Vilnius Büyükelçiliği / Embassy of Türkiye in Vilnius held the first Vilnius University Turkish language and culture alumni meeting, which was attended by the vice-rector of Vilnius University, doc. Dr. Valdas Jaskūnas, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, prof. Dr. Mindaugas Kvietkauskas, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy Assoc. Dr. Vytis Silius and other friends of this community.

General Information
The Creative Industrial Park 'Architecture Centre' is a public institution, which employs two staff - a director and an accountant. Other human resources are volunteers and project partners. Each year, the Centre is implementing activities (various projects), with a budget of between 15-28 thousand euros. Centre's funding sources are the state (Lithuanian Cultural Council) and other organizations, the private legal entities acting as project partners or supporters: Lithuanian Union of Architects, Architects Chamber of Lithuania, Vilnius Academy of Arts, The Associtation of the Real Estate Enterprises of Lithuania, JSC Alu System, JSC Beola, Knauf, Wienerberger Ltd., and others. Activities are financed by own funds as well, eg., the sale of books. The Centre's activities mainly consist of various cultural projects related to architecture and other arts. In 2013, 2014 years, the Centre has implemented 4 projects each year. Projects relate to publishing, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, research, media (for the five years the Centre develops important web-sites of Lithuanian contemporary architecture: www.archmap.lt and www.archmuziejus.lt).
Mission and Objectives

The mission of  the Creative Industrial Park 'Architecture Centre' - to raise the understanding of the importance of architecture, culture, and surroundings among the Lithuanian, European public, to encourage its participation in the transformation of European cities.
The main purpose of The Centre - to foster the innovation and integration of the culture, science, and technology, to promote the cooperation of the domestic and foreign creative, business and art centers, to educate the public in the fields of architecture, and other arts-related business, to maintain people's interest in sustainable urban development.

Main Projects / Activities

Since 2011 the Centre develops important web-sites of Lithuanian contemporary architecture: www.archmap.lt and www.archmuziejus.lt
In 2013 an Travelling exhibition "Architecture close to Us" was prepared and starte to travel through the country.
In 2014 the Centre has published a photo album "Contemporary architecture of Lithuanian resorts".
In 2014 accompilshed a scientific research on the conversion of former industrial sites in Lithuania.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

The Centre can contribute to the Network through participation in various programs concerning culture fields, as well as by taking the initiative on actual projects in the architecture field, representing the activity of the Network in Lithuania.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

The Centre aims to contribute to the international, inter-regional development programs in architecture, cultural areas, the main reason - because of the predatory, mercantilist activities of the real estate developers and stakeholders, architectural, urban quality is threatened. To overcome it, we can only united fellows from different countries.
According to H. Morgenthau, through the culture, imperialism sweeps and controls the souls of people; thus, after the collapse of culture, there is a risk of losing humanity.

General Information
Public institution “Culture Menu” was founded in 2009 in Vilnius, Lithuania by Egle Deltuvaite as a co-operational culture platform for artists, culture, private and public institutions. Main activities: • Publishes books of high artistic and cultural value; • Organizes exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad; • Organizes International Art Photography Festival in Vilnius “In Focus”; • Represents Lithuanian and foreign artists in all their activities; • Intermediates between artists, public and private sectors and international organizations; • Organizes and participates in various trainings, seminars, workshops conferences and other educational programs; • Consults artists, culture operators and other institutions; • Collects, saves and spreads information about artists and their activities; • Cooperates with other organizations in Lithuania and abroad in achieving its objectives. At the moment, officially there is one person – director, with the plan that in the second part of next year the human recourses will grow to several persons. Despite this, there is a team of artists and culture managers, art critics and volunteers involved in successful development of the organization. It has a strong basis on experience of arts and culture management and network of partners from Portugal to Japan. Organization also has necessary technical and IT equipment for everyday activities’ needs. Budgetary recourses seek from 30 000 to 40 000 Eur per year. Sources of funding: local and international foundations, private sponsors and partners.

• Second International Art Photography Festival in Vilnius “In Focus”, 2010
• Arles Photography Festivals’ Award of the Year – Rimaldas Vikšraitis’ – exhibition in “Piekary” gallery, Poznan, Poland.
• Exhibition “Lithuanian Photography from 1960’ till 2010”: gallery “Fotoforum West”, Insbruk, Austria
• Arturas Valiauga photography book “Japan Daily Menu”.

stablished in 1922 (re-established in 1989) and ranked as the TOP 700 university in the world (QS World University Rankings), Vytautas Magnus Universityis one of the most liberal and modern academic institutions in Lithuania, boasting an exciting history, nurturing and continuing deep-rooted traditions, playing a leading role in not just Lithuanian, but also the entire Baltic and European intellectual and cultural sphere. NGO ‘Diversity Development Group’ (DDG), founded in 2012, is a non-profit organisation with an objective to carry out scientific, applied and infrastructural projects in the fields of human rights, education, equal opportunities, diversity, migration and integration. The main aim of organisation is to improve and manage diversity towards a sustainable, tolerant and socially responsible society. DDG activities include the following areas: Monitoring of contemporary processes of migration and integration of migrants in order to accumulate, develop and disseminate the theoretical and empirical knowledge about contemporary migration processes in Lithuania; The development of equal opportunities for migrants and other vulnerable groups: monitoring of living and working conditions, human rights and social inclusion, social mobility and networks; Promotion and consolidation of fundamental rights and freedoms: equal rights for migrants and other vulnerable groups in areas of employment, housing, health care, social services and education; policy analysis and recommendations; Preventative actions against xenophobia, racism and intolerance; Fighting against human trafficking.

Inform and educate the society about the various minority groups: dissemination of research results, seminars, conferences, trainings, social actions. Active participation in shaping public attitudes;
Actively participate in the development and implementation of social policies to ensure the protection of vulnerable groups in the society (including prevention of discrimination, promoting tolerance, improving equality and human rights);
While aiming for a harmonious, tolerant and fully integrated society, to create and develop mechanisms for intersectional cooperation: to include governmental institutions, non-governmental organisations, academia, independent experts and business sector in shaping social policies, political debates and discourse;
Raise awareness about human trafficking in contemporary societies.
Diversity Development group has implemented or is still in progress more than 20 different projects, trainings and researches in the field, carried out in partnership with more than 70 entities from almost 30 different countries. Main Projects / Activities

DDG team is actively involved in researches and project-based activities on national and international levels. It has been working in the field of migration and human rights for more than five years. Its experience covers qualitative and quantitative research, evaluation of migrant integration indicators and monitoring tools of migration policies. Experts of DDG contributed to the conceptualisation of migrant integration policy model in Lithuania and Lithuanian Migration policy guidelines. For the moment the team consists of  9 members - director, 2 experts, 3 projects managers/researchers, 1 training organizer, 2 research assistants. ALF National Network team will be supported with all possible intellectual support and expertise as well as  necessary facilities.
