*VM* “EuroMed Citizen Visions” as part of the “Long Night of Ideas 2021”
A National Network Activity has been organized by the Anna Lindh Foundation Head of National Network of Germany, ZAK | Centre for Cultural and General Studies, in the Framework of the Anna Lindh Foundation Virtual Marathon for Dialogue in the EuroMed.
"EuroMed Citizen Visions" is a 15 minutes live show offering a wide range of insights into civil society initiatives in Europe and the Mediterranean region.
„Citizen Reporters" from Libya, Egypt, Italy and Lebanon will present local activities and initiatives that convey hope, solidarity and visions of an active, diverse and agile international civil society. Whether it is neighbourhood help in Lebanon, a refugee hostel in Greece, a youth project from Libya or a children's library in Morocco - civil society projects are blossoming all over Europe and the Mediterranean, even during and sometimes in the wake of the pandemic.
This "best-of-show" of civil society initiatives in the Euro-Mediterranean region reflects how new creative forms of intercultural dialogue, active citizenship and social participation are initiated and shaped at the grassroots and local level – despite partially closed physical borders and limited opportunities for movement and encounter on the ground.
The launch of the show “EuroMed Citizen Visions” will take place under the Foreign Office "Long Night of Ideas 2021.
The "Long Night of Ideas 2021" serves as the launch for the virtual display of a large number of civil society initiatives on the project Website.
