Giving young people a voice: recommendations

In 2023 - 2024, the CEMO and its young people took part in the ‘Prevention of disruptions in young people's lives’ project of the Brussels Forum Against Inequalities. The Forum brings together around fifty organisations active in the fight against social exclusion in the Brussels Region. It compiles dialogue with professionals, consultation with people living in poverty, support for political decision-making and cross-disciplinary analysis. By producing recommendations and solutions, our aim is to raise public and political awareness of the problems of poverty in the city. The latest issue of PAUVéRITé, written by Lucie Augsbourger, explores the issues of participation and taking into account the views of young people at risk. It highlights the importance of this approach in the implementation of public policies.

CEMO (Centre d’Education en Milieu Ouvert) is a Belgian organisation that has Individual socio-psychological support for young people as its main goal. You can read the full report here.
