General Information

Founded in 2022 in Antalya, Turkey, the Old School Green Association is a burgeoning force in environmental and international cultural endeavors. Though young, the organization benefits from its founders' and key staff's substantial youth work expertise. Its dual mission aims to cultivate environmental awareness and international cultural values. They employ creativity, entrepreneurship, and international partnerships to foster their objectives. These include promoting sustainable practices, healthy living, gender equality, and cross-cultural understanding.

Fatma Nur Boz is the legal representative, project coordinator, and experienced Erasmus+ participant at Old School Green Association. Fluent in Japanese, English, Spanish, and Turkish, she's involved in diverse volunteering projects across Europe, Africa, and America. Her responsibilities range from project coordination to cultural awareness, social volunteering, and more. Zeynep Güliz Boz, a logistics management graduate, leads partnerships, while Doğukan Demircan, a culinary arts expert, oversees social media and project management. They collectively aim to expand knowledge and awareness through Old School Green Association, contributing to environmental sustainability, media literacy, and more with members and volunteers.

Mission and Objectives

The mission of the Old School Green Association is twofold. Firstly, they aim to cultivate a culture of knowledge and social cohesion that supports sustainable economic growth while preserving the environment. Secondly, they strive to actively engage young individuals in international Erasmus+ programs and other projects, equipping them with tools and opportunities to unleash their full potential.

Their objectives include increasing environmental awareness, supporting sustainable agricultural practices, promoting healthy living and well-being, fostering nature-friendly attitudes, encouraging cross-cultural respect, advocating for gender equality, empowering youth in technology, combating burnout syndrome, supporting young entrepreneurs, facilitating personal and professional growth, introducing the Erasmus+ program and the principles of European Citizenship, integrating disadvantaged individuals into active citizenship, providing financial literacy and economic awareness training, fostering a love for culture, art, and sports among youth, and organizing environmental activities with disadvantaged children groups to enhance their participation in life.

Main Projects / Activities

The Old School Green Association's main projects and activities focus on leveraging Antalya's unique geographical and cultural advantages. The city's agricultural history and arable soil structure inspire projects centered on sustainability, natural life protection, and agriculture. Antalya's tropical climate, coastlines, and tourism industry provide fertile ground for environmental and agricultural initiatives. The city's multicultural nature fosters social and cultural projects promoting intercultural interaction, social awareness, volunteering, and European citizenship. The association collaborates with local entities like Konyaaltı Municipality and Antalya Youth and Sports Directorate. Notable projects include "Be Attractive, Don't Be Addicted," addressing substance abuse; "Digital Education First AID Kit," enhancing online education skills; "Hug to Healthy Life," promoting healthy lifestyles; and "Don’t Read Analyze Deeply," improving media literacy skills. These initiatives demonstrate the association's commitment to diverse societal and environmental issues.
