General Information

The Institute for Future Research is a Turkey based leading think tank. As a non-profit organisation, we work with our national and international stakeholders to develop real-life strategies to provide local and global forecasts, and to guide complext challenges through special reseach and insight training. Our network has been expanded to include partnerships that give different perspectives and experiences to research, training and activities. Our members in many fields ranging from university professors to thought leaders and innovators help us work in the forefront of new ideas and practices worldwide.

We think and design the desired future. Our team transforms the visions pointed out by forecasts and scenarios into sustainable strategies that focus on development today. In order to minimize the uncertainties in shaping the future and increase the reliability of the decisions, we introduce our wide range of stakeholders early in our research.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

The Institute for Future Research creates future awareness in the community, especially in youth and students. We believe the future is not by chance but by working today to create it. Therefore, we provide futuristic foresight studies for organizations in order the minimize the uncertainties of the future, today. We provide trainings, seminars and field based talks to bring community and thought leaders and know-hows together.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We want to be able to communicate and join our know-how with other organizations in ALF Network. We believe future is not for a specific culture or country but for a cumulative approach and design. Therefore, we want to influence and get influenced by organizations in ALF Network and perform cooperative studies and projects to design a better future for all.

General Information
The Jewish Community of Turkey is de facto organized under the umbrella of the office of the Chief Rabbinate of Turkey. It is not an association or foundation but a well established internal leadership system dating from the Ottoman period. The community central body needs are covered with donations from members with the budget near 4M USD and comprises of extending support for Jewish education, support community organizations extend security assistance and maintain a body of Jewish religious and secular personnel for all community and other minor extras.
Mission and Objectives

The Jewish Community central body maintains official local and international relations on behalf of community; extends extra support to institutions such as the Jewish School in Istanbul and other youth based organizations whose budgets need extra assistance, makes sure that a basically harmonious system is maintained within community institutions, assists them with legal issues, maintains religious staff and core central staff and last but not least acts as the central authority of Turkish jewry extending help to Jewish Communities in cities other than Istanbul as well.

Main Projects / Activities

This body is the central source of co-organizations and creating informal partnerships with other Jewish Community institutions such as synagogues, the Shalom newspaper, the Jewish school for envisioned projects. European Jewish Culture Day, the Kara Kare Holocaust Films week, classical music concerts for the community in large, educational and or social & cultural organizations are originally planned and coordinated and/or actually worked on within this body.

General Information
The REC Country Office in Turkey started its operations in 2004 after signing the REC Charter in 2002 and the Bilateral Agreement between the Government of Turkey and the REC. REC Turkey works closely with all major stakeholders including the government, NGOs businesses and the finance sector. Thanks to its non-advocacy and non-partisan nature, it works at equal distance to all different sectors and stakeholders. Not only does it work actively in projects, it also contributes actively to ongoing national and international initiatives in attaining the goals of sustainable development through its different support programmes. REC Turkey believes in the importance of governance approach and multi-stakeholder participation in environmental decision-making processes.

THE THEMATIC MEETING ON YOUTH, WOMEN AND SOCIAL INNOVATION WAS HELD IN ESKİŞEHIR

Anna Lindh Foundation National Network Meeting was held in Eskişehir, Vecihi Hürkuş Aviation and Technology Park on December 9, 2023, with the participation of the foundation members.

 

The program started with the opening speech of Dr. Necdet Sağlam, continued with presentations prepared within the scope of Gender Equality Perspective, Women and Education in Turkiye, Social Innovation Group Report and Youth Unemployment. The presentations were made and reported in general for the purpose of identifying and eliminating the sources of the problems and determining the solutions.

 

Following the presentations, feedback was received on the topics presented with the active participation of valuable guests, evaluations were made and consultations were held on the planned projects.

mainly 7 persons employed. Also our foundation has about 20,000 voluntaries and they work in our foundation according to their profession. We have also 4 main groups namely Energy sector, construction sector, agriculture sector and informatics sector. Last year we applied successfully EU Giant project namely Golden Bracelet Vocational and technical Training. Also it was selected successful project by IS-KUR among 100 projects.
