Mission and Objectives

According to the law of August 2 of 2000, RFI is charged to contribute to the diffusion of the French culture by the conception and the programming of radio diffusion sound emissions in French or in foreign language, designated to foreign audiences , also to the French people who lives abroad.
The company ensures the mission of information related to the French and International actuality .
Its book of missions and responsibilities defines the missions assigned to it.
It includes the cultural cooperation aspects and the training of professionals abroad.

Main Projects / Activities

RFI is the first French-speaking radio of international information which bradcast 24 on 24 in 20 languages. It diffuses over 400 hours of programs per week in the whole world.
Its training services « RFI Talent+ » has as mission to provide a support to the foreign radio stations in the field of organization and perfection of their staff.
RFI sponsors each year over 200 cultural , political and sporting manifestations .
The department of the cultural operations of RFI organizes the prize which aims to promote the new talents
