General Information

WILL Association consists of a founding body, an international consultative body, and a members/volunteers body. The majority of budgetary resources are secured through national funding from governmental bodies that WILL Association works with, international donors, and private funding from the founding body. Our modalities of action include concrete projects in the field and exchange seminars and capacity building workshops. WILL Association members are regionally recognized as expert humanitarian and development leaders in the MENA region. Our main partners include Lebanese Ministries of Education and Social Affairs, local and regional partner NGOs, international networks and community based groups and gatherings.

Mission and Objectives

Mission statement: "Working for Inclusion & Life-long Learning" Within its mandate of establishment, "Will Association" has the following objectives: 1- Conducting educational, social and cultural lectures for local communities. 2- Offering educational support to IDPs, refugees and people with special needs of all ages and backgrounds in collaboration with private and public sectors. 3- Offering health and food services to IDPs, refugees and people with special needs of all ages and backgrounds in collaboration with private and public sectors. 4- Capacity building local civil, cultural, and social institutions and associations through training workshops in different areas of intervention. 5- Coordinating with National Governmental Institutions and International Agencies in planning, implementing and following up on projects during emergency situations. 6- Activating the local community role in planning, implementing and following up on development projects. Will Association believes in the inclusion of every individual in every life-saving and life-sustaining process and in the existence of positive-transformation opportunities in every crisis and the ability to use life's multiple encounters and situations as learning opportunities for all.

Main Projects / Activities

- Marhabtain Project: Arab Cultural Exchange project to be launched early 2013. - Education support projects: for refugee populations in Lebanon - Emergency medical support projects: targeting 52 villages all over Lebanon. - Capacity building and livelihood trainings for single mothers and out of school female youth - livelihood trainings for handicapped and people with disabilities - Collaborative mentoring techniques; teachers support project.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

WILL Association will participate in the Network's events in the country and will support the implementation of relevant projects and will act as an implementing partner wherever possible. WILL Association will also participate in international seminars and workshops and will support the ALF calendar in the region.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

As the President of have previously participated in an ALF seminar in Tunisia in 2011, and in November 2012 in an event in Slovenia. I have also been following up on the Euro-Med cultural exchange programs and I believe that WILL Association can be a strong Lebanese partner organization, due to its large network and expertise.

General Information
Women-Adult-Youth (WAY) is a Lebanese local Non-Profit organization with a background in supporting Women and youth sectors through all capacity building necessities. The organization was registered in 2009 and consists of 34 registered members and a network of 800 persons. WAY aims to accomplish sustainable development in Lebanese society; managed by a five-member council elected by a general committee for two years. It implements several activities and projects in cooperation with various Lebanese, Territorial, and International Civil Society Organization in order to accomplish its aims. WAY has directed its activities towards developmental projects that aim at empowerment, especially those aimed at local communities and the youth groups and in various sectors. Funding for the organization stems primarily from project funding, which has included generous donations from the YMCA, the al-Fayha municipalities alliance, and several partnerships with municipalities in the Akkar region. Members also pay nominal fees for membership. WAY also recently implemented a regional project with SIDA entitled “Young Women Leadership Development” that worked to empower 600 young women to engage in politics.

WAY Mission
WAY is a Lebanese cooperation for development NGOs and Youth which acts locally with communities to promote sustainable social change by improving the living conditions of vulnerable populations, especially Women and Youth, and by acting upon the causes of poverty and inequality.

Women Alive Organization is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious organization that focuses on building up justice, democracy and human rights mainly women’s rights.
Women Alive was founded in April 2021, as a partner organization of the Lebanese Council to Resist Violence Against Woman (LECORVAW), that completes its role and objectives and focuses on additional activities and mission within a more specialized and developed framework.

Mission and Objectives

The principal mission of “Women Alive” involves achieving gender justice and equality and elimination of all forms of discrimination, GBV, SGBV and E/GBV, in addition to women empowerment, and this through the following axis:
• To prepare and publish social and legal studies and researches related to women issues and discriminative laws.
• To prepare and submit reformative drafts of law for suppressive laws against women and girls, and repeal and amendment of articles (Lebanese Penal Code, Family Status Laws, Labor Law, Nationality Law, Election Law, etc...)
• To implement TOTs, trainings and workshops for experts for spreading awareness, advocacy and support of women rights and issues as well as legal reforms.
• To carry out cultural, social and growth activities to raise awareness on women issues and change the social mentality and structure that establish the culture of discrimination and violence against women (VAW)
• To focus on activities related to women empowerment for active participation in decision-making positions.
• To provide human aids and relief services to women and girls during war, armed conflicts, social and health crisis.
• To establish centers for men with aggressive behavior and offer them psychological consultation and support.
• To establish the family medication center to maintain stable and balanced family relations.
• To offer administrative and professional consultation related to organizations management.
• To release non-periodical publications on the organization’s activities, research and studies.
• To form coordinating networks with the civil NGO’s, women organizations and the stakeholders, on the local, regional and international levels, in order to emphasize women role and promote their rights,
• To network with mass media for support, advocacy and raising awareness.

