Grace Davie

Professor Emeritus at the Department of Sociology in Exeter and member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for European Studies. Davie's expertise lies in the sociology of religion, with a particular emphasis on patterns of religion in Europe. Recently she has been involved in a variety of research projects, including 'Welfare and Values in Europe' and “Secularity as a European and International Phenomenon' which explores why Europe is the most secularized part of the modern world. Davie holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and an Honorary Doctorate from Uppsala University.
