General Information
Mtende Homecraft Foundation is a Malawian Non Governmental Organization established in 2001 and registered in 2003. Mtende exists to support vulnerable communities and community based organizations to develop a well informed and self sustainable community through advocacy, capacity building and coordination in various level of rural development. It is a non-governmental, independent, charitable and non-profit making organisation. Vision Seeing Community where lives of citizens are well transformed and able to respond to challenges of life for better rural livelihood. Mission Working in partnership with vulnerable communities and diverse them to overcome poverty, illiteracy, hunger and promotion of health among rural communities.
Mission and Objectives

MISSION
Working in partnership with vulnerable communities and diverse them to overcome poverty, illiteracy, hunger and promotion of health among rural communities.
GOAL
To improve lives of vulnerable communities through support, care and capacity building programmes in various areas of rural development.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
1. Provision of trainings, care, support and entrepreneurship in education sector.
2. Provision of capacity building inform of trainings and support to smallholder farmers.
3. Provision of health care and support to orphans and vulnerable communities.
4. Empowerment of vulnerable communities with vocational and entrepreneurial skills, gender and human rights.

Main Projects / Activities

Output 1;
• Increased number of vulnerable children especially girls to attain education and protection.
Associated activities
 Support vulnerable children with school basic needs.
 Renovate the dilapidated school blocks in selected schools.
 Support girl child in secondary schools with school fees and bursaries.

Output 2
• Increased youth access to vocational and entrepreneurship education.
Associated activities
 Conduct youth training in vocational, business management and entrepreneurship skills.
 Provide vocational learning materials and equipment
