Its organization structure includes: legal representative/artistic director; Board of Directors; Assembly of Associated. Decision are taken according to a collective principle. Average annual turnover: 160.000€ ÷ 200.000€ Funding bodies and main partners: Emilia Romagna Region; Municipality of Faenza. It relies also on a wide network of organisations collaborating (see. attachments) on specific projects. Other funding sources: European Union: since 2010 financed on various project as partner or lead partner. Ministry of Culture support for the tour abroad Fondazione Cassa Risparmio Ravenna and Banks for local projects. TDM's work includes theatre training, production of shows, promotion (theater, music and dance reviews) and dissemination (conferences and meetings). It acts on the regional, national and foreign territory.
Mission and Objectives

The association aims to carry out socially useful activities of associates in the cultural field. The main purpose is: promotion, enhancement, development and dissemination on the national and international territory of theater techniques, art and culture in general, or activities of theater, music, dance and theater performance, as well as related educational initiatives; of studies and cultural exchanges between theater and other artistic disciplines.
Since its foundation, Teatro Due Mondi runs a stable theatre research focusing in particular on street theatre being its mission is to bring theatre where it is especially needed: suburbs, orphanages, socially disadvantaged areas, streets and squares.
In particular, it aims to promote human growth and the development of a fairer society in respect of rights and according to principles of tolerance through artistic work addressed to different types of audience: young people, adults, but also subjects in social difficulty.
During over 35 years of activity, TDM has brought his own shows and workshops all over Italy and the world, from Northern Europe to South America, from Taiwan to Eastern Europe and Africa.
Its ethical motivations start from the need to build a human society founded on respect for the other.
It aims to create a theatre form, particularly street theatre, that speaks a universal language accessible to all, and that acts as a communication tool of social issues.  Recently, its work is even more engaged in the social sphere, using theatre pedagogy for the social inclusion of underrepresented groups (migrants, unemployed people).

Main Projects / Activities

The group’s work comprehends both theatre teaching and theatre production (street theatre performances and workshops, social committed theatre, theatre for children and creation of final essays), organization of events (theatre, music and dance), information, dissemination and net-working (conferences and meetings about artistic and social issues).  It is operating internationally, touring all over the world with performances and pedagogical activities.
The groups’ activities has two basic strands: the STREET THEATER and its SOCIAL COMMITMENT ACTIVITY mostly related to pedagogical projects. In the street, the TDM has met cultural and social realities far from commercial theater, and has developed a theatrical technique based on the use of the body and on non-verbal communication that facilitates the encounter of a very heterogeneous public: adults, young people, elderly people, children, of different countries, race and social background.
Today the Teatro Due Mondi counts: 50 productions, 25 special projects, 5 European Projects, 3 of which as lead partner, several dozens of workshops and seminars, over 3,000 performances in international festivals, theaters and streets of 33 countries on 4 continents.
THEATRE PEDAGOGY is conceived as an opportunity of exchange and dialogue with the community: various pedagogical projects in Italy and abroad: courses and workshops for YOUNG generations, PARTICIPATED and MULTICULTURAL workshops. The staff of the Association has developed its own capacity to MEDIATE BETWEEN DIFFERENT CULTURES, to develop processes of integration between the participants and RECREATE A SOLIDARITY COMMUNITY.
Recent projects with "non-actors" want to "give voice" to the weakest or marginalized social groups (“OMSA project” with the dismissed unemployed workers and the “Refugee project” with the refugees hosted in the Faenza territory): for those social groups the theater becomes a means of social communication as well as an effective empowerment tool.
The European Projects conducted in recent years develop the theater activity on an international level as a vehicle for "social inclusion", sharing it with other cultural and social realities of the European Union and other countries.
For over 10 years the TDM has been in contact with foreign communities in the Faenza area. After the first workshops with the refugees arriving from Africa, a “permanent theatre workshop” is born to involve the immigrant communities of Faenza, Italians and refugees hosted in the area. It has carried out awareness and promotion projects with conferences, meetings, shows and concerts (Lo Straniero, 2011, realized with the network of associations for the promotion of integration in Faenza), bringing street shows and theatrical actions realized together with foreign citizens in public spaces.
From 2011 he began a theatrical research investigating more closely the issue of female discrimination: starting from the issue of work (workshops and theatre actions with the female workers fired from the OMSA factory), to the issue of equality by producing performances on the theme of gender violence (VEDRAI, VEDRAI) and on the social role of women (conference-show THOSE REBEL GIRLS).
In Faenza, the Association has carried out numerous cultural and theatrical projects through the “Casa del Teatro”, a theatrical culture center that offers a specialized library, a video library, an audiophile and a theater.

