The EU Active Network organises educational events throughout Europe for students, young people and beyond to allow participants to immerse themselves in new countries' customs, learn about different traditions and cultures, network internationally and discuss and fight for various social causes.The next meeting will be held this summer in France, in Clermont-Ferrand. The goal of the event is to bring young people from across Europe together to experience the scrum project management methodology for EU youth workers. Thanks to the partnership with the European Union, part of the costs associated with participation will be reimbursed almost in full.

The primary goal of Stories of Palestine is to strengthen society's resilience, especially among women and young people, by promoting art and culture. Serving as the 3 year project’s culmination, the Stories of Palestine project was a resounding success, encapsulating the spirit and creativity of the Palestinian people. The day began with an open house and bazaar featuring local products and handicrafts, offering a platform for artisans to showcase their work. Alongside this, film screenings of 12 captivating short films enriched the cultural experience. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in a cooking workshop that immersed them in the vibrant flavors and culinary traditions of Palestine.

A musical exchange between Palestinian and Viennese music students, led by Marwan Abado on the Oud and Sofia Labropoulou on the Kanun, created a harmonious fusion of musical traditions and a sense of cross-cultural connection. As the day progressed, an evening feast of Palestinian cuisine and a vernissage, showcasing visual art, further enriched the cultural tapestry of the event. The grand finale featured a mesmerizing concert with Marwan Abado, Sofia Labropoulou, and music students from Palestine and Vienna, demonstrating the power of music to bridge cultures and touch hearts.

Since the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, there has been increased terrorist activity across the region: Hezbollah in Lebanon is setting fire to Israel's border, the Houthis are threatening international trade routes out of Yemen and Da'esh has once again become a focus of attention with attacks in Iran and Russia. This panel discussion will explore the responses of various countries in the Middle East to the current situation. How are Egypt, Syria and Iran reacting to the current threat? What tactics and concrete counter-terrorism measures are being used to try to restore and protect internal and regional stability? The aim is to gain an overview of the current terrorism climate in the Middle East and to understand the perspectives of the regionally affected states.

Please find here the training Module “Inclusion Now!” – an exploration of the interactive and experiential methods and tools focusing on youth inclusion, equity and diversity in youth work in the Eastern Partnership countries. It was implemented by a Consortium of 8 civil society organizations – including the Austrian ALF member IZ – Vielfalt, Dialog, Bildung – based in the Eastern Partnership countries and the European Union. The Training Module is aimed at developing the competencies of youth workers, youth educators and youth trainers on equity, diversity and inclusion while providing strategies and recommendations to help young professionals to create more inclusive and diverse environment in their organizations and in their work with young people.
