On 12th September 2024, an online training session titled "Overview of Different Types of Fundraising and Inspirational Examples from the Czech Republic and Abroad" was held on Google Meet, led by Jakub Múčka from Atlas of Today’s World. Running from 10:30 to 12:30, the training gave participants a fresh look at fundraising strategies, using examples from both the Czech Republic and abroad.

Jakub kicked off the session by explaining how to structure grant applications in a way that connects with social theories, helping to improve the chances of success. He then dived into various fundraising approaches—both traditional and modern—such as direct donations, corporate sponsorships, and crowdfunding, encouraging participants to explore multiple options.

The training also focused on different types of foundations and grants, particularly those available in the EU, USA, and Czech Republic. Jakub shared practical tips for reaching out to these organisations and building strong, long-term relationships with them. He backed this up with real-life success stories, which gave participants a clear sense of what’s possible.

In the final part of the session, participants shared their experiences, swapping ideas and best practices. The training provided practical, hands-on insights for anyone looking to strengthen their fundraising efforts in today’s competitive landscape.
