Production and delivery of cultural services, conducting shows of Theater, development of cultural activities focusing on theater and cinema, preservation of cultural heritage, artistic and cultural training.
abT produces 3-5 Theatre shows per year, always putting focus on contemporary authors and developing a work of continuity among professionals and students of the performing arts University of Évora. Founded in 2002 it accounts, on this date, over 20 productions/creations made mostly from texts never represented in the national territory and, on occasion, with texts commissioned from emerging writers or classics of Portuguese literature. Likewise, the 'Sala d'abT' is a privileged space in the city context to host companies from different artistic fields (national and international). Out of the artistic field the 'Sala d'abT'is a space that serves the city and whoever wants to pursue other training initiatives, seminars, debates, etc...
