des rencontres artistiques, des ateliers, artisanat de toute sorte
Faire découvrir la gastronomie berbère
Organiser et mettre en place des actions de développement et d'échange culturels
avec les régions berbères du Maghreb
L'association a pour objet toutes actions qui concourent à la promotion et au
développement de la culture Berbère.
Toute activité qui a vocation à favoriser l’insertion-socio professionnelle, la
diversité et l’inclusion pour les publics reconnus comme appartenant à une classe
minoritaire.

The aim of the project is to provide young people with diverse perspectives, inspiration, and knowledge on human rights and related subjects, including social inclusion, participation, and diversity. Through the medium of art, particularly theater, cinema, and music, the project seeks to alter attitudes and establish inclusive social platforms for young individuals.

PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS

Young people from the social/cultural/language minority groups, willing to participate, learn and contribute to this project and the public performances; Young people involved in educational theatre and performance arts, active in working with young people with special needs on promotion of the human rights; Young people interested in developing their competences as promoter of the inclusive theatre; Young people that have willingness to disseminate project results among their organizations, communities and countries; Aged 18-28 (exceptions are possible); Committed to attend the full duration of the project; Are able to work in English.
