BİTAV’s principles are: employing scientific methods and participatory approach, focusing on problem solving activities that are innovative and creative as well as transparent and eco-friendly.
BİTAV’s objectives are: (i) to contribute to national science and technology policies as a NGO; (ii) to establish partnerships with public and private agencies in order to maximize the befits of international funds; (iii) to extend scientific R&D activities; (iv) to participate to design regional innovation strategies in order to diminish regional discrepancies; (v) to contribute to solve employment problem by providing training activities compatible to the EU standards; (vi) to encourage the young people to participate to scientific activities.
The main asset of BİTAV is its “project approach”. Different stages of a project from developing an idea and preparing a project to management, monitoring and evaluation and finalizing are its strengthens which was proved by thematic projects such as training, science and technology, culture, regional development, tourism, employment, capacity development, etc. On the other hand, most of these thematic projects include youth, women and disadvantageous groups.
BİTAV can add its capacity and expertise to the network in order to increase its synergy.
To take advantage of the capacities and experiences of network, on one hand, and of individual members, on the other.
