*VM* Discord For Intercultural Dialogue
A National Network Activity has been organized by the Anna Lindh Foundation National Network of Cyprus PlanBe Plan it Be it in the Framework of the Anna Lindh Foundation Virtual Marathon for Dialogue in the EuroMed.
The main aim of this workshop is to address the objectives by providing the necessary knowledge to use the rising new communication tool called Discord and by facilitating Intercultural Dialogue through it. This application will serve as the mediator for Intercultural dialogue at the local, regional, national, and even EuroMed level, given that advantage of its functions will be taken. Limited social interaction due to the pandemic has given the population need for alternatives, thus by giving proper instructions on how to create and manage the own server, as well as the app itself as a server member, people will be able to forge new friendships, solidify their existing relationships and communicate with these peers in a more fun and user-friendly environment. Discord’s server functions can integrate translations, display user interests to find common grounds with other people, providing thematic chat rooms where users can engage in conversation on their common interests, and many more.
In the period from 2-7 June the Monitoring, Moderation, and Management of primary and secondary Discord servers will take place where multiple Discord servers fostering Intercultural Dialogue, as well as a main
the server will be created, uniting all members into one place.
