General Information

Mostaqbal Watan Center for Political and Strategic Studies was established in 2017 with two major aims in mind. first; to over high quality research for policy makers. second; to inform society about the different dimensions of policies, legislation and foreign actions taken by the Egyptian leadership. Since the begining of 2021, MWC started a policy of expansion and outreach that seeks to better engage with community and further interact globally. This encouraged us at MWC to plan different activities for capacity building that targets, youth, women and minorities in order to raise their awareness about their most urgent challenges and enhance their research and entrepreneurial skills. Globally, MWC seeks to build partnerships with different Global organization and think tanks to enhance its capabilites and enrich cultural dialogue.

MWC structure has a chairman, vice-chariman, 6 advisory professors and 12 research units covering topics of politics, foreign affairs, economy, media , sports, society, public opinion and legislation studies. MWC is primarily funded by MP Mohamed Elgarhy head of the center and the expansion policy we seek encourages us to diversify sources of funding and establish a variety of partnerships.

MWC actions are many; including issuing research papers, policy papers, and holding seminars. In addition to our plan for launching capacity building projects, global outreach program and cross-cultural dialogue events.

Our main partners is certainly Mostaqbal Watan party, the majority party in the Egyptian parliament, in addition to a network of esteemed academics across Egyptian universities, plus coordination relationships with El Garhy steel co. and Al-Ahly sporting club.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

MWC has important potentials for contributing to the network, as MWC has strong relationships with Egyptians legislators and policy makers, in addition to its relationships with the majority party. In addition, the diversified network of high quality academics and sophisticated research structure that MWC owns can help the network better access policy makers and be better empowered in research circles and academia. Not only that, but also MWC global outreach and cultural dialogue programs combines relationships between different entities including European politicians, Egyptian policymakers, Egyptian academics and youth. This offers a good opportunity to engage entities of different background in dialogue and discussion.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

MWC and Anna Lindh Foundation shares two main objectives; influencing policy makers and empowering youth. However, MWC seeks to benefit and be guided by the experiences and expertise that Anna Lindh has, in addition to the network of partners it administer. MWC believe that this Anna Lindh expertise and network of partners can help MWC better engage with society and support its intended projects of global outreach and capacity buildings. The help , support and mentorship of established institutions like Anna Lindh, not only inform MWC about better options and other points of view, but also save alot of time and resources that might be wasted if MWC took the journey alone.
