General Information
ACPP was founded on 1990. It’s represented in the 17 Spanish Autonomous Communities and in 15 developing countries across delegations. The modalities of action are through development projects in different fields, and also we work in social action in Spain and Europe through educational projects and awareness programmes. Our principal partners are the local associations of the countries where we work and European associations. The supreme organ of the ACPP is constituted by all its partners. The Board is the executive body of the ACPP. The number of staff employed is 155 persons and the number of partners is around 1.000 persons. The budgetary resources available in 2008 were of 20.261.998,15 euros. The sources of funding are 41,9% coming from autonomous institutions, 31,9% from state institutions, 16,3% from provincial and local institutions, 4,7% from European institutions, 2,4% from membership fees, 1,1% from sponsors and collaborators, and 1,7% from other sources.

Main Projects / Activities

The activities of ACPP are canalized into 4 main dimensions: Development projects in developing countries in Latin America, the Magreb, and the Middles East; Awareness raising; Education for values such solidarity, peace, tolerance, combating racism and xenophobia and promoting the awareness and the implementation for human rights in the European society; and support to immigrants and promotion of codevelopment.
During the last six years, ACPP has kept its original line of action, through expanding its development cooperation projects’ activities to new developing countries. At the same time, ACPP has expanded its raising awareness projects; its implementation of programs in primary schools and secondary schools, while developing programs to foster voluntary enlisting; and stimulating the active participation of citizens in the Spanish society.
We work in five geographic areas: West Africa, Caribbean, Central America, Mediterranean Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
