A new map-based online encyclopedia is being developed to provide a comprehensive overview of the current socio-political situation worldwide. This project aims to make complex global issues more accessible through a user-friendly format. The content will be created by a team of specialists from different countries, offering diverse and informed perspectives.
The first version of the encyclopedia has been prepared, covering three main themes: Global Issues, Russia, and A Decade of War in Ukraine. These initial entries provide valuable insights and context for understanding these significant topics.
The project is now inviting people to join its membership community. Members will have the opportunity to help complete the initial content and contribute to the development of an interactive socio-political world map, which will be an essential feature of the new encyclopedia.
As a nonprofit initiative, Atlas of Today’s World is primarily developed by a small group of volunteers. While the team has managed to create a prototype, the full development of this ambitious project requires broader involvement. The team invites the public to join their membership community to help create new topics, develop an interactive map, build partnerships, and expand the encyclopedia's reach. Additionally, there are opportunities for individuals to join the team and contribute internally to the project's growth.
