The Executive Committee of ReFAL met online on September 16 to define the future directions of the organization, marking the return to activities after the summer.

Among the topics discussed, we addressed the update of the Internal Regulations and the possible revision of the governance model to strengthen the participation of key institutions. The FAL Action Plan 2024-2025 was presented, including the identification of network experts on the three priority themes established during the previous phase: Youth and Democracy, New Narratives Against Polarization, and Strengthening Communities Facing New Vulnerabilities, as well as the organization of the ReFAL annual meeting in February 2025.

Additionally, a new communication strategy was announced, featuring the launch of a awareness campaign linked to the Global Forum against Racism and Discrimination organized by UNESCO, which will take place in Barcelona from December 9 to 11, 2024, along with the creation of a new Instagram account. The Committee also reviewed the Policy Paper "Youth Perspectives for Improving the Euromediterranean Region," which will be published soon.

Among the upcoming events, the Euromed Hate Speech Conference in October 2024, organized by IEMed in Barcelona, with the participation of Euromediterranean civil society entities, is noteworthy.

ReFAL continues its commitment to progress and collaboration in the Euromediterranean region, working on new strategies and projects aimed at generating significant impact.