Teatro Potlach operates as an international school of theatrical arts and crafts since 1976 in Fara Sabina (Lazio, Italy). It produced several street performances both for children and grown-ups and many successful performances, as the recent “Twenty thousand leagues under the seas”, winner of the Best Actress award at the International Festival of Teheran. It already took part to 4 interreg programmes. Since its birth, Teatro Potlach hosted actors and companies from all over the world, and regularly participates to international festivals in Europe, India, Middle East and South America. It has connection with 12 Italian and 6 foreign theatre companies, and with 4 European universities. Teatro Potlach is a member of the International association of theatre companies with premises in monumental European centres. The company counts 10 permanent actors and 2 executives with administrative jobs. Teatro Potlach is receive a grant from the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
Mission and Objectives

Teatro Potlach was founded in 1976 by Pino Di Buduo and Daniela Regnoli and takes its name from the anthropological studies of the founders. In the language of the indigenous peoples of North-Western America it refers to the free gift which gives honour and prestige to those who give it and those who receive it as well, in this way going beyond the laws of the market and of profit.
The history of Teatro Potlach begins in the years of the Roman theatre avantgarde, with a choice of rejection of mainstream theatre and the search for a new creative and geographical dimension. This eventually led its founding members to single out Fara Sabina, a small village within the Rieti province, as the base of the theatre. This choice has meant for Potlach a way of making theatre outside both traditional and avantgarde circuits, thereby inventing a dimension of coexistence and communal life as a premise and condition for the theatrical work proper.
In order to work on the technical essence of the theatre, and on the search for the total actor and of a kind of dramatic composition based on physical movement, it is meaningful for the actor to commit him- or herself to ongoing self-training. This takes the performer beyond the institutional idea of the theatre and into a constant exchange with the circus and with dance and musical performance through the constant experience of travelling and the ensuing contact on the field with performing cultures from Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Main Projects / Activities

Teatro Potlach has been expressing its artistic identity through the production of indoor as well as outdoor performances, and through pedagogical activities involving a range of expressive and performing techniques, with an ongoing exchange of ideas and techniques with national and international groups as part of the search for a professional approach capable of addressing every audience.
To this day the activity of theatre pedagogy is central in the work of the director and of the actors. Over the years the original core has acquired numerous regular or occasional collaborators met during the many tours and whilst travelling to explore other realities of the theatre.
A development of the ongoing research into the pedagogy, the composition and the space of action has been the production, over the past seventeen years (1991-2011), of many and varied performances of the Città invisibili project. For this Teatro Potlach was able to involve artists and communities from urban centres in Europe and in America. This project continues to reflect and regenerate the foundations of theatrical work outside theatres by transforming the spaces of everyday life through the discovery of the cultural identity of each place and the use of the creative energy of its inhabitants.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

We intend to promote and extend the social anti-mafia through the promotion of democratic processes, of the culture of human rights and of the social struggle against international organized crime. - To promote the cultural growth of the young European citizens and the sense of European citizenship, through international youth exchange and international educational projects. - To promote the social role of the migrant communities through projects focused on social and cultural support; to promote multicultural education, especially among the young and younger Italians; to support the overcoming of the cultural gap among the young migrants of the second generation.
Mission and Objectives

Terra del Fuoco is an NGO promoted by a movement of young people committed to support the process of European integration, sustaining an idea of Europe based upon the dignity and the rights of persons. Terra del Fuoco believes the constitution of a transnational, federal, solidal subject to be the generational objective of the latest sons of the 20th Century. Building Europe can create an example to other geographical areas, as well as a balancing structure for the whole world.
Therefore, we mainly work in the fields of international cooperation, especially with the Countries of the recent and future Europe, we develop youth programmes of education to European citizenship, and on our territories we promote the integration of migrants, particularly coming from the Countries of our cooperation projects, supporting the composition of a new social background and a new citizenship.

Main Projects / Activities

TRAIN OF MEMORY. Since 2005, the Train of Memory brings Italian students to visit the former extermination camps in Poland. It is, first of all, a year-long educational path. It focuses upon four keywords, spelling its timetable also: history, intended as analysis of the World War II phenomenon, of its effects on territories and of the lowest points reached in the recent global history. Memory, intended as personalization, encounter and confrontation with the few remaining witnesses, with the entities working in order to preserve memory, and above all with the places impregnate with it. Testimony, that is the encounter with all the situations that at present show the loss of dignity and human rights, in order not to forget that the “must not to let it happen anymore” depends upon collective effort by everyone, at at last commitment, our proposal for all, in the small ambition of our everyday lives, to be able to look out and contribute not to repeat the mistakes of the past. The Train has also a local extension named MEMOBUS.
IL DADO: Since 2005 we work upon the safeguard of a Rom community in Borgaro, nearby Turin.
We assist underage youngsters in the educational field whereas adults are supported in job-hunting and all bureaucratic issues – due also to the recent membership of Romania gained in the EU. In 2008, Il Dado is born: the first experience of auto-restructuring and auto-building addressed to the Rom community in Piedmont.
Other projects are focused on both the youth education and promotion of active citizenship, and on the social promotion of migrant communities, especially of Roma communities in Italy.
