Christening of Ivan Mrázek's publication "Precious Stones of Anatolia, Dodecanese and Cyprus in Antiquity", which took place on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4:30 p.m. in Sir Roger Scruton's meeting room, 2nd floor, Komenského nám. 2, Brno.
Ivan Mrázek's new book is a free continuation (2nd volume) of the successful book Precious Stones of Ancient Civilizations, which included only the "main" civilizations of the world. The civilizations and cultures of Anatolia, the Dodecanese and Cyprus are no less remarkable. Representing the "bridge" between East and West, the territory has always been a lively crossroads of long-distance land and sea trade routes, a confluence of civilizational currents that brought new cultural and technological stimuli that interacted and intermingled. Precious stones have been a highly sought-after, highly valued symbol of beauty, rarity, wealth and power since time immemorial. Through them, we will get a glimpse into the exposed area, which played an important role in the history of mankind.

Attendees, drawn from a broad spectrum of professional backgrounds, engaged actively with the content, enhancing their skill sets and fostering a culture of continuous learning within their organisations. The initiative marks an important advancement in harnessing AI for operational excellence and innovation across the ALF network.
An AI focus group was organised at the Institute of International Relations, Prague in September 2024 to explore the use of AI tools in migrant and refugee support efforts. Participants are using tools like ChatGPT to generate social media content, images, and refine texts. Video editing, translation, and SEO optimisation for platforms like YouTube are also key areas of focus. There is ongoing effort to improve data analytics and use AI for brainstorming and PR content.
Despite available resources like ChatGPT Plus, there remains some hesitancy in fully adopting AI. Educational initiatives are being planned to address misconceptions and promote effective use of AI, with a focus on creating guidelines and best practices for prompting and digital literacy.
