Join us on October 17th for a thought-provoking panel-discussion "Digital Storytelling: The Intersection of Culture, Peace, and Security."

Speakers: Edgar Mannheim (Kalam Podcast), Omar Alshogre (Syrian Emergency Task Force), and Rasha Shaaban (Mind the Gap stories).

Moderation: Martina Berglund (Swedish Dialogue Institute MENA).

During the panel, you will hear from the speakers on how digital narratives - ranging from podcasts to media - can foster intercultural dialogue and amplify voices for peace across the Euro-Med region.

Edgar Mannheimer is the founder and host of the podcast Kalam, which focuses on Middle Eastern culture, history, and politics.

Omar Al Shogre is a public speaker and a human rights activist. He is known for his efforts to raise awareness of human rights abuses in Syria and his personal experience of torture and starvation by the Syrian government during his three years of detention.

Rasha Shaaban is the coordinator of Mind the Gap programme at the National Museums of World Culture. Mind the Gap is a creative programme, promoting inclusion, , equality, intercultural dialogue and active citizenship through digital storytelling.
