The Organisation of European Programmes and Cultural Relations was founded in 2020 and aims to promote and disseminate contemporary Cypriot artistic creation, to support the Cypriot cultural agents in the pursuit of their European and international ambitions and to contribute in every possible way to the European and international cultural network.
The Organisation operates the Creative Europe Desk Cyprus, the National Contact Point for the "Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values" programme and the Innovation, Research and International Networking Actions in Creative and Cultural Sectors, among many other programs and tasks. At the same time, the main purposes of its establishment are the maximization of the absorption of European resources for the fields of culture from the programs of the European Union through the continuous support, training and empowerment of the artists and the bodies of the contemporary creation in Cyprus.
The Anna Lindh Foundation Cyprus Network, established in 2005, counts over 65 members. The growing Cyprus Network engages civil society organisations and other entities within the island in local, national, and regional cross-cultural cooperation and learning, reflecting the diversity of the Cypriot civic space and including members that are civil society organisations, private and public entities, research centres, and informal groups.
The aim of the Network is to create synergies and build bridges among citizens and to support and promote activities aiming at discovering and understanding multiculturalism both in Cyprus and the Euro-Mediterranean region. In line with the ALF mission and priorities, the Network promotes the development of synergies with organisations from all the countries where the Foundation has a presence, disseminates information about the opportunities and possibilities for cooperation and learning that are available, and organises member meetings, debates, capacity-building initiatives, and networking events.
