Elisabeth Guigou

President of the Anna Lindh Foundation since 2015, was born in Marrakesh, Morocco. She served as French Minister of European Affairs (1990-1993), and was elected in 1994 as a Member of the European Parliament. In 1997, she became member of the French National Assembly and was appointed as the first woman Minister of Justice (1997-2000) before being Minister of Employment (2000-2002). She has been Regional councilor of the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Deputy-mayor of Noisy-le-Sec.