About WPA:
The Women’s Programs Association (WPA) is a non-profit non-governmental organization (NGO), legally registered with the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities since 2008. However, its history is rooted back in the 1950s when the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in the Near East (UNRWA) established sewing centers to support Palestinian refugee women in the camps in Lebanon.
The Association is a manifestation of UNRWA’s support to the local community that gradually resulted in an independent entity working to promote its governance structures while maintaining its grass-roots approach and identity.

The World Youth Alliance is an international non-governmental organization based in New York City with offices in 6 regions around the world, including the Middle East. Staff work from around the world and meet twice annually in NYC for training and conferences. Sources of funding come from private donors as well as grants given to particular projects. Main modalities of action include: online training program, "Track A training"; regional internship program; yearly members conference and training workshops. Main partners include other local youth NGO's as well as local universities.
Mission and Objectives

The World Youth Alliance Middle East is part of the World Youth Alliance's global network of members and staff that work on promoting the dignity of the human person through advocacy, culture and education. We work with members aged 15-30, training and educating them on the person-centered approach to human rights issues as well as on the modality of UN negotiations and conferences.

Main Projects / Activities

Our main regional projects include: 1- Our "Track A training"; an online training program aimed at educating interested youth on the philosophical and practical roots of the international human rights project, particularly within the United Nations. 2- Our Regional Internship Program; a 3 or 6 months program aimed at giving youth first-hand experience in advocacy work as well as a chance to work on their own projects. Internship program includes Track A training program. 3- Educational/Cultural Events; conducted regularly throughout the year and include a film festival, education workshops based on "Track A material"; school/university seminars etc. 4- International Solidarity Forum; conducted once yearly at the New York headquarters and the UN headquarters, regional members work on defining the region's most important issues in order to include them within the yearly theme's resolution.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

With members from around the world and a closely knit community, we will be able to bridge our country's network with people, cultures, ideas and projects from all around the world. We pride ourselves for our diversity and work to find solidarity, particularly concerning the dignity of the human person, within all cultural, religious and other diverse backgrounds.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We would like to join the ALF Network in order to connect with other youth-based organizations within the region and in the hopes of collaborating on projects and events. Further, we would like to extend our reach in order to give the chance for more young people to join us in our activities and benefit from our projects.

YCC is a public service of the municipality of zouk mikael, its staff is made of 3 employees, a director, a librarian and a programs coordinator. the municipality is responsible for budgeting the employees income and other running costs. the director works on creating partnerships with other cultural centers, NGOs and corporate companies to cost share the rest of the center's expenses. YCC is an incubator for interaction and development that aims to: create a space for dialogue, which seeks to increase communication among all segments of the population. promote a sense of participatory democracy and citizenship through meetings and exchanges. familiarize the public with new technologies by providing access to the Internet (WIFI) and regular training sessions (browsing, software use, etc.). promote culture and art as catalysts for universal communication. provide a space for reading and support active involvement in the learning process by encouraging the formation of research groups eager for knowledge and learning.

YCC offers a wide range of activities to the local and national community. in addition to the public library services, we provide weekly cultural activities, reading sessions, computers sessions, free access to the internet, conferences, competitions, exhibitions, language sessions, and above all we provide a platform for all young artists to express themselves and realize their ambitions.

General Information

We are NGO based on volunteer work. We have 31 professional members who participate in projects proposals and implementation and are trained in EUROMED context. We have more than 200 active young people who support us in projects. Our funding is based on local organizations like banks and schools, in addition to international organizations especially EUROMED. We have partners all over MEDA (Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco) and EU (Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Poland) in addition to UK, Ireland, Georgia, in addition to local partner organizations including YWCA, Right to Play, LANA, PYO.

Mission: Facilitate through various means the development of a dynamic and informed world-wide NGO community able to influence policies and actions at all levels. Objectives: A. Our main projects involve youth and woman for enhancements of their capacities and vision. We work on several developmental projects in the need of our community within word wide frame including environment, health, democracy, active citizenship.

We are very active in Lebanon, we do workshops and have netwroking activities with other partner organizations. Our projects invilve bringing youth and women from different cultures and backgrounds for exchange of experiences and education.
