ElMadina Arts is a non-governmental organization that is founded by Ahmed Saleh in 2000. Number of staff employed is five employees. ElMadina supports cultural and art work in its various forms, with the help of many partners including AFAQ, Cultural Resource and EU.
Founded in Alexandria, Egypt 2000. ElMadina has since worked to disseminate exciting and innovative experiences to enhance entrepreneurship in independent artistic and cultural fields, and support the Digital Transformation in arts and culture sectors. To achieve this, ElMadina develops quality projects and programmes related to production, training and business models. It operates in a spirit of cooperation, communication and networking. It is interested in engaging local communities, especially in disadvantaged areas. Allowing its work to be extended to Africa, the Mediterranean region and America. It also seeks to empower women, youth, artists and professional actors for them to be able to develop the artistic and cultural sectors that are linked to social and public space issues to contribute to a vibrant system of pluralism, diversity and freedom of expression.
-Street Carnival (A space for Art, Dialogue and Joy) is highlighting the ability
of the Nubian culture to integrate with the main Egyptian culture to overcome
social challenges through street theater performances, inspired by the Nubian
culture’s richness and diversity. The project will ultimately encourage Nubian artists to promote their
culture in wider communities and it will support artists from Alexandria who
will continue working with ElMadina in future street theater projects.

-SAWP project works to re-explore new venues to promote them as
spaces for arts and culture to support the creative economy of culture
which can play an influential role in sustainable development and social
change by changing the imagination of the citizens in how to use their
resources for start-up social enterprises.

-Studio ElMadina, which is an open space for free expression, which provides
training programs, residencies, meeting space and performance’s venue for
independent groups and youth initiatives. The project aims to promote
contemporary arts and multimedia for wider audience to enable the youth
group's sustainability to support the creative economy of culture which can
play influential role in the sustainable development and social change.

- Training in the street is searching for freedom in streets and operate on
training the artists out of the closed venues with participation of street
inhabitants.

- Tikeya a Nomadic Research and Networking Residency Programme that aims
to strengthen artists network in Egypt and Europe. Artists from various social
and cultural contexts are brought together in Alexandria, Siwa Oasis, and
Cairo.
