General Information
Life Vision is legally organized as a Foundation registered with the Egyptian Ministry of Social Solidarity. It currently employs 10 local staffers and relies on an extensive network of consultants and volunteers that help with its activities. For the past two fiscal years, we've been primarily reliant on donor funding for operational expenses in addition to some locally organized fundraising events and revenue-generating activities to cover administrative expenses. The association's projects generally fall into one of four sectors: WASH, health, child development, and sustainable livelihoods. Experience sharing and capacity building for grassroots NGOs forms an integral part of our operational strategy.
Mission and Objectives

Life Vision was established by a young team of developmental practitioners seeking to help the poor and the oppressed through targeted developmental interventions to alleviate the dire impacts of extreme poverty. We operate through a bottom-up community empowerment approach that emphasizes the development of local capacities to tackle any constraints holding back the local community as a step towards creating the necessary conditions for sustainable growth and development.

Main Projects / Activities

Since its inception, Life Vision has been involved in supporting the provision of water and sanitation services for upwards of one-thousand households every year through the generous support of Dorcas Aid International, the European Commission, and a group of local benefactors. We operate upwards of 25 care centers for people living with disabilities in cooperation with the Bishopric for Public, Ecumenical, and Social Services (BLESS). In 2011, Life Vision initiated a community development project in the garbage collectors community of el-Motamadeya near Giza, Egypt. At present, we're in the early stages of launching a Jobs and Business Center to promote entrepreneurship and train & employ disadvantaged Egyptian youth.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Owing to the size of our projects portfolio, Life Vision's staff has valuable expertise that they are eager to share, but they are just as eager to learn. We believe in the transformative power of collective action which means that we'll probably be partnering with other members of the ALF Egypt network in the future for collaborative undertaking. We also put knowledge sharing and capacity building at the forefront center of our actions so we expect to play a role in contributing to greater knowledge disseminating among network members.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

Life Vision is always looking to diversify its fields of operations with intercultural dialog being one of its top priority areas to venture into. Considering that ALF is among the leading networks of intercultural dialog, and considering the strong interplay between our work on socio-economic development and cultural development, we anticipate that we'll be reaping great benefits from networking and partnering with other members of the ALF Egypt network.
